When Jean my daughter born with Downs syndrome died at the age of 54, and then my wife of 64 years three years later, and in June 2019, John my eldest son aged 67, found -- and still do -- great comfort in listening to this song. We can never exhaust God's love, grace and comfort. William Stewart

My godly preacher father suffered in his last years from Huntington's Disease. As he lay on his death bed he mumbled something, and as my Mother questioned him he repeated: "His grace is sufficient!".
They were his last words. Praise God!

Praise God indeed.
The Lord does indeed work in mysterious ways. For decades I lived my life with no regard for God or my soul. Then one day I was watching television and I saw that someone named Gaither had a show coming on so I thought I would watch for a minute or two, expecting to see one of these hokey, crooked TV ministers begging for contributions.
What I saw instead was a group of faithful and talented God loving people singing songs of praise from the bottom of their hearts. This was not performing. This was beautiful prayer being lifted to the Lord. The sound of their voices, the look on their faces, the feeling that came over me as they offered hymn after hymn was heaven sent.
I know now that God in His merciful love for me told me to watch that TV show. Thanks to Bill and Gloria Gaither and the many wonderful people that have sung with them I now love the Lord like never before.
Praise the lord for your testimony

There are men and women who are truly gifted to capture the depth of our faith and the expanse of God's grace and love. We can only marvel as we sing those wonderful words. This is one of those great hymns. And when you've experienced that measureless grace, the words become even more edifying for your soul
God bless the Gaithers, i listened to there music while i was still a kid on LTV in Uganda. its now almost 20yrs past and i still love and listen to it, especially those ol'country hymns

Thank-you so much for sharing this treasure! I grew up listening to my mom sing this hymn very often in the midst of her exhaustion and overwhelm.....but I never knew there was this wonderful 3rd verse!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
