How wonderful to see the statue of Aneurin Bevan! Such a brilliant institution to have founded! It was lovely seeing the pictures of Portugal. It made me laugh that you had a cappuccino as I was subconsciously expecting you to have ordered a galão 😁😃 ~ Mandy
I'm sitting back, nibbling on a chocolate while sipping on tea and enjoying my day of shopping with you. When you mentioned about the long fingers.. ***blimey*** on the mannequin I laughed out loud. You have such an eye for detail... love it !!! The architectural detail on the buildings is amazing.. I just love it. So nice that you had a lovely day of shopping, and taking yourself out for a delicious Portuguese lunch. Thanks for sharing your day with us. 🥰
Glad to hear you are Covid free. Thanks for the shot of Aneurin Bevan's statue, I have spent the last 15 minutes reading about his life and legacy. He was the real deal in UK politics from the 1930s through 1960 the year of his death.
Ah steamed up glasses, a combination of stepping into the warm and wearing a mask, we have the same fun! Great you're back in Cardiff, we need to pay it a visit sometime this year👍 That's a great statue, nicely done...
Good to see town planners are putting in trees, We need to plant them wherever and whenever possible. Glad you had such a great day out and a negative test and you got your new bra's. Top job Imo.😀
Your random bits of shopping were fun! Sparkly nail polish YES and new boots. The Mitchem products generally are very good, get mine from Amazon as no one sells them here. I like the editing it is sometimes like one glancing around to see things. Very cool buildings and shops. I spied all those fountains and lamps which really must be a thing now. 50F today is an oddity. Yet icy coating on everything this morning! And snow tomorrow. Glad you could get out and shop at last.
Cardiff looks so beautiful at night, and looked lovely during the day as well! At 16:53 was that place really called Brains? Thank you for sharing your great day out! ~ Mandy
Aww thank you so much. I think the changing shots go over a lot of people's heads so I really appreciate it when people notice. I never used to notice them myself until I started editing. Thanks so much, Pamela. x
how are the new varifocals coming along? just a tip, if you are having trouble adjusting next time you get frames, try to get a deeper frame, eg, taller from top to bottom, that will give you wider and longer areas for both distance and up close.
Ooh thank you! I keep meaning to do an update on that in a separate video. Basically I'm getting on with them very well, though I prefer reading glass for lengthy close-up activities like reading, puzzling, editing but long distance glasses for reading music off a music stand. For all the rest I love the varifocals! Thanks so much, Brendan. x
I think I spotted something you should try. Next to that cheese, spinach, walnut pastry looking thing I think they had Pao de Queijo. A Very Brazilian snack. Looked like it and since Brazil and Portugal are practically all the same family, it might've been.
I use the Canon in low light settings and all the shots I film at home are done on that. For smooth walking shots I use the GoPro9. And for the zooming shots I use the Sony. All clips are tweaked for colour/lighting in post with Premiere Pro, so they didn’t look the way they do straight out of camera. I hope that helped. Thanks so much for watching.
I'd never heard of it! I'd been using the really cheap stuff a pound a bottle til now. It comes off in big flaps!😆 Hopefully this'll stay on a bit better. Thanks, Julie. x
Boots do their own cranberry tablets...in the vitamins section..i was hoping you'd spot them when u were looking lol. £5.29 for 30..and on a 3 for 2 deal. Hope this helps.
Thumb up 24. Great Cardiff film. I was looking for people I know in the back ground. 3:17 there is a bus stop behind you with a wildlife garden in the roof, I will send you a picture. 4:12 great for the veg, horse riders are not required by law to pic up after their horses.5:15 I believe it it to measure air pollution. 8:45 pumps out smells of sweets to draw you in to buy.
Perhaps some knights on horseback have just left the castle! You'd need a doggy bag and a half to get rid of that poop! Ha ha, nice whizz through M & S! Walking up and down non-working escalators is quite weird isn't it? Scary actually...we're programmed to think its moving even when its not!
Have you ever been to a Doctor Who filming location whilst out shopping in Cardiff? I mean has Doctor Who ever filmed anything in Cardiff city centre? I'm thinking something like in Rose when the shop dummies come alive and stuff like that?
Oh wow! That's a good question. I used to live there and I really miss it. I love the culture of creativity & individualism there - it seems really apparent where ever you go, and seems to be a big part of everyone's daily life. As a creative person I feel like I fit in with that. So, hand in hand with that, I find al the buildings/streets to be visually interesting, rather than just purely functional. I LOVE the warmer, drier weather, although I do tend to go there in the winter (November and/or February) because it's cheaper plus I don't have gigs in the UK then, but theoretically, I love that you can plan outdoors things to do in advance and not worry about wet wether contingencies all the time. I love going out without a heavy coat on! I also love the Lisbon Metro and integrated public transport system because as a non driver, I feel unrestricted and free to get about as I wish. So many other people use the public transport too, so I don't feel out on a limb as a non-driver. I would like to live there if I could, but I rather fancy over-wintering there but returning to the UK for summer, late spring and early autumn to keep connected to friends and family in the UK. Great question!! Thanks, Jason!
@@PlanetImo Wow! I didn't expect a answer like that, thanks for the reply and great answer too, how does Izzy and IB feel about Portugal?, as they are a big part of your life :D

