“My soon to be ex” good throw the whole man away. But I had also come to the conclusion that Bobinski must have tried to treat his radiation sickness with colloidal silver. Outside of genetics and circulatory issues not a lot of things can leave you that color
The whole theory about Bobinsky's skin being blue because of radiation sickness has been debunked countless times, radiations don't turn people blue, they kill people.
You are absolutely right that radiation doesn’t turn you blue, which is why I didn’t say he had turned blue because of radiation. If you reread my first comment you’ll see I said he had tried to Treat it with Colloidal Silver. If you google colloidal silver and take a look at some photos of people who have used it, you’ll see that the silver Does turn people blue!

About Miss Spink and Forcible: in the movie when Coraline went to take one of the ghost eyes in the theatre, miss Spink and Forcible are holding hands with one hand wearing the ring that has the ghost eye on. I imagined that was a hint about miss Spink and Forcible being a couple! ( It also might be a wish of theirs that the other world made happen, like coralines wishes, to be married with each other since they couldn't do it in the real world back then)

It's ok to feel those negative emotions given the circumstances, but remember, none of this was your fault. It was the actions of a slimy jerk, not anything you did.
i find the color palettes of some characters really interesting. like how coralines dad and the other dad wore complementary colors, with her real dad wearing a muted green and the other dad wearing a vibrant red (further driving in the 'somethings off' vibes to me). also the only character I can think of with the exact same palette in both the real and other world is wybie, and other wybie is the most honest and genuine person Coraline has in the other world

Oregon is a VERY left leaning, progressive state. My wife is from Oregon, and her brother is gay. And the majority of people there consider it a non-issue. You might be thinking of the 2013 case of a baker who refused to make a cake for a gay wedding, as it was against his religious beliefs. This, however, is not the typical response in Oregon in general. Indeed, the baker not only faced a civil law suit, but also "hate crime" allegations, death threats, and vandalism to both his business and his home. But nonetheless businesses who refuse to treat LGBT people equally and serve them should be boycotted, and people do well to refuse to buy any good or service from those bigoted anti-LGBT businesses. They don't want their money to go to bigoted and anti-equality businesses.

Also, I'm bi and I'm a member of the LGBT community myself and I also know some people who are part of the LGBT community, and us LGBT people don't deserve to see our civil rights violated and being denied service in stores and restaurants and bakery or hair salon or whatever and being denied the right to marry and adopt and being discriminated against simply for existing and for arbitrary characteristics that we can't control (being a non-straight orientation and/or gender identity, in other words not being cishetero) and LGBT or non-cishetero orientation and/or identity should be a protected class just like race and gender because they are arbitrary characteristics that people can't control and were born with, being born a non-cishetero orientation and/or identity is not a choice just like skin color and sex someone was born with is not a choice.
I'm a Center-Left progressive Christian and the Conservatives are lying and projecting their bigotry on to the bible texts, there's nothing in the original languages of the bible (hebrew and greek) against loving, committed same-sex relationships, as for corrupt english translations, there's four or five bigoted verses but they are extrapolations that were added later on by the biased and bigoted translators or the people who hired them, extrapolations that are not in the texts in the original languages. All biblical scholars and biblical linguists who are honest and truthful will tell you that. Also, Jesus/God could care less about one's partner's gender. Love is love. What He cares about is how we treat the poor, sick, disabled, orphaned, downtrodden, the least of these and that we make their lives better and live a life of love and service to our fellow human beings.

I read a story online about the other ghost kids. The pioneer girl was my fav story. Her name was Hannah and she was 13. She was British and had five younger siblings and she didn’t like having to look after them all the time. When she had the buttons sewn in, she said no first and then changed her mind. She had them sewn on top of her eyes, making her lose her vision. Behind the mirror, she was curled in a ball on the bed and her face was bloodstained and her breathing was shallow. She stayed there for a while and got weaker and weaker as if something was draining her life. Then, because of all her unbearable pain, she took one last shaky breath and let out a scream. And that’s why her mouth is open.

This movie has gotten a lot of love as of late, and I’m glad. :) while I don’t like Tim Burton (huge racist, from what I’ve been told), I do love these films, and my favorite flicks are Kubo, Missing Link, and ParaNorman. I love them, and I’m just fond of Susan. Though I do love Coraline, too, she’s rad.

