I am so happy that you had a better outcome than my son. Even though he was a believer, he took his own life in a veteran suicide. He moved to the opposite coast and lived homeless for 4 years, became an addict, and went to prison before even getting help. He kept relapsing and then when the Taliban took Afghanistan before he could get his terps out, he gave up hope. I am so broken over the loss of him, as are so many, many friends and family. This should have never happened. But here we are. Always look around you...you will see the love clear as day if you would only see.

*My wife is 8 months pregnant and as she was driving today, she got involved in a terrible head collision accident. Her car was pushed away 15 metres away while she was inside. I thank God she survived and the baby is okay. God is great*

I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to God "God please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really God all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! God is good!

I'm an ex-Muslim who found Christ. At one point in time, certain life circumstances had me depressed and even suicidal but after finding Jesus, worse circumstances have not broken me. Because my strength is no longer in myself, but in Christ. And that is more than enough. I have found peace, peace that cannot be taken away from me. Thank you Jesus!

+Tim ORourke This is something I have struggled with. For me, because Islam was such a works-based religion, I applied the same standards to Christians. I didn't get how Christians could just do whatever they wanted (or so it seemed) but so long as they accept Jesus as their savior, they get a free pass to heaven? That didn't seem very fair. While even at my most pious time as a Muslim, I wasn't even guaranteed a ticket to heaven? It took the Lord arranging events in my life that led me to opening the bible myself and reading it with my own eyes. It all made sense to me when I understood that in His eyes, we are all sinners, none worse or better than the other. When I was a Muslim, I remember being so judgmental of others. This is because I was taught that some sins ARE worse than others. So I might be a lying, gossiping and plain mean woman, but hey, at least I'm not a thief or a murderer. In Islam, we are taught that as long as the good weighs more than the bad, we get to go to

It drove me insane, living my life thinking how the heck do I know if my good is more than my bad? I couldn't know, no one can. I'm sure others don't have reasons as good as I, and so that's why God will make an exception for me. Because otherwise, if I truly believed what I was taught as a Muslim, I would have led a flawless life, in fear of all the punishments I would have gotten after death. I'd like to share my testimony. I'm 16 years old, and believe me when I say, I've been through it all. I'm currently homeless, for the third time in my life, while still trying to go to school. I've been couch hopping for what seems like forever. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always been sick, so my family has financial issues because they spent so much money making sure I lived to see the next Christmas. I've also had a terrible childhood, which I won't explain in detail, but I will say that I've been in therapy for the past three years because I was mentally traumatized. Sometimes, it doesn't seem fair that this is all happening to me. But the great part about my life that separates me from so many, is that I have God to help me. Even though my life sucks, it is well. That's what this song is saying. It is well with my soul, even through the bad stuff. So don't let the bad stuff get you down, because through it all, God is with you, and if a 16 year old girl such as myself, whose broken beyond belief, can accept God and his love, then I pray that everyone else can as well. My daughter was born at 27 weeks. We’re at 30 days in the NICU she just stopped breathing and turned blue in seconds, I just prayed and declared Jesus life over her and she came back to normal. Hallelujah! When asked how I was doing I said this is incredibly hard but it is well with my soul.

This will probably get buried but my dad passed away from cancer four months ago. He listened to this exact video on repeat for hours on end during his home hospice. I went to mass last sunday (for father’s day) and silently said, ‘I miss you dad, where are you?’ Can you hear me?’ and just cried during the whole mass. Ten minutes later, after the gospel reading, what song did they happen to play…It Is Well With My Soul. I’ve never heard it at a mass before or since

Let me share my testimony:
I was rejected by my father, mother died when I was 4, and had to be raised by granny in a place where drugs are a real deal.
Currently I'm a 3rd year medical student and the future is bright. At least I can hope for the best. 90% of my friends I grew up with ended up in wrong ways. Some are in prison, others aren't doing so well with either gambling or drug addictions. And here I am. Its only by his grace, and I'm not saying God did not love my friends just as much, but his ways are mysterious. I can only be grateful for what he has done for me🙏
If you're going through a tough time, please hang in, keep trusting him. His ways are mysterious and before you know it, you probably will be having other problems to solve...
My sister died today. Her nurse played this video as she took her last breaths. This song ushered my beautiful sister into Heaven.

I don't why but of many of the beautiful testimonies I keep seeing of all these people going through and testifying still, this one touched me to the point of wanting to respond. That part when you said, "My sister died today," really grabbed me. I don't know how long it's been I'm crazy enough to believe that even through this terribly difficult time our amazing God is giving you His comfort. Cuz only His can really bring real lasting peace.

