This was very cool and just the information i was looking for, But i do have two questions : How it after 11 months of use was it always ok to use or did problems with connection happen, And second, I know you said the buttons on the steering wheel work do you mean the volume and skip track buttons, work as intended, Sorry for lots of questions but i just want to make sure before i give it a go. Many Thanks.
Hi there, yes after 11 months it’s exactly the same as the day I installed it. All working fine, no side effects. I’ll double check everything tomorrow and let you know 👍🏻
@keithgreen1263 just checked mate. The connections are fine and the volume buttons work fine on the steering wheel lever but the seek buttons do not when the AUX mode is being used, I don’t think they do normally in that mode regardless, I think you only use them for tuning the radio. But no problems apart from that mate
If the radio and CD functions play through both left and right speakers but the AUX function does not, it could be due to one of these issues: 1. Wiring Issue: The Bluetooth module may not be correctly wired into the AUX input. If it isn’t connected properly, you’ll only get sound from one speaker (or potentially none if connection is weak). Double-check the wiring to ensure the connections from the Bluetooth module are correctly wired to the AUX input. 2. Faulty Module: The AUX input or the Bluetooth module itself might be faulty. Testing the AUX input with a known working device, like a phone or MP3 player, can help you rule out whether the problem is with the AUX input itself or the Bluetooth module. 3. Grounding Issue: If the Bluetooth module isn’t grounded correctly, it can result in weak or no sound output. Ensure that the ground wire from the Bluetooth module is securely connected to a grounding point. 4. Compatibility or Interference: Some Bluetooth modules may have compatibility issues with certain head units, especially older models, which can cause intermittent issues or reduced sound on AUX. Testing each of these possibilities should help isolate the issue.
An excellent video, very clear. I'm fitting one of these for a friend at the weekend so, this will be really helpful. Thanks.🙂
Thanks @paulrowntree2800
