- Today we take a look at the brand new DCS Kola map released by our friends over at Orbx. It's their first ever product for DCS and released in early access with a vast landscape to explore.
In this video, I'll show you a few bits and air my thoughts as a new DCS pilot to hopefully help you decide whether you want to purchase now, or wait until it's complete.

It is great to see Orbx creating maps for DCS. I think Kola is a great start and already looks good. I look forward to it evolving.
I Really had high hope for this map and orbx, but current state does not justify the price and 145g HD space,
Maybe later after (multiple) update.
Early access will get much better
That's fair - only about 1/4 of the region is currently "finished" though I've read more airfields are coming as well as seasons as currently only textures for Summer are included
I understand some early access modules but highly unfinished early access maps for such a high price I think is bad.
@@johnwicks4936 ive already bought it, but apparently they said as they add to it, the price will go up. Not a great business model

Nice one mate....very confused how u have such crisp graphics and I'm a running a 4090 and mine look rubbish

I got a 3090 an max every slider, reshade helps too
Bit disappointed that orbx chose to release it in the current state that the map is. It's quite bad imo. Especially for the price. Can't really call it early access tbh, at best early early early access.
I hope it improves dramatically
They're working away a lot on this 🙂 I, like you, really hope it gets improved and expanded upon quickly but it's a vast vast map and has a lot of nice potential 🙌
@@BritishAvgeek Yeah, I'm aware. Just disappointed that it was released in the state that it is. Been looking forward to this map for a long time and sad to see Eagle Dynamics drag OrbX down the drain with this whole releasing products that's faaaar from even an early access state.
