Thank you so much 🙏 I really appreciate it!
You did a STELLAR job! I can see where you got your work ethic from. Your Dad must be very proud of you! You seem like a fine young man. You have a good game plan. When you couple that with your work ethic, you are destined to go far in life.
Some questions: 1) You didn't really show that you did any prep on the back of the cab. With the bed off, I assume you prepped the back and then shot that.
2) With the bed off, did you do anything to give the frame some love? It would have been a good time to knock off any rust and put some rust converter and a top coat of some Rustoleum or something. Perhaps being in TX, it didn't need it (or the customer did not want).
3) What about the inside of the bed? It looked like it needed attention. Perhaps in addition to the body-work and paint, you can get some side hussles doing bedliners. A matching red liner would really finalize that truck as well as make it stand up to some more abuse as a tool (which is what trucks are to me...not some status symbol).
4) Always good to say what kind of paint you went with as well as the clear coat. Perhaps you said. I skipped through some small parts. Also, to go with that, the compressor and gun settings, as well as the nozzle size.
Overall, you seem to have some great how-to tips and techniques that belies your experience level. I wonder if you did some previous work at a professional paint shop. You don't look like a complete noob that has only done four jobs up to the point of this video.
Keep it up man!
Nice job, love the hustle, man!
Got that same buffer. I used it to polish some old, yellowed plexiglass. Worked fine for me.
Awsome! I wasn’t too sure about!

Nice!! Got that OBS lookin fresh
Good job man
Thank you 🙏
Im late for this video but tips when using a rotary for the compound and polish is dont apply the product on the paint instead on the pad and use your fingers to wipe it within the pad and dont turn on the rotary on the paint instead turn it on full speed away from paint and then put the rotary on paint, also dont take too long with the compound and polish cause you can burn the clear coat. i am a detailer if you have questions let me know :)))))
what it does is prevent you from making swirls and scratches and as well as burning the clear coat
All the gas used to just open box equals to full price if not more js 🤷♂️
Bro can u make a video or tiktok on the matterials you used and use for painting
Yes bro. Ima make a video breaking down the cost of starting this side hustle on UA-cam 👌
Looks good . Good luck
Thank you 🙏
you should def do the total yk like the tools i like foward to your videos
Will do! I’ll make one showing everything I use to paint.
Nice 💯
At what stage does this work ‘break even’ per job. Initial outlay taken care of the materials required etc must be unique for each project. But you have a price in your head etc?
I’m in the process of fixing Freelander that es my daughters. Welding all done just the filler stage before paint before final assembly. Paint is not my strong point but I learn new skills each time I do it. Watching your channel will hopefully reduce the mistakes I make and both practice and you knowledge give me the results I’m looking for. Thanks for posting. Awesome channel.
I think I will break even on my next job and make money every job after that.
I hope my videos help you out! Thanks for watching!
What kind of “filler” did you use for the clear coat drip? It looked like bondo.?
Awesome job brother!! I have a 1997 Toyota Tacoma that is in great shape but, I wanna repaint the entire truck. Let me know if you’re interested!!
Keep it up
Im binging through your videos. Question; Can i do a decent job without removing the panels? Im just not comfortable with that. Im a complete noob and by myself. I do have a garage
It’s not nearly as hard as it may seem. Take your time, use common sense, label parts and get that shit done!
Spent that 15 dollers in gas my guy. Thanks for the info though I'm gonna check my harbor freight
😂 your prob right
it is video and game let him play it like he wants too😂
I just picked up that polisher for 27 dollars my local harbor freight put it on clearance
Niceeeee. That’s a real steal
I got a 1977 Camaro I'm getting back too,
Looks good what brand of paint and primer did you use 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks bro 😎 I use Roberlo products!
2500 for a singlecab is a good number but all the body work is always extra 3000 would of been very reasonable taking the fenders and hood off. Buffing it aswell is also things you do if the money is right but it came out really nice.
Thank you! I’m just starting out and I honestly hate charging so much!
I was unclear on the cut and buff part, you wet sanded the whole truck 1000-1500-2000-3000 then polished? Or you just did that on spot that needed repair? Came out nice asf bro any help is appreciated
Thanks bro!! The whole truck! I did the same process to the entire truck. Just make sure you lay heavy coats of clear. I would say at least 3 bro
Draztik Changez in Pasadena did that grill from the screenshot. You should get with him soon on getting a job over there playa
I love the work drastik does. They are an inspiration!
@@nextcoat hell yeah my boy I appreciate the feedback. Keep grinding my boy
I have a obs F150 I’m trying to paint
Came out awesome man! Where are you located ?
Thanks bro! Houston! You?
@@nextcoat Waco, but im definitely down to make the drive! Where can i dm you?
Where you at bro? I get you do my truck you layer that out
Houston bro!
How many hours did you have into this project? What is your breakdown of how much you made per hour of your work, including drive time to get materials?
Man a lot lol. I didn’t keep track unfortunately but it took a month!
Can you explain how you're using the filler to fix the drip around 11minutes in?
Yeah bro. I’ll make a short tiktok on that!
@@nextcoat Make it a youtube short: 1- it will drive traffic to your youtube channel, and 2- There's a significant amount of people that can't or won't use Ticktock (anyone who works in a secure space can't have it installed on their device)
How many hours total tho?
show us what you bought to paint the truck
Will do! 2024!
Do you need need a good compressor for the paint?
I wouldn’t say good bro. Honestly just big. I use the 60 gallon from Home Depot
I'm missing something, $1650 to break even, $1550 profit, that's $100 left. How did you get $400?
You in Houston bro ?
Yes sir!
@@nextcoat awesome , hopefully soon I’ll be needing your services
What's a good email to get in contact with you?
Where are you located, I have an 01 gmc sierra with a nice body , just a couple small dents from car doors. I need it painted
Houston 🤙
