The first one is so great. That's exactly what it's like working the night shift by yourself. You can't remember what the customers order, you're always understocked on everything, and you get really paranoid really easily. Piss off a customer? Now you get to spend every night worrying in the back of your mind that they'll come back with a gun, while also keeping up with everything else. Good times *And of course, the inevitable "why do they make the food this way when it's clearly better this way?"

note about the "are you responsible for having someone drink and drive and crash and die" topic, legally yes you can be considered someone responsible for their death. i have an alcohol selling licence and its beaten into you now a days when taking the course. if they are obviously intoxicated and start slurring their words and acting funny, and you continue to serve them drinks, you are 100% accountable. there's a certain % they need to be at for you to also be involved. having a margarita at a mexican restaurant while also eating and staying there for about an hour would be a case of you not being held responsible. they are eating and also passing time, and are most likely slightly buzzed which is fine for driving to an extent. sorry for the reddit tier post, i just wanted to explain if anyone was interested.
Yeah. it's especially personal to me because my sibling's father died in a tragic way because he was over served at a bar. Not due to drunk driving; but there was an active train track right next to the bar and he stumbled to that area and got stuck on the tracks and was hit by an oncoming train.
Kiosk is a perfect example of "damn this looks like a fun game" and then they throw these pretty cheap jumpscares at you. And I get disappointed that we have the equivalent of a comedian running offstage to tickle you and then going "But you laughed!". The guy going "turn around" was pretty sick though. And the dread from the 5 beers guy story, too.

I'm fine with 30 minutes of mundane activity - that is real horror in my opinion (I Saw The TV Glow is a great example of mundane life horror in film) but I do wish it had more than jumpscares sometimes. Like why can't it just be uncomfortable? The jumpscares rarely add much to the already-present horror of existing amongst others

It's always easy to judge a situation with hindsight. It's the individuals responsibility to at least have a brain capacity to understand that driving might not be the smartest idea while you are intoxicated, and if you can't trust you self on that part, then don't drink at all, or at least have a trustworthy friend with you.
Usually when people succeed in suing a giving-you-things company for giving them things that they asked for, there's a detail in that one case that isn't true for all the other cases. A lot of people run their mouths without the slightest idea what the actual facts of each case are.
I think there's validity in questioning your actions on serving someone who doesn't seem to be alright. If everyone had the attitude "not my job / not my concern" then we'd live in- well the world we have now because of that. With all it's bureaucracy and dissolution of responsibility
I should make a couple soda's of my own. I will make a piss colored citrus beverage named Doctor dew. And ill make a alternative beverage solution to cola with some spices and call it Mountain Pepper.
