  • Columbine, super-sensitive subject but a very well done video portraying that day.
This woman is so fucking twisted but so fucking creative and artistic about it! I absolutely love it.
    Enjoy!

Hands down amazing video... being in high school when this happened this event shook the foundation of the country and opened eyes ...nothing like this had ever happened before and alot of lives were lost because they had no idea how to respond or that this was even possible

I was a Unitarian youth advisor in Boulder, and we had a youth conference the week before Columbine, with kids from all over Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and New Mexico. One of the youth there went to Columbine - she wasn't hurt, but a lot of the kids knew others at Columbine. We had a large goth contingent, and a lot of otherwise non-mainstream youth. I talked with them a lot.
One of the worst things in the aftermath was the treatment the goth kids got. The schools treated them horribly. One of the saddest things was that some of the goth kids found other students treating them more nicely, which at first they thought was great, until they realized that the nice treatment was not not selfless - it was from their peers who thought they might not be killed if they were friendly.
    So fucked up.
This was hard to watch, but thank you.

Oh wow. See. I was way too young to know the true effects and aftermath of this. Thanks for sharing!! It's super sad to even think that people were scared of goth kids like that and that's why they were treated "nicely", not nicely out of the kindness of their hearts. Pretty shitty and fucked up to hear shit like this.
      Thanks for watching, buddy.

It's a strange feeling to hear such a good song while being told a terrifying true story. And in an artistic and visually creative way.
    I like your video.
    I identified with your reaction.
    Greetings from Mexico.
btw React to Jim Jones or Tyler Hadley who are also artistic gems.
And musically Ne Obliviscaris - Intra Venus would be very good for your channel.

They asked Manson what he would have said to them. He said, "Nothing. I would have listened."
I was in middle school when this happened, I believe. I remember the lockdowns and the craziness. This video fucked me up when I first saw it. Great song tho

Also Bill is the face on the computer. So just like SKYND herself hanging out in the background of the video being omnipresent the entire time, Bill is as well.

SKYND is what is known as "true crime industrial" music. What I love about SKYND is that they do not try to glorify anything, they just use the case evidence as it stands and try to give you a real feel for the horror these people went through. Originally, SKYND was a duo. There was the female vocalist "Skynd", the male instrumentalist (wears all black, hoodie & mask) "Father". Now "TallyHo!" does all of their videos. In all of them Skynd takes on one of three forms at any given time, representing the silent watcher, the victim, or the aftermath. In that last scene her makeup and mask was designed to look like a shotgun blast. All of the lyrics are pulled from case files, here they are directly from the home videos Harris and Klebold made leading up to the shooting. Bill $aber's part is "Get up, ready, mark, shoot. How many victims is we 'bout to lose?" Their more recent videos are very artistically presented. Michelle Carter, Jim Jones, Chris Wattts are all great songs.

I wonder if the mask she ware in the end was suppose to be a image of shooters when they shot them self in the face with the shotgun. Like showing what happen to them.

I understand wanting to like music with horrible, unhealthy messages because it sounds good or the singer's attractive or charismatic. But I wouldn't get on the comments for a potato chip commercial and say "it is great how delicious this product is and it is so healthy for you. I f-ing love that they made these chips so f-ing good for you!"

What’s really sad not much has changed. They still ignore the warning signs and red flags about the shooters till it’s too late. And when they address what happened, blame guns, violent video games, music, etc, but never what’s going on at home, at school, in the shooter’s head, or law enforcement dropping the ball.

She's been around as Skynd for 3 years I think, but she has a "main" singing career, and also is a motorsports enthusiast and races as well, She's a spokesperson for Porsche, or representative, something like that lol. She's also from Switzerland, Father I believe is the one from Australia, which was where she met him before forming the group. Her "normal" pop soulful stuff is good too tho, a mix of covers and originals.
Definitely check out Jim Jones tho if you haven't, that was the first song/vid from them I saw, and that one still just messes me inside everytime I watch that video, that MV is my favorite, with how it was shot, very artistic, more tame then the others but still as poignant. I've read her say that song affected her the most too, and was hard to do, and you can see it in her face during the MV.

    • @anzamoni
      @anzamoni 3 роки тому

@@evaearthling yes Skynd is used to collectively call the Duo, other members are usually fillers, as Father normally takes care of all instrumentals in studio, but she is also referred to as Skynd and He Father during interviews. "Formed of SKYND (vocals) and “Father” (producer/multi-instrumentalist)"
