- So yeah, I went to that Corey Feldman show at The Norva last night mostly out of curiosity and, well, free tickets. I gotta say it was interesting beyond what I know how to put into words. Corey has a ton of energy and enthusiasm and he throws his heart into what he's doing, so I gotta respect that. So many humans go through life on auto pilot, missing out on the point of living. Corey doesn't. I can't say I'll ever listen to anything he sings ever again, but I will tell all of you doing what you love to do in this world to keep doing it. It's important to express and put yourself out there; who cares what people say?!
Setting the scene. Corey introduced all of his 'Angels' and they each performed a song or solo of some sort. I think some of it was because he changed costumes five times, but it doesn't matter; he introduced this as "Eruption" and it was something incredible to see. This woman, Jimena Fosado, kicked ass sampling too many epic rock songs. Corey introduced all of his Angels and they each played or sang a song. It was awesome and this woman kicks ass!
Imagine witnessing this talented person performing what they do best...then Corey Fraudman walks back out on stage...
I did just that lol. Corey was so laughable how "God's gift to the world" he thinks he is.

Nah, don't let the hotness blind you. She was good. She has talent. But she is no legendary by any means. Hot girl, shredding the guitar is a great combo. But it cannot be called legendary unless she is absolutely shredding. She was rushing through the bits a little and made a few errors. I am not saying she isn't skilled. I am not saying she isn't one hell of a guitar player. Legendary is reserved for those who make waves. Or those who do something no one else or not many can do. These riffs she rocked out to are very widespread among guitar-playing folks. If you don't play guitar it may seem legendary. but Almost all guitar players go through these riffs at some point in their practice sessions. She is talented as f$ck. Not Legendary....yet anyway.
I have a feeling that if this gig doesn't work out that she will be just fine.

Seems like Coreys angels should have just been angels and ditched Corey. I didnt know it but there was a little bit of talent in this band. Corey denied them of showing their skills by wasting their time playing his songs.

I'd love for a guitarist to weigh in, but she looks like she's been taught really well, just her technique seems pretty textbook. Things like her thumb firmly on the neck, her picking, arching of her fingers, all seem pretty clean. The thumb creeps up once in a while, but not nearly as much as the guitarists I normally see.

I hope this very talented player does not get trapped into a situation she was not planning on like some previous players who reported endured illegal unwanted situations perpetuated by the 'Comeback King'. Probably a dangerous dead end.

She must be his more recent guitar player, if you go back and look at the Today Show performances all of them had light complexions. She's much more memorable than the other one, so at least that is what's up.

She’s not that bad, not that great either. Those are easy riffs, tho. Her timing and pitch isn’t on spot but that improves over time.

So the act was her doing that followed up by Feldman moonwalking on the stage and "singing?" That pretty much tells you she is good at guitar, but terrible at making business decisions.
I have seen so many amazing guitar players... busking, or playing at bars making only a few bucks here and there. I don't remember who said it... some famous guitar player, could have been Keith Richards... he said the best guitar player in the world probably works at a gas station.
Unfortunately the rock band business is terrible and even tougher for most women nowadays. Then again this is a way to get noticed

This just goes to show that talent will always shine through. Even though Corey put her in a silly Frederick's of Hollywood angel outfit she still rocks. When she started shredding on that guitar nobody cared who she was or what she was wearing - all people recognized was her amazing skill. My point is that if Corey had this kind of amazing talent people would not care anything about his past. Corey seems like a nice guy (as far as I can tell, I may be wrong) and I wish him well, but he complains that people are biased towards him.