God came to me one morning while listening to this song. When the song ended I felt such a complete relief. Tears were streaming down my face. I am stage four metastatic melanoma. My journey has been long and painful but I never surrendered. I’m on immunotherapy to extend my life. The next day I went to MD Anderson for my scans and treatment. The Dr said the mass in my neck and shoulder were not visible……. Only some very small nodules barely detected in my lungs. This is GOD folks. I truly believe he released that cancer the morning before while I was sitting on my patio. Dear god if you never listen to anything please folks follow Jesus and never surrender. My wife and I are having a twin babies of which God has answered our prayers. Lately we discovered it is a twin to twin transfusion (TTTS) and we are holding onto God for his faithfulness and promises in our life. We can’t wait to share our testimony just like those testimonies we received about God’s miracle for TTTS. TTTS is whereby one of the baby is healthy but the other baby has not have a heartbeat. However comes to week 16, if baby B with no heartbeat still has to be surgically removed and will endanger the life of the other baby as well. We will be documenting our journey and helping others who need miracles and boost of faith. God bless you all and God loves His children.

My mum died last Friday after a long battle with cancer. The last 2 weeks of her life were really tough for all of us. I had this song on my iPhone and the thought behind it carried me through. It is well for me, but more importantly it is well for my mum. She is in the place where there is 'no more death or mourning or crying or pain' and that bring such comfort & hope in the midst of the pain.

Hi, I have been there with both parents dying 11 months apart over 10 years ago. I would have loved to this song then as I do now.
I sang this song and played this video over and over again at the birth of my premature son, who was in the NICU for a while. I would even play it on my phone while rocking him. He was not expected to survive, but God had other plans! Today he is a happy, healthy 3 year old. We can have peace in the waiting and in the wondering because of Who God is. He gave me peace my son would live, and this song is a huge part of that journey.

This was one of my wife's favorite worship songs . She passed away January 14th. I continue to listen this song on a daily basis and it brings so much peace and comfort to me. Even though it hurts and pain so much I'm comforted enough to keep going.

I lost my Mother 18 years ago. My Dad had pasted before her. Everyone gone. I was at my lowest point in my life. Ready to end it all. I was saved when I was 12. Having that seed planted in me I turned to god. I started watching church on tv. While I was watching a ad came on about a church near me. I was broken and alone and very tired from taking care of my Mom. I had lost 30 pounds only able to drink ensure for nutrition. I arrived at the church weak and broken. My Mom was my best friend. I started attending this church every Sunday. Eventually with Gods help I started to heal. Never give up. In my darkest hour I turned to god and he gave me the strength to heal. I am 61 years old and thriving today from the grace of god. All you have to do is ask him to show you the way and invite him into your life. God bless you all.
This chorus was playing over and over in my head while I was having a brainstem blood clot stroke and they thought I had died during Careflight transporting me. Then I received my miracle ... Freaking doctors out. I am back leading praise and worship again. It is well.

This year was the 5th year since we buried our son... during his funeral I got up and sang the hymn "It is Well" with my father. Those three words have reminded me so often that in Christ All is WELL! There have been waves of pain and grief... but so much greater were the waves of Peace and LOVE! The first two were the death of his four-year-old son and the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, which ruined him financially (he had been a successful lawyer and had invested significantly in property in the area of Chicago that was extensively damaged by the great fire).
His business interests were further hit by the economic downturn of 1873, at which time he had planned to travel to England with his family on the SS Ville du Havre, to help with D. L. Moody's upcoming evangelistic campaigns.

This song pushes me to keep going. About a month and a half ago I moved from Florida to Puerto Rico, God called upon me and my parents to leave and start a church. My parents are both ministers and God gave me the calling of a worship leader, He has given me talents in my hands to minister with. We obeyed and came to Puerto rico just clothes in a bag and a couple hundred for finances. On arriving things were difficult no job but we had friends help. We had no car no refrigerator no bed no sofas nothing to heat up food but God blessed us with people. I left my older brother and sister in Florida and also everyone I grew up with to come here and have nothing. I felt lonely and kept asking God why am I going through this. One night i broke down under stress and loneliness and this song popped up. I began to pray and in my spirit i understood God was telling me that it is well that He has everything under control and that there is a process. The process of tearing down to rebuild. He tore me down and rebuilt me and when I was at the point of giving up He let me know that through it all it is well! Im giving this testimony for two reasons! One, God torn down the temple and rebuilt it in 3 days! We all need to go through a process to be able to with stand the new dimension He wants to take us to! Secondly, that it is always well. Even when the storm comes and through that process He is there and that it is well. The Bible says that he is the lantern to your feet. It doesnt say flashlight to your path! You will only be able to see your next step not the whole path, have faith in Gods plan and understand that that through everything it is well!

