One of Greyson Chance's Fans Inspired Him to Come Out

- After Greyson Chance went viral with a video of him singing a cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" at age 12, he became one of Ellen's favorite talented kids. Now at 21, Greyson returned to the show and talked with Ellen about why he decided to leave the music industry for a few years, and what a fan said that inspired him to come out as gay in a moving Instagram post.

He’s so used to being in the industry since he was young, he’s done the interviews too many times
He’s the same way with his fans. It’s just the way he is which is actually amazing!
The biggest hurdle to be an artist is to have that confidence and fearlessness in front of people. You can see he had that from the start. Next, of course comes the talent, and he has that too. He's so likable too. A very nice voice even just speaking.

I met him yesterday at the KROQ, Amp Radio, and Channel Q house party for Coachella! He sang and interviewed. HE KILLED IT!!!! Like his voice is so amazing and versatile too. My jaw actually dropped as I was watching him perform. I hope Ellen posts his performance too!

How did I not see this in April?!?! I met him at Milwaukee Wisconsin pride fest shortly after this in June! also saw him in concert with Cody Simpson when I was 12. He was so sweet and he cares so much about everyone, he even spoke to my mom about random things. I got to stand next to his good friends father during the concert and got to hear about his friendship with his daughter and it just seems he surrounds himself with such positive people and energy. I love this.
I really love at how ellen supporting greyson since paparazzi til now, even tho he almost hiatus but she's still keep in touch and listen to his new songs

I Agree, and she was very short with him. Something was very off about Ellen in this interview. Like she was doing it because she had to not because she wanted to. She felt bothered by him.
