actually though, right? like, there are a hell of a lot of my "friends" who don't actually care for me, but if their friend's aren't around I'm like the backup, and if they feel like garbage they come to me to make them feel less like garbage.
Right??? I was like "wow...yeah....solidarity..."

i am at the grocery store because i feel sad.
i feel sad because nobody is in love with me.
nobody is in love with me but everybody loves me.
everybody loves me because i’m good at making people feel good.
i’m good at making people feel good because i have had a lot of practice on myself.
practice on myself because i feel sad…a lot.
i feel sad a lot, but when i make people feel good, i feel good for a little bit.
i feel good for a little bit, then i get lonely.
i get lonely and i am uncomfortable in my lonely.
in my lonely, at the grocery store
i practice trying to make myself feel good by pretending i am a regular person,
buying her groceries;
and not a very sad person trying not to crying.
crying gives me a headache.
headaches make me want to crawl into bed.
and crawling into bed is what sad people do.
what sad people do when they are lonely looks a lot like me at the grocery store.
in my lonely at the grocery store,
i feel sad but i look just like everybody else while picking out avocados and lemons.
items no one refers to as ‘comfort food’.
‘comfort food’ makes me want to crawl into bed.
to crawl into bed reminds me of two things:
i am sad and i am alone.
i am alone, in the grocery store, moving slow in the condiment aisle.
everybody knows in the condiment aisle, it is perfectly acceptable to stand around for too long.
stand around for too long and i will begin to tap dance.
tap dance lonely in the grocery store is a fantastic name for a book,
i think to myself, while waiting in line to reach the cashier.
the cashier seems surprised when i ask her how her night is going.
her night is going "okay," she says.
she says nothing else, except: _cash, credit, or debit?_
she waves goodbye.
goodbye is the saddest word i know.
the saddest word you know is my name.
my name walks around at the grocery store and feels less sad.
less sad, because at the grocery store,
_at least nobody knows there is nobody in love with me._

This was a beautiful piece. I loved the creativity with which she wrote this one. Every line came together to create something epic. "the saddest word you know is my name." DAMN what an amazing line. This really got to me. Well done.

Goddamn. Next time someone asks me how I feel, I'm going to send them this poem.
I don't think I've ever been able to truly say that a poem or quote or character has described me and dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't', but this poem just did.
And I'm happy it did. But I'm still sad.
It's like she knows exactly what is going on in my head. The last line made me cry because I could relate so much. Thanks Sabrina for saying the things I could never say.

The fact she proves her point at the "I make people feel good" once she makes the cashier feels good hits me. She touched that cashier the same way she want the world to touch her. And that's tough. I hope she gets the chance to be and feel touched the same way she touches people.

Why can't i stop cry?
this speaks to me on so many levels. i am her and she is me. i do that too -- at the grocery stores, malls, crowded streets. walking aimlessly. pretending.

I usually share my favourite poems to my Facebook, but this is just too good to share and be scrolled past on Facebook. I never know a concept can exist! It hits so hard at the few last lines:

I would just like to mention how simply beautiful she is. Her words, her voice, or even just her straight looks, her pure raw talent, and everything in between, she's amazing

Hi, I had goosebumps because I was literally having flashbacks of myself thinking and doing the same things. I listened to all your available poems in a go just now and I cannot possibly explain how grateful I am to you for making these.
This captures every single thing I've felt in the past 5 months...
So when she said the last few words I started to cry. This was such a good poem and im so glad I found her.
And now I’m crying. I feel so lonely even though apparently a tone of people love me. But for someone like me it’s really hard for someone to be in love with me. Life is dark in the sea of the different.

This is my favorite. Probably becuseit's exactly how I feel sometimes. I am loneliest at the grocery store when I have forgotton to go shopping before the holiday hits and I'm standing there with allthese other lonely people who forgot to shop before the hnoliday, and then we all form a chorus line.

I've seen this a dangerously large number of times in the past 2 months. Like, I'm here almost every day, a couple of times a day. She is that good, and this piece hits me just right because I don't think I've ever seen a piece of work describe my loneliness in such a perfect manner, except for maybe the song "Breathe Me" by Sia.

This was so beautiful. I feel the same way . Everybody loves me bu t nobody is truly in love with me . And I go to the groceries as well pretending to have someone that doesn't exist.
Sabrina reminds me of me but at least she had the courage to read to people what she has been writing and hiding to let go what's inside and to tell people like me and her that we're not alone .. the only difference that I'm still hiding behind a pile of papers which probably no one will ever read ..

I used to relate a lot and probably I still do, but now I have someone who loves me and I start to cry just thinking about it, tears of happiness. Someone will realize how amazing you are, but if it doesn't happen, you don't need someone to realize something that already exists. (Hope you understand, sorry English isn't my language)

Lonely sucks because it is not about being alone. Loneliness is about wanting to be wanted. I know because I have spent so much time alone, even in a crowd.

In 42 years alive, I have only fallen in love once. The problem was that she fell for me too. It was only a problem because it scared the heck out of her. She dropped out of college midyear and moved in with her Gran a mother on the east coast a mewhere. Though I apparently don't fall often, I have never been scared by it. I think I still love her.
