I feel you Kirsten.. continue to live the slow life as you had imagine it and tweak along as you go. The main goal is to feel at ease. Going back to school is not my thing either, not a group person.. Been there done that, even after schoolcareer, juggling work, home, family, kids and eveningschool to keep up with bosses demands. So now when I'll retire I just want to relax, live in the moment and only learn and pick up things I really want, really need, things that triggers my curiousity and are enjoyable to me. I want to be kind to myself for the rest of my life, so not planning to stress myself unnecessary😅 People ask me if I will not get bored.. well I'm not easily bored, if ever. I love my own company and that of hubby and nowadays it's so easy to find entertainment and distractions in and outside the house. Last month my daughter and I signed for gym..we went twice and we never went back, could not handle the culture. Now we do daily excesizes for 1.5 hr at home, with 3 lovely youtube ladies to guide us..
Feeling at ease, stress free, and enjoying the moment are really where it's at. It really is a beautiful thing, and it's such a great time to learn about yourself. I'm learning so much about myself and learning how to be kind to myself. We spend so much of our lives doing for others, and doing what we're told. I'm doing a lot of thoughtful de-programming from a lifetime of normalized behavior that seems anything but normal. Getting bored? There aren't enough hours in the day as it is 🤣 Always appreciate you watching and your thoughtful comments 😍
Love seeing these types of vlogs I’m glad your settling into a routine. Retired and living in Thailand is what my husband and I are aiming for . I feel you about class setting it’s not fun and learning a new language should be an enjoyable journey. 😊
Yes! We are finally at a point in our lives where just about everything should be fun, enjoyable, and positive. I'm having fun with learning Thai now that I'm going at my own pace and on my own time schedule. Look forward to you and Tony returning here to BKK 😍
Hi Kirsten, I am happy to hear you made Thailand home. Learning Thai is not easy but you can do it. I also follow "Ron Weaver" . He is American who has been living in Thailand for a long time. His channel shows tips about speaking Thai. His short video of teaching how to speak Thai is very fun. I like to watch them. He knows Thai language very deeply. You might like it 😉
Hey Dream, thanks for the encouragement. I'm feeling much better about my language learning these days than I was last year. I have seen a couple of Ron's videos, so awesome and inspiring 🙌🏾😃
From a course on Udemy that we signed up for back in 2022, but never used because it was too overwhelming at the time 😲 Now it seems much more manageable 😍
You have the best vibe! Love hearing about your season of leisure!
So nice, appreciate you watching 😍
