Thanks Mike! It was so much fun speaking with you! ❤
Gracias a ti Beatriz!
Well done, I've been learning for a year and I still struggle with listening, I'm so happy for you , I wish I could just hear and understand it all.
She has a beautiful accent! Not at all like the typical English speaker's Spanish accent! Good job!!!
Agreed! Gracias!
La primera vez que oí a Beatriz pensé que era nativa. Su español es muy impresionante.
De acuerdo!
Very interesting. One of the first people I've seen who has used Duolingo to such great effect.
Agreed, she's such a unique case. I love your videos btw!
I love these interviews. And your book of course!
Gracias!!!
This makes me want to try Duolingo or some other app 😂. But I think some people find early success with a language because they kind of fall for the language. It just somehow jives with their personality or they think it does and they just start thinking about and in the language etc a lot.
I think this applies to lots of things. When I was in college I had a friend who always beat me at video games. He was super competitive I general but he would talk to me sometimes about how he always was thinking of new things to try in the game etc (when he should be doing something else probably). I didn’t think about the game very much when I wasn’t playing it and this really got me thinking about learning in general. I read a biography of Larry Bird when I was a kid and he couldn’t stop thinking about basketball… ever. So I’m thinking people who do better with languages just get kind of obsessed with them and think about them a lot.
The rest of us still learn etc but we just need to be more patient I think.
I know exactly what you’re describing because it happened to me with Spanish and not as much with the other languages I tried to learn a few months ago. Once that amor is there, really anything can get you to a decent level of the language as long as we’re exposed to it consistently and investing time in learning some grammar, etc. Buen punto!
¡Bien hecho reina!
Es maravilloso el nivel que ha alcanzado
Me encanta!! :D Loved watching this, have subbed! Keep it up man
Gracias!

Mil gracias!
Your title makes it sound like Duolingo was all she used and nothing else. But she only started with it.
Tried to be catchy, it was the base of her learning though
@@MikeBen ok
Yo vivo en Londres y estoy de acuerdo con ella. La mayoría de las personas en Londres no son abiertas y desde mi perspectiva creo que tienes que viajar dos veces al año fuera del país por lo menos 😂 🤦🏽♂️
My biggest one, hace falta, it makes lack. Its necessary????
Me hace falta = I’m missing, I’m lacking/I lack, I don’t have, I miss, etc. I can’t translate it to simply one English phrase. I hope this helps.
Im sure it wasnt just duolingo
It was her base is all, she definitely did other things
Hi your remember me I am Japanjot
