A long question but I really need a clear answer? I learn simple modeling with maya and some animation and rigging and texturing Then went to zbrush but i don't know how to make low poly model with it... so it can be sent to maya and animate it Then send it to unreal engine My goal is to make an open world environment like gta5 but also don't know how when you riding a car or walk on this open world it all show together how can I make that I know it's a long question but I also know u can simply answer it according to your experience in the field thank u
Hi Omar. So basically youre going to have to keep your models super low poly to make games that run well; actually there are other factors but for the sake of the low poly argument you can use the remesher in zbrush or you can remesh the model you made in zbrush in maya (Import the high poly zbrush model to maya and use the remesher in maya to help start the process... after that youll probably have to optimize the model by welding and retopologizing each model; there are plugins and other ways to automate this) Also the reason for your low poly models not running but GTA 5 running is probably because 3d programs take up a lot of processing and gpu power while games are optimised to take advantage of said cpu and gpu power... Also your simple models might not be as optimised as you might think so checkout some YT videos on optimising your topology.
