@@kingalex29339 Lol. Ok. She didn't hit the note though. Anyone with functioning ears can tell. She was very close though. Don't get me wrong, I love flo, but this is a tough song range-wise. That's why she doesn't usually sing it live. That's why in the vocal lines she writes now, she doesn't use those extreme notes. because she knows she can't sing them live. And that's smart.
@@GothicWarrior94 I have been listening to Florece since 2011 and according to all the videos I have watched (live videos, acapellas, tributes, etc.) she IS (or was) capable of singing "those extreme notes". Of couse in 2021 I think she can't or she just doesn't sing in that way, but in this video from 2014 I assure you she easily could hit that note. (sorry if I made any grammar mistake, I don't speak english)
am i the only one who think that she gives her everything just to sing this song , i can feel her soul coming out of her while she sings , totally haunting
this is an incredibly difficult song to sing live. did she hit every single note? no. was the last big note flat? yes. but if you want to attack one of the best vocalists of this generation for not being able to perfectly execute what i believe is her most vocally challenging song live, you’re missing the point of talent and of live music. it’s never perfect. but florence has more talent than the majority of artists out there and i don’t think it’s fair to start condemning her for one tough song.
I cannot forget Baz Lurhmann's The Great Gatsby (2014) because of the songs in the movie. I remember how Gotye's "Heart's A Mess" which played in the movie's end credits literally chased me going out of the cinema in a mall in Bacolod. At almost midnight, not one soul was there for me to see even as I trailed my own "green light" going home. The songs that played throughout the film transported me to another time and place despite the fact that Leonardo de Caprio starred in it. The silences, the open spaces, the pauses in most of the songs allowed me to inhabit the realities portrayed there. And this piece, simply soulful, has rent my heart, and even makes me pine for something I always wish I had--but I don't know what.
Being there and hearing it live was the best moment of my life. That echo made me have goosebumps, but later on it was just annoying. Polish National Stadium isn't a place for concerts to be honest. It kind of distracted me from FATM :(
The highest note in ''Over the Love'' is F5 which is far from her highest sung note! She can hit that note , but it's a shame that the 3 live performances of this song , she is not in a good condition :/
Florence and the Machine BG Well most of her notes above E5 are produced using the head voice, which is probably why she is having a hard time. Also with her being a sort of dramatic mezzo, belting up to an F5 and even F#5 in Spectrum is already pretty good.
+Al Singson the original note is F5 but she hits a E5 in this. Still a very hard note to hit. It's so close to it that it's hard to tell if she hit it or not sometimes.
I still can't understand why some singers record songs with very high notes if they can't sing them live and change the song...why not to record it in lower register...weird
Singing live is different from singing in a studio. In a studio, singers get to prepare their voices to hit certain notes. At the end, you can see she's preparing herself. I don't understand why certain people can't respect singers,or why they think they can dictate what a singer should or shouldn't do.
+Julisa Fernandez nothing stopped her from preparing before the concert to hit these notes. I don't understand why some people can't think logically. If I can't hit some notes obviously I don't record songs with them or at least don't sing it live. Fans come to hear this particular song with these particular notes, pay their money and don't get what they wanted. This is what's called disrespect. Sounds like cheating.
Imagine singing those notes over and over, night after night. It's not that she can't hit them. Obviously if she recorded it she can but also singing over the band takes a lot more from her cords than in a recording studio. Her vocal cords are tired.
+Alexandra5109 my dear sir, when you pay to go to a concert and you get shocked that you didnt find the high note you want then complain but you are here watching her on youtube .. cant even do what she does and also you are criticizing her .. you probably have something wrong
She sounds good, but if you can't sing live the way you recorded the song in the first place, you should record it in a realistic way. We know she's a great singer, but Over the Love is an impossible song her.
She finally did it! She finally hit that high note in the end! She's goddess... :D
Not.
@@GothicWarrior94 Oh piss off and try to do better why don't you.

Pretty damn close though. Haunting either way. 🙌🏻
That echo is haunting.
The echo is so magical

Flo is a permanent reminder that heaven is real.

To the people complaining about her hitting the notes. Shut up. It's not like you can even sing nearly as good as her.

She literally poured her heart out!
She is just unbelievable! Her voice haunts me.
3:50 YAAAAAAS
best live of this song ever !!!!!!!
Honestly, I think not hitting the note 100% makes it sound more authentic to the lyrics. Crying isn't pitch perfect.
3:46 is pure fucking magic ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I don't know if she hit the note or not but I had no idea she could do anything close to that live. 3:52

I'll kill for a good quality video of this performance
3:52...

Thanks for the video ♥ Florence is our Goddess !
omg. it's perfect!
this song gets me every fucking time.
She nearly did it, but it's still the best performance of that song so far.

i have watched all available live performances of this song and she cant hit the notes in any of them. Its a shame. But the song is still amazing.
I'm pretty sure she hit that last F5.

Missing it makes it sound more haunting here imho, the way it just sorta echoes around the arena as it bends.
Den „Kameramenschen“ sollte man verhauen…..kann der seine Flossen nicht mal stillhalten???
she seems down right uncomfortable with the song
