It aint take me too long to make this one, but i dont think the community liked it as much as the old one. oh well, too late 2 make any changes even if i wanted to.
i do like some of the chords i did in this one tho, i like doing more atmospheric shit from time to time.
also the bf chrom is released alongside the vocal flp.
i enjoyed incorporating shit from sm64 tracks in2 this, hope ye all enjoy it.

It's rare to see a slow, melancholy song in FnF anymore. The more intense songs are good too, but the slower pace songs are a breath of fresh air when they pop up.

Him screaming Mario sent a chill down my spine. It sounded so desperate. Along with the waves crashing sound.
It's especially brutal if you've seen the SM64 Classified series by Greenio. In one entry, Luigi goes exploring the castle (which is always changing) while Mario watches as like a promotion for the game.
Towards the end, Luigi swims into a cavern and Mario looks extremely concerned because he relizes that Luigi swam into a locked underground cavern. Mario is forced to watch his brother drown and can't do anything to save him, then the castle makes the "L Is Real" statue as a memorial, and that makes this song especially melancholic to me

I love how the ending is just luigi singing, fnf mods usually tends to keep the player playing, but in this one is just luigi singing alone by himself.

I'm amazed at how someone manages to capture the essence of the game's "sad"/"soft" mystery side of things, while also being so calm, innocent, and beautiful to hear at the same time.
It's not "trying" be a crazy banger song of flashy proportions, it's focused on expressing an emotion within a mystery of this iconic game.
It's so simple and yet it works so well.... A "classic FNF-feeling" song in the modern area. Nice work!
It strangely feels like Frostbite (FNF Hypno's Lullaby) in the "emotion" of classic FNF Smoke 'Em Out Struggle (Garcello), but in the style of Mario 64, and in the topic of "L Is Real".

Watery Grave is 100% my favorite and nothing else in the mod comes close to this perfection. Not even Better Off can top this in my opinion.
i remember someone said that SM64 soundfont has this sort of "ethernal" vibe to it - it always sticks out. you can always FEEL it present.
this song is the prime example. the water leitmotifs, despite being present throughout the entire song, feel so melancholic...and relentless. it doesnt try to drag you down by its own, yet by the sheer power of your own mind...this heavy feeling of loneliness - Luigi was planned to be in SM64! but due to hardware limits, all he has now is himself. noone else.
the copypasta itself (L IS REAL) is a pure nostalgia trip back in the early days of the net. back when people believed those, when they even TRIED those. this is the perfect first-track to start the introduction to the whole shebang.

This is so much of a homage to L is real itself and the entire legacy that it manged to hold all these years. Sad it was sadly debunked because of the data leaks. But hey, all good things must come to an end. Funnily enough 24 years and 1 month at that lol
This mod perfectly encapsulates that legacy it held with the music, the stage, everything about it. From the saddening yet mysterious tone of the song and area, to the underwater section reminding us that the mystery was never solved back in the day, he was trapped under there, while we all tried many different methods to unlock/somehow save Luigi in sm64...
Thanks all of you for making my childhood memories come back to me once more!

There's this intense sense of Melancholy about this song, as if you're trying to find something that has long since ceased to exist, that only you truly believe ever was.
It perfectly captures the strange feelings of all the Beta SM64 ARG/Personalized type content out there.

This mod was so unexpectedly amazing. The presentation, the art, the music, and the gameplay so in sync with each other to make an AWESOME representation of our favorite mysteries from 64! This specific one perfectly capsulates Luigi's forgotten grave within the water fountain of the castle's court, and the feelings of watery despair around it, while also being a frickin bop. I give you 3 thumbs up for your amazing contribution to this spectacular mod! (Don't question where I got the third hand..)

This song fits so much the melancholic and soothing feeling of loss (which is the purpose of the song) that it has become my favorite. Just listening to the acquatic-like rhythm along with the incredibly soothing calm voice of the chromatics is amazing.

I know that I'm late to the party, but this might be my favorite song in the entire mod other than funhouse, shrouded and better off. The fact that this is sounds like actual Mario 64 music is incredible and the references of the theme Dire Dire Docks and the wing cap was just outstanding. The vocals, the instrumentals, the transition to them being submerged underwater and still singing. Maximum Perfection
the way luigi yells for mario just make me almost cry and it along with the song it make me imagene he falls back in the water and bf just jumps in to help luigi even knowing damn well luigis far from saveing and the reson luigi calls out marios name becuse bf remaides him alot of his brother yet not knowing why
