Just completed the Essex Ham course and have a FT450D arriving tomorrow, licence hopefully next week, excited to get on the air with CW! Good video for newcomers :)
@@PhantomWoIf @Revelation2.9 I've been interested in morse for years, no clue why, it's one of those things that intrigued me as a kid, it was a hyperfocus for me and I just HAD to learn it (that's the ADHD I guess) can send up to around 25wpm decently, but my ability to receive / read isn't great now, at 15 / 20 wpm I find myself falling behind because there's some letters that just confuse me, and by the time I figure it out its to late lol. But I'm most of the way there, little practice I think I'll be ok, very excited, just need a nice iambic paddle now 😁
That was a very good presentation Simon I would like to do similar or steal yours for an event next year. For Reference there is 26 questions 19 to pass in 1 hour Foundation, 46 Questions 28 to pass for intermediate and 58 Questions 35 to pass for the Full(Advanced name is depriciated) . It's all done on line now as you say and the practical sessions are recomended but not compulsory.. Its one of the many good reasons to join a local club if you can.. John M0XJA
Cheers John, feel free to use what you want. Your info is more up to date regarding the Qs, Thanks! Joining a club when you are new can be good but I dont hear of much electronic building these days which is a shame. i used to really enjoy that bit of being in a club as well as the fox hunting /M.
