Welcome to our backyard! Enjoy this quick tour of out seating area. Yuliya. Mailing Address: Y Garden PO Box 1558, Montclair NJ 07042 E-Mail: ydoyougarden@gmail.com
This is one of the reasons we garden. To create artful places of color and repose to take in life's pleasures! Your garden rooms is very magical with your pets and seating, water and lighting. I would spend lots of time out there. It is hard to pull or remove plants, but I would say find a new home for the roses, if you can, and plant those hydrangeas. I can see how it would make it more lush.
Very inviting. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing this cozy place. I think hydrangeas would be great if you decide to change from the roses. I have an oakleaf hydrangea that's gorgeous and when the leaves turn purplish in autumn, ooohhhh wow. I love your dog playing. We have four, and I enjoy seeing dogs in peoples' videos....they're part of our family, right?
Oh so nice, I would sit there and relax with my coffee. What a treasure in your garden. I would love to have a place like that but I don't have a fence and like you said We like our backs protected 💗💗💗
Your patio area is so peaceful and beautiful. Love that you can look at your beautiful backyard from the seating area Love the doggy and his buddy.😊. Enjoy your vacation.
Such a beautiful space! Love the story of your dad and husband in the garden, and also loved the cameo with your pets and favorite stuffed teddy bear. Adorable!
Very lovely. I have a patio pond with fountain (love it) and I added three goldfish to it last year, so glad I did. They winter over in it here in the South just fine. I have water loving plants in it as well.
Oh my goodness! I never saw this video until now and I really missed out. This is gorgeous. I’m pretty sure you just nudged me to add a pond in again. I miss ours so much. Fantastic and beautiful garden! 🥰
The roses makes it have a formal environment. Maybe it needs more sun if they aren’t blooming enough. I think you have enough space to add a small hydrangea.
So peaceful and beautiful. Very glad you shared this special spot with us! The view from the seating area is so lovely. I must say I enjoy the pets and their cameo appearances....they are obviously part of your family❤
Oh my gosh it's absolutely beautiful! Such an inspiration! I will definitely be using the tips of a sheltered back area and open view when I'm planning our new patio space! xx Thanks a million for sharing!
Love your pond. It's more formal than the ponds of seen. I really like how it hugs your patio but with clean lines. I'm tearing my roses out after their first bloom in the spring. So tired of battling to keep them healthy. I will plant what wants to be in the garden 😁.
So far the majority vote roses are out, hydrangeas are in. I will wait until spring to make a final decision. I am sure i will change my mind 100 times between now and then 😁
Good day Yuliya, would you please do tour of your trees in the winter (without leaves), spring, summer and fall. All four seasons, it will be so interesting to watch. Thank you so much in advance.
This video makes me want to come from Texas to sit and have a glass of wine with you!!! It is so inviting, not to fancy or large! You absolutely achieved what you were after! Just lovely!!! Love and look forward to each of you’re videos! Gone back from the beginning and watching all of them again. Learn something different every time! Please never stop!
Thank you so much for your comment. I try really hard to make spaces welcome without being overly decorated and stuffy. And really appreciate people who appreciate that 😊
I can see why you'd spend a lot of time on the patio, it looks so relaxing, an the fire, I can imagine hot cocoa on a cool crisp evening. I have a pond with a bog garden on one end, I had so many dragonflies this summer they ate all the mosquitoes, it was wonderful sitting outside this season, that's saying a lot living where the mosquitoes are sometimes the size of horseflies. I like your idea of swapping Hydrangea for those roses.
You have a nice sense of style with creating beautiful spaces. I will have to see what I can incorporate to my urban garden. I love the pond. Thanks for sharing!
Cozy and welcoming. This is a very beautiful and useful area and the views from different areas are so special. Shows that you don't need a lot of space to make a gorgeous setting. It makes me want to really incorporate the idea of 'rooms' in my backyard.
Hi Yuliya, thank you for sharing your personal space with us. The gorgeous scenes at the end were lovely to see after a long work day. I want to come over and have a glass of wine with you 😊. Cheers to you and your beautiful garden! 🍷
Hi Yuliya, Thanks so much for sharing your backyard patio. It is so pretty and smart looking. I agree, being raised in a large city up north and living in Florida now, I really relate to not having my back to an open area - that goes for indoors as well. To be able to sit in a garden and your back not be exposed is just lovely!
I find your feelings about your rock endearing. I have a few rocks in my yard that I love and am grateful to have found them. Your seating area is lovely. I would love if you would talk about how you laid the brick in your patio. I would love to try that in a spot of my yard.
It is so beautiful. You can totally tell that you're an actual designer unlike the rest of us hobby gardeners. I love this one and your other tours of gardens that you designed.
It's obvious for sentimental reasons that you don't want to touch that part of the garden too much. As you've pointed out in your garden design series: what matters is how the garden gives the person using it what they want out of it.
What a charming and cozy area! The pond is perfect! I love the iron fence that disappears into the hedge too. How did you choose the location?? Would you explain at some point what your yard looked like in the beginning and how you changed it?
@@greatgardensforall I would love to know how you decided upon the location and design of this peaceful seating area. The water feature and crackling fire add a pleasant sound and ambiance to your backyard.
Absolutely perfect. What a great spot to get away from it all. Kudos to you for digging the pond. Love 💕 the design very clean lines. Wanted to let you know I did your no dig garden this summer 😃 was so much easier. Want to do another one under our evergreen is it to late in the season?? 🌲🌿🍁. Ps live in a zone 5.
This is Gorgeous! what a huge yard (compared to yards in Chicago area :)) .. a Lot of mulching. do you have mulch delivered? I can't imagine hauling those bags around to fill so much space. I also love the sea oaks. When I read that it spread, I gave it back to the cashier lol
It's beautiful. I want to do a water feature. What pump do you use, as far as GPH and type? Thanks!! your doggy sure loves his Poo bear!! So cute!! I hope you have a. wonderful time with your parents. Thanks again!!
Y Garden Hi Yulia! Subscribed to your channel and was meaning to write to you for awhile. I am also on the East coast and in zone 6. What a beautiful video and even more beautiful garden! I have the same kind of fence around my backyard and encountered a problem with rabbits (uncontrollably breeding on the neighbor's property) ruining everything and I mean everything, even plants they were not supposed to eat, like hostas and roses! I ended up attaching a black coated metal netting to the bottom of the fence, all the way around, about 200 ft! You can't really see the netting unless you are really close. It was hard bc I also have plants growing right next to the fence, but It was worth it! If you have your back yard enclosed could this help keep raccoons away? Take care and enjoy time with your parents! Irina
Absolutely lovely - Can't wait to see that Japanese Maple when the leaves turn color! I'd go with Hydrangea instead roses. (Roses may do better in a sunnier or dryer location?) But I'm with you on that thought. Your pets are the best garden ornaments! Thanks for sharing your tranquil space with us. I just love everything at your place! Hugs from Florida. :D
The sitting area looks lovely! I think hydrangeas will look great where the roses are currently growing. What about some of the hydrangea arboresence, like pink annabelle for some added colour? Any white variety will also look good, I think😊
I love the 30 year old patio furniture. What a cozy space.
never apologize for your dog! sweet dog, fantastic garden!!!!
Your furbaby stole the show ☺️lovely yard!!😍

It's beautiful, I enjoy your videos very much.
Such a beautiful space! Love the story of your dad and husband in the garden, and also loved the cameo with your pets and favorite stuffed teddy bear. Adorable!
Yes! it was so funny how they figured out without speaking a word on how to get that rock out.
Lovely garden room🌾🌾
Very lovely. I have a patio pond with fountain (love it) and I added three goldfish to it last year, so glad I did. They winter over in it here in the South just fine. I have water loving plants in it as well.
You have a beautiful garden. So inspiring 🌷⚘🌼
Beautiful! I like the pond shape. I have done circles or a soft curve but that looks great. Nice and inviting space.
Would love to see more about how you built pond- considering a diy project! Thanks
Just planted a Bobo hydrangea. These would look good in place of the roses. And they stay low. Would not block your view. Love the whole patio!
O nice suggestion! thank you

Thank you Laura! We love the pond, it's higher maintenance but so worth it :)
I love the moss...I’m not a fan of pristine outdoor spaces...it looks so unnatural to me. Love the pond!
So beautiful and peaceful! Just found your channel 😊

Definitely deserves a video. Great suggestion
So cozy! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! I'm going to dig a pond someday...eh, start digging one, then I'll let my husband and son finish it.😏😉

Quaint and Serene. Great spot to relax. Did your Buggleweed run or did you plant that many? Deep purple Heuchera, so pretty. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I planted a good number and it spread thickly but not as aggressively as other ground covers would in 10 years.
