if you're going to show how to setup 2 Factor Authentication you should show both methods. Primary should be Authentication apps as phones can be changed/hacked/spoofed not ideal for best security

I think there's an option you can click to authenticate a different way if your code isn't working.
What should I do when they dont send the code via SMS?
Try it again to see if it was just a glitch in the system. Maybe reach out to Facebook support if that's not working.