Amazing sculptures
Looks like a lovely day in Cardiff! Love the shot of the birds flying in front of the moon :)
They timed that perfectly!!! I was delighted!
Huge lego set. That will keep you busy for a lifetime!
16:05 the lego titanic is at a cost of £555
It would do!
Wow... the different flavours of pasteis de nata at 4:55 sound amazing! 😁😋 ~ Mandy

I'm finding the No Fog wipes a bit of a life saver. I notice they have them on Amazon for half the price I paid for them in Specsavers!

Hi Imo,free from isolating.looked like a brilliant day there,a lot of work being done in the city.

Wooh! It's just a whirlwind of shopping!

Looked a nice place to shop and corr that pastie thingy looked yummy 🙂👍
It wasn't bad at all! Thanks. Are you called Noel?
@@PlanetImo lol no my names not Noel

I always go for Barry M nail varnish - it lasts for ages!
Oooh thanks for the recommendation, You'r the second person who said they liked that brand. I'll keep that in mind for next time.
Good to see the sun shining there!
Yeah - it makes a change, doesn't it? 😆It was such a joy to film when it wasn't all dingy!
I do love sketchers! I used to always have a pair
They're lightweight. My first pair I ever owned!!
Whoop whoop! Yay for the negative!
😃
There's nothing like a day out shopping when you think you're going to be having to self isolate 😀
Woohoo! What a New Year treat! Hope you enjoyed,

That was my favourite shot of the whole video! I couldn’t have set that up if I’d tried. Thank you, pigeon!
Great you got a negative and your out shopping.👍
Whoo hoo! Yes! Thanks. x
May I ask what camera you use to to film? Love your videos.
Hello! I use three different ones depending on the situation and tend to carry all three around. They are linked in the description.
I use the Canon in low light settings and all the shots I film at home are done on that.
For smooth walking shots I use the GoPro9.
And for the zooming shots I use the Sony.

Yah! For a negative test! 🤗
Yey! One bout was definitely enough! I hope your recovery is going OK.
@@PlanetImo we’re recovered with the exception of getting our stamina back 👍

I bet you got it by now but in case, eBay have lots of cases for the MacBooks.
Thanks 😊 Yes, I actually got one for my birthday. Thanks so much, Linn.
i get cranberry tablets of ebay about 7.00 for 120 tabs
One good thing about covid, you basically had Cardiff to yourself lol
There is that! Thanks so much, Kiely. x
You should be able to get your cranberry tablets at b&m or the supermarket there lots cheaper.
Oooh I've never looked for them in BnM. I've seen them in a really big Tescos before, but I don't think my one stocks them. Thanks! x
Random horse poo in the city centre! 😆
Shovel and a bag horses poo good for veg garden
True!
And there's the Burger King!
That shot was just for you, Evan, to remind you of your UK trip. People are gonna start wondering why I keep filming that Burger King!!
