I was so hoping you recommend one of the miles brother books. Omg the groveling in the Stopover and the Takeover is everything. I love that series. I am so happy you stated Christopher book is coming out. I am so readyyyyy for that book. 💞
Hi, psychologist in training here...I just wanted to share my thoughts on the book Storm that you mentioned. Sex addiction is a term/concept that is mentioned in books, films, and other media and often thought of as an actual disorder. However, this is not backed by science. Studies have not found evidence that sex addiction shares the same neurological or behavioral traits as other forms of addiction. Sex addiction is not included in the DSM-5, which is the clinical manual used to diagnose psychological disorders. People can have compulsive sexual behaviours that can cause real harm to themselves, their career, relationships etc. However, the term sex addiction can actually lead to more sigma and shame. I love your channel Jenn, and I think it's awesome that you talk about the 'taboo' desires of book characters. In that vein, people may feel like their sexual behaviors are 'kinky' and 'wrong' and may self-diagnose themselves with sex addiction. Addiction treatment is also not typically the most effective treatment for compulsive (sexual) behaviors, so it may lead people to seek out less beneficial services and not receive the care that they need. Also the concept of sex addiction has been used by individuals who have perpetrated sexual harassment and assault as a justification/defence for their harmful behaviors. I know that this is a book channel, so I'm sorry about rambling on about this topic. I am not diagnosing anyone and I don't want anyone to feel like I am de-legitimizing their experiences. I just wanted to put this information out there in case anyone was curious. Anyways, I look forward to your next upload :)
Gotta say, grovel romances are my favorite trope (if that counts as a trope?). Never hear anyone talk about If You Deceive by the great Kresley Cole. I’d call it comparable to her IAD series grovels but with a historical setting (insert chef’s kiss). Just wanted to say that. Love your work Jenn
Jen, those colors look so pretty on you❣ My gosh, I started to tear up again as you spoke about "The Tyrant Alpha's Reject Mate." It was so gut wrenching in the beginning. You're absolutely right, the grovel was epic. I loved the epilogue, too - so good! I can't wait for the other books in the series.
You say Dramione, and my ears perk up xD Remain nameless is actually one of my favorite dramione fanfics, it just seems so realistic even though it's an agonizingly slooow buuuurn. Never thought I'd be into HP fanfic, but dramione fits into some very satisfying tropes for me, enemies to lovers, the bully, the grovel :P So thank you for enriching my romance reading ^^
Great recommendations can't wait to dive into some of the books. I loved Love Her or Lose Her. I thought it was a story that dealt well with not communicating as a couple and how difficult it was for the hero to really dig deep and understand what he was doing was not working in the relationship, and his actions were not enough. I read all 10 of the Mafia Wars and enjoyed it. Thanks, for that recommendation. Declan had a lot to make up for.
You said you didn't like cheating in books So, did you like Daisy Jones and the six ? Nobody says anything bad about that book but I couldn't stomach it
I have a recommendation Jen.. I know you have DNF that book Flock by Kate Stewart but the 3rd book of that series is full Grovel book... Please read that series.. would love to know your thoughts about it.. it's my fav series... I know first book is hard to get past but I promise you will enjoy the other two books.. they are too good.. I hope you consider..
Wait what where can I find the proposal story? I think their engagement was just mentioned in passing in either twisted games/hate (forgot which one).. right?
@@Luxmundee The Nightingale anthology featured Alex and Ava's proposal scene! Over 50 authors contributed chapters to the anthology! I believe it's still on Amazon!
Sorry I missed this it's one of my fav tropes. Hmmm never thought of women grovelling before you're right it is normally men! Would be interesting to read the other way round

The Tyrant Alpha’s Rejected Mate is chef’s kiss groveling, which was well deserved as he was so horrible at the beginning.