Throughout my college years I've struggled academically and failed to get a C in any of my courses no matter how much I studied. I always felt like a failure and that I was never good enough. I am preparing for my 2nd year medical exams and I've never felt more defeated and hopeless in my life. I feel like I can never measure up and that I will always be an average student who always gets the lowest grades. But I choose to believe in Jesus. He says that I am an intelligent young girl. I will not let the storm in front of me make me lose faith because even the storm obeys Him. My Mother passed away unexpectedly last Tuesday. I am still crushed. I believe in God and in His Son Jesus Christ. My faith is all I have right now because I am struggling seeing His grace. This plan of God's is not apparent to me right now. I told my Mother I loved her every day and I still do. I am struggling.

🙏Jesus was with me 1-8-2022 and the 13-1/2 days when I was alone in ICU, in hospital beds, and through a rare never seen before aortic aneurysm surgery. I had my life saving surgery 1-20-2022. I talk to and called out to Jesus from the first day and also into the operating room. The calm and peace Jesus has given me is beautiful beyond words. From this emergency, it was also found that I have an egg sized mass in my chest by my heart that needs removed in 3-6 months. I continue to have faith and trust that Jesus will either remove the mass, or will give wisdom and direction to my thoracic surgeon.🙏

We play it all the time, I even learned it on my guitar, as my wife layed in the hospital in a coma fighting for her life with a brain hemorrhage. I played along with the chords as you sang our favorite song. Now fast forward 2 years➡️. She is sitting here with me healthy and happy and we are plannning a hike today in Pike National Forest, with 'It Is Well' playing in the background.
We have a prayer wrapped around this experience and song that we say to each other, to our family, and anyone we can share with: "Rise or fall, highs or lows, sink or swim, no matter what happens, we are truly blessed and God's got us! It is well with my soul"
My wife went into labor at 34 weeks because there were apparently complications with baby. Doctors said his throat didn't look developed and would need surgery right away therefore he wasn't swallowing and wife had to much fluid which sent her into labor. Because of lots of prayer and God's mercy baby was born pretty healthy with a fully developed throat. God works miracles and now i can testify to that. This song held us together through the whole ordeal. Praise God for his many mercies!

John Smith that is a very broad question which could take a lot to try to answer and i won't be able to really answer it but I will try my best. #1 God doesn't owe anyone anything. He is our creator and how can we as his creation judge him? Gods ultimate goal is our fellowship with Him through Jesus and never are we in more need of Him then when going through difficulties because they reveal how powerless we are to control our life. In our culture we have rejected God in every way and then expect him to come to our rescue when we are in trouble. Pretend you have a good friend and he wins the lottery and forgets about you. Then you try to contact him stay in touch and over and over he rejects you and completely pushes you out of his life and makes fun of you. Then he loses everything and comes to you asking for your help would you help him? That's what our nation has done to God after he blessed it and now every time something bad happens people blame Good as if it's his fault they where they are. But you know what the most ridiculous thing is? If someone repents and turns to God He will accept them and give them the greatest gift everlasting life! Is that not mercy? I can't explain why some babies live and others die but look at the abortions in our nation far more HEALTHY babies die because people are so careless and don't want to be burdened by this "inconvenience" and kill babies just because. Is God not merciful to those people who kill those babies? I hope i got you to think a little because this could take the rest of our natural lives dispute this subject. And i do hope that you will as i did come to understand Gods mercy more through His eyes. No one can pretend to completely understand God because that wouldn't make him God.

People of different beliefs all can die of cancer with or without prayer. I recently lost a friend to cancer and my family and church prayed our hearts out and he still passed. I just don't see a strong connection between prayer and healing cures. Some people die and some people survive. Thanks again for talking with me but if God doesn't care to answer our prayers because his feelings are hurt from cause we rejected him why pray? This goes for every god not just Yahweh.

I played this song over and over again when I tested positive to COVID-19 last year in July. This song strengthed my faith and I'm glad that God spared my life.

I don’t believe for a second that there was a single dry eye in that audience. This performance is legitimately the most powerfully moving thing I’ve ever heard. I was just baptized this past Sunday and I acknowledge that it was a battle cry and proclamation of my faith in Jesus Christ. This is the soundtrack I’ll always remember when times get dark.

Am singing this in my room, even though my heart is troubled with things that have grieved me....nearly had to call the cops on a violent family member, nearly on the verge of being homeless this semester while trying to keep my grades up, am experiencing problems with health that are making finding certain kinds of work difficult, and am burdened with finances and expenses making such a low wage...yet, I know God is with me, as He has provided me things in miraculous ways. He will not fail me now, as my joy and peace in this life are not dependent on what this life offers, but on the love of God. It is well with my soul. It will be well with my health, it will be well with my family. For those of you reading this, please keep me in your prayers because the enemy has hit me hard and wants to make me afraid, and keep me from stepping into my destiny as a young woman of God.

