I know this post is a few years old....But you just saved me! I'm a 64 year old grandma living alone in the country at least 1 hour away from my sons. I had placed my purse and bag on the truck seat, ran back in to the house to grab something else, and accidently hit the door lock and thought I gently pushed the door back to get by -- it shut and was locked.
My cell and the keys were in the truck in the garage. The truck is often shared as a spare vehicle when another one is in the shop... that's what this situation is. The spare was at my son's house. I was able to email text them because of your video!!! Thank you so very much!

@@ColoradoComputerSupport You said it's simple to find their carrier code but you didn't explain how which makes the video pointless.

Hi Matthew - it still works. I just asked Microsoft Copilot and this was the answer for current email addresses for the carriers:
If you'd like to send a text message via email, you can use the following **SMS and MMS gateways** for various carriers. Just replace `number` with the recipient's **10-digit cell phone number**:
      1. **AT&T**:
      - SMS: `number@txt.att.net`
      - MMS: `number@mms.att.net`
      2. **Boost Mobile**:
      - SMS: `number@sms.myboostmobile.com`
      - MMS: `number@myboostmobile.com`
      3. **C-Spire**:
      - SMS and MMS: `number@cspire1.com`
      4. **Consumer Cellular**:

      - SMS: `number@sms.cricketwireless.net`

      6. **Google Fi (Project Fi)**:
      - SMS and MMS: `number@msg.fi.google.com`
      7. **H2O Wireless**:
      - SMS: `number@txt.att.net`
      - MMS: `number@mms.att.net`
      8. **Metro by T-Mobile**:
