The Squid would simply look down and grin widely, then he burst out in a maniacal laughter, then looking at the sponge, then two tentacles would pop out from Squidward's back, yelling: "Very well, SpongeBobu!! Wow that was great, it really captured a shounen anime moment when the hero remembers his friends after being beaten up and stands up with more strength. If it was anime it'd be so epic.

This one has more emotion than the original thats why it sounds better. People thinking the original is better only because they heard it first on the anime.
Ive never seen soul eater before, but i think this cover is a much better fit to the opening than the original. I think the choice to put it in a lower key signature and to go more guitar heavy fits really well because it makes the song feel darker, grittier, and faster paced, which matches the fast pace and darkness of the intro

In my opinion, The evil Squidward arc is the best in the series, Almost tied with the Denis arc. Truly a masterpiece of an anime 👌 Seriously though this song is great!
The Dennis Arc in the anime out ranks the Evil Squidward Arc for me, Dennis was like a god damn tank, he plowed through every fight with ease and even made Squidward push his Chum form to it's breaking point
