As far as I am aware I don't think so. PLA on 3D printing is somehow plant based I wonder what a laser would do with that. Clear is probably not an option but opaque colors would be available I am sure.
I am very new to lasers, but I need something to cut 3m self-adhesive sheets to custom shapes. I am using some vinyl cutter for this, but I am very unhappy about its accuracy. How many hours per day can this machine work, in your opinion, and how long would it last in general? 🙏🙏🙏🙏
10:18 That’s simply an IR LED and detector. Interrupting the light triggers the sensor. Simple. Just like auto-flush toilets, or the automatic sinks that never work right.
Compressor Question: I like the idea of the HPA, but am struggling to find a compressor. The one you are showing may be workable, but one thing you are not mentioning is how long are you running it at 40psi? Is that the maximum continuous output of the machine? Is the motor cycling, or, running the entire time? How long can the motor manage that? When I am completely up to speed, I'll be doing 380x800mm ish pieces with deep (1.5mm) engraving, which could take quite a while, even if I used the 40w, so, I am trying to find a machine that won't leave me with a pile of compressor motors in my yard.
If I’m going to do the air assist upgrade you mentioned with the air compressor in your description, do I have to buy the air assist through them for any reason or can I skip that and put that money toward the upgraded compressor? What I’m saying is I f I don’t buy the air assist through Xtool, will there still be a connection for me to hook up my upgraded air compressor to?