I always thought it was strange that other Miss Spink and Forcible were given the fate of the other Father in the book, he was described as being like bread dough while other Spink amd Forcible became a chewing gum like substance? Im just wondering if theres any significance to that id be looking into it myself but my mother kinda threw away most of my possessions when i moved out, including my copy of the Coraline book (just so you know youre not alone with your life being a bit of a mess atm, but we'll get through it😅🤷♂️🙈🤣) also id kind of always assumed Spink and Forcible were a couple🤷♂️🤣 the old ladies that live together secretly being in a relationship is a trope im very familiar with, besides the voice actors Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders are a pretty well known comedy duo in the UK and a lot of the work they do together has, shall we say sapphic vibes😅🤣🤣

We definitely want to see more Coraline content!! Something I've always wondered about the movie is how the garden already looked like coraline before she went into the other world? We see the bird's eye view of it as she goes off to look for a well, and it very clearly would look like her if all of the plants were added. It seems like the other mother can somehow manipulate the real world?
Oh, there was a deleted scene where coraline tossed a spider and it landed in her mom's coffe at the beginning. So maybe the spider was kinds important, even though it didn't make it into the final

6:00 honestly, I did think these two were together. They argue like my grandparents do, and… honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever met sisters that would feel comfortable doing burlesque shows together. If they were lesbians and just using what they got to make some serious bank, that makes sense. I bet that that’s why they’re living together, in a share-house. I heard about the cake thing months ago. It's interesting. I also want to know why in the scene when Caroline meets Wybie (spelling?) He pets the cat and the cat falls over and stays there for a while. It's stop animation and they let it be instead of fixing it. It's confusing to me.

Happy Birthday! And some intresting food for thought. I never thought of the two ladies as sisters, because of their diffrent designs, but the video helps me. To think about what possible circumstances they had in chooseing the home. One or both ladies, could say. There prefure to live in their home state or town. After they had stopped the traveling shows. Mr. BoBinsky, probably had some sort of low paying job. Or if he was working in town with something to poison him. And he was aware of his livelihood going, it would be a something the Belldame would have an opening to operate with.

Edit: I have watched almost all of your Coraline theories and have come to make my own. What if Coraline was in the accident with her mother and it caused her to be in a coma and the beldam is like the grim reaper trying to see which side of the river she should cross. It would explain the "crossing-over" to the other world. It could also explain that at the end of the movie, she found peace after dealing with the beldam. The only thing is that the beldam could have possibly made her have some sort of a mental disorder into thinking she is still alive and well. That could explain why she can see ghost children too. The ghost children also ask her if she can "save them" because she was the only one able to find peace after meeting the beldam. It would also explain then end where her life suddenly gets better. She was able to finally able to have the life she always wanted. Now this is a bit contradictory because of wybie and the other residents but what if they are also some sort of an angel attempting to help Coraline figure out where she needs to be before the beldam needs to step in.

I enjoy your videos so much. Before I used to only use UA-cam to watch anime but when finally watching Coraline years after it came out I noticed so many things I massively enjoyed. I just got into Twin Peaks and learned how heavy people put theory’s in their films. I’m usually alone when it comes to my interests so with no one to talk to and my ex unkindly telling me I was grasping at straws with Coraline, The Shinning and other films I found fascinating UA-cam brought me your channel. No matter how much I educated myself on the subject with so many films more ridicule came my way. That relationship was 15 years and I found out he was cheating on me for the last 10 of those years and probably even the day I left him. Whatever happens I want to thank you because your channel supported me through so many of those years and kept me sane. You doing this video even during the time your world was changing… thank you from the bottom of my heart and I hope your life guides you to the happiness you deserve in life.

Reading your comment is giving me flashbacks to my own failed marriage of 15 years and 51 weeks where he also got caught cheating and I found at least 6 years worth of evidence that he acted like "was no big deal," and that ex LOVED to rip apart my theories and say I'm grasping or not making any sense, and I was like "which one of us went to college FOR film?" I just started adopting a shove-it-I'm-right attitude, and I cannot stand hearing that you've been through a similar ringer! I'm so sorry!
