honestly. there's so much opportunity out there. if you've only been in one short film and have been acting for years you should reflect on what you're doing wrong. I'm an aspiring actress as well and I don't mean any negativity by this comment at all. however, just being a good actor is not enough to make it in the business. you have to have a sports mentality, you have to hustle, you have to have drive. also, the business aspect of it is very important too. Save up for professional headshots, get a professional demo reel that highlights your best work (that looks like it came from a tv show, not a student film), build your credits, sign with an agency, and most importantly TRAIN. you should be training weekly or at least working on your craft weekly. And btw you're never too late to the game in acting, there are roles for everyone! good luck, I hope this helped you in some way
