USMC BIRTHDAY BALL MUSIC - March Off the Colors/Trio National Emblem/Semper Fidelis - Marine Band

A formal Marine Corps birthday ball traditionally includes both dinner and dancing, but the highlight is the official cake-cutting ceremony. When a live musical ensemble is not available for a birthday ball, recorded music is a viable alternative. Why is my school band required to have bell covers over brass instruments but you only have to put facemasks on two percussionists?

Probably because the Marine Band works and lives together and all get tested a lot?
