I think the biggest problem with bloodletters is that you sneeze on them and your ~200 point unit with a character attached is gone in a overwatch. If they gave bloodletters a 2nd wound though, these turn into genestealers with half the attacks but twice the damage per attack at base before any offensive buffs like bloodthirster's +1 to hit or skarbrand +1 attack or blood thrones +1 strength ap and damage. Giving them some survivability, i would happily eat a points Nerf and would bring a lot more of the "little guys" (probably 4 units work, 3 bloodmasters and a skulltaker)
@@EliteDarkAssassin Don't get me wrong, I think Chaos Daemons are mad overcosted across the board. Just seems that rules writers had horde in mind to make this detachment easier to get value from.
@@miztahmonstur i agree. Although if Khorne gets souped into world eaters, I might drop them in 11th edition after monogod support goes away as I can't afford to buy a 4th army/other half of the army.
I run a Khorne heavy incursion list. at first I thought 3 rendmasters and 3x bloodmasters and a skulltaker with 40 bloodletters was hilarious (it is). However I have subsequently come down from this insanity and now run 2x units vanilla 2 with bloodmasters and only have a single rendmaster.
@ So here is the logic; 2 vanilla units start on the board, and they are just there for the OC, and the fact I keep 2 CP going into my opponents turn so if they get charged at least one of them gets to swing before dying, so primary denial. The ones with the bloodmasters get spawned by a bloodthirster when he 6 inch deep strikes, with a rendmaster in tow. honestly a single bloodmasters unit of bloodletters under the influence of a single rendmaster (also hitting on 2’s because of the BT, and I try to get skarbrand in range too for 1+ attacks) will clap most things or seriously wound them in single activation whilst having loads of OC to deny primary. Not saying it’s perfect but I seems to work.
@8:30 Beasts already moved through walls though. So it's really just mounted and monsters that benefit with the strat. Bloodcrushers love it

@@EliteDarkAssassin Good catch, think my brain autofilled Swarm for a second. Thanks!

@@EliteDarkAssassin That's fair. How high do you think the chances of that are so far? Seems like this has picked up traction again.

@@ASBOmarc 😂😂😂 That is still many more Bloodletters than I have ever seen at once. Glad to hear somebody is rocking them!

@@ASBOmarc Hey whatever gets results! Sounds like a repeatable enough plan worth incorporating.
@@miztahmonstur I played invasion fleet with it yesterday, and I suspect daemons are a bad matchup for nids based on the score.
@@ASBOmarc Certainly can be. Shadow in the Warp becoming a potential heal for units also makes things harder.