This was a rough semester for me as well, but God miraculously worked through my MS relapses and myriad of prior brain damages, parental alienation and false criminal charges to not only pass as a double major in medicine/psychology, but do so with Honors. I also needed this song. Was chatting and a friend said "it's well" after I had said something about my Tuesday Afternoon presentation before four panels of doctors. Tuesday Afternoon by Moody Blues is a song, so I went here to give her the link and well, tears flowed as Moodies are my 18-month estranged son's fave... and I can't listen to them, anymore. So, I posted this link to her comment and God gave me peace. This song instills peace in times of turmoil. I've had no place to worship since changing gender and being banned from my worship home of over half a dozen years, but God finally found me one just down the street where I don't have to compromise my spiritual values into the irrelevancy of universalism just to worship as a transfemale. I've lost so much and so many... my kids, my sister, friends, but it is well in my soul. God is good

My great grandmother is about to pass away. This song stirs up so many emotions in me. She is a firm believer and has seen a lot. She’s 101 years old, and has trusted God for a great majority of her life. She is ready to go, she has no regrets. But it’s still so hard to watch, especially because I can’t be with her right now. I’m playing this song over and over, remembering that he’s in control and that she is in his hands. Thank you for this song

In 2014, I lost very close friend of mine, my brother really; it was the only time I ever lost anyone close to me, it was heavy, and it hurt like hell. A couple of days after the funeral, my faith on the rocks and my heart full of anger, I played this song; 'Far be it from me to not believe, even when eyes can't see, and this mountain that's in front of me, will be thrown into the sea... Through it all my eyes are only you....' 😭😭😭
There was a flood of emotion over me, but more than that, there was a sense of surrender and assurance, that even in the worst of times, it is well, it is alright... I am convinced now that, if it weren't for this song and the message in it, I would have found myself in a really terrible place. I am GRATEFUL... ☺️

Sometimes as a Christian it's not easy going through trials and tribulations and sometimes I feel like I'm going through them alone but I know Jesus said he will never leave me nor forsake me. So what ever I'm going through he's going through it with me. And I know it is well with my soul.

This song has sat with me for the past month now.... I was in rehab all of last month, I was a hardcore drug user for the past 5 years, and it had crushed my body and spirit... I went to the church group because I had gotten this "urge" and "sense" I needed to go that night, the pastor put this on and I broke down halfway through it; I felt this overwhelming calm and peace within me, and felt that I had met peace with God. I walked out of that group feeling a newfound sense of love within my spirit, I had to go to sit alone and cry, thanking God for waiting so patiently and lovingly for me.
God is good, it IS well with my soul.

There are two other super helpful things newly born again followers of Jesus can do: (1) Read God's Word in a version you can understand; ask God to show you what he wants to say to you. There are some terrific guides out there to help, and the Bible will help us understand what is part of our old natures and transform our thinking; (2) Find a good group of believers to start meeting with locally. Jesus makes us part of his family, and we have brothers & sisters to help us walk with our Lord together. And you can be an encouragement and challenge to them as well! Blessings - Ephesians 3:14-20 :-)
Love how you said this, that you just "started accepting" Jesus into your life. From the first moment that you let Jesus in and give Him permission to dwell in you, you begin a lifelong process of transformation into the person He had in mind when He first had you in mind, which was before the creation of the world. But you are so right that it's a process of allowing Him to do this over time. It comes through the growing in an intimate relationship with Him. We are always accepting Jesus, every day, every moment if necessary.

Its difficult man, I'm going through the same thing, i often feel bad, like, I don't accept Jesus for who he really is, personally, in my life. and i forget that its a process, God is our father, and he waits patiently, not as some understand patience (whatever that really means). To me it means that He sits at the edge of our bed as a Father would, while the child is crying, hidden under the sheets. He sits and waits for us to come out from under them, into his loving arms, to let us know that He still, and always will, love us.

You know , as an 18 year old , I sure did question many things about religion and all , but being able to go to a Christian church and opening my mind to everything , it just made me realize God has always been watching over me , when my uncle past away I was so hurt , but now I know God has a plan for me and I give my all to him . My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer on 9/14/21. She was saved not too long before that. I sent her this song and I like to think that when she listened to this beautiful song she found peace and comfort. She lived until June 3rd of 2022 and I am so thankful that’ll I’ll get to see her again in Heaven.

My grandmother lived a good life from December 26, 1940 - September 28, 2016. This was one of the four songs played at her funeral. To Bubba, she was a wife. To three daughters and one son, she was Mom. And to 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, she was Mimi. She was in the hospital for two months on a vent. She had decided she couldn't do it anymore. On September 26, 2016, she was put in hospice care. As we sat there on her bedside watching her slowly fade away, all of us realized one thing: Life is short, so hold on to what is good. The only thing I regret about being in her room before they took her into hospice, is not telling her I loved her before she died. But she knew that all of us loved her, and is at peace in Heaven with our Lord. Rest In Peace, Mary Jo McCord. We'll miss you Mimi, forever and always.
