the most longest awkward interview I have ever watched. love it.
"What I'll talk about is how American trailers ruin all movies" YES
“we might just put all the footage online and invite other people to make other versions of the film” my god why didnt they do this
I dunno, something about that host… I feel like he’d make a good landlord
Apparently no one in the comments knows the interviewer collaborated with them on 2 seasons of television.
Isn't the interviewer Eugene from FotC?
yes he is
I’m 3 quarters in this interview and hope that by the end someone will ask Jemaine where he got his shoes from because they’re really cool and obvioulsy no one is interested in the ACTUAL MOVIE!!!
This was... rude, like... if you have a crowd that hasn't seen the film, have some questions prepared for the host to ask. Or tell the host about the movie and the guys side projects... idk, this felt a bit disrespectful.
Will you make a musical?
Ricky Baker : 👁👄👁
the awkwardness in this is so delicious
This is a dry humour overload
Leonards on your balls "have you paid your rent yet?"
Gene, Jermaine and Korg
What i didn't expect is russian song at 1:57
I know that trailer was way too long and showed way to much.
This was a terrible interview. I couldn't even bear listening to more than 5 minutes of it, the audience had no idea what the movie was about, had not seen it, and the interviewer had no direction to take the questions to and was generally ignorant of what his job is apparently.
EvGENE MlRMAN lS A LAME STAND vP, JvST LlKE HE lS AS AN lNTERVlEWER
That was there old friend. The actual host was not there and he was just a fill in. The whole thing was put together last minute. The audience was there for free and its always free attendance. So they always are pretty much a collection of random lost people. (Tim and Eric made fun of this directly when they did their cult spoof on build)
Jesus, that's Eugene Mirman? Why?
Gene!
it was a big weird. The 'trailer comment didn't go down well. PS I agree with Jermaine.
why would you sent someone who does not understand humour to interview 2 humours men about a humourous movie?
Eugene Mirman is a comedian
Hahahahaha love Jemaine and Taika but this was a total shit show
This was rough. What was the point of interviewing somebody when the interviewer doesn’t know what his job is, has no prepared questions, asks the people he’s interviewing for questions to ask, and genuinely seems uninterested in the guests? Incredibly disrespectful.
Holyshit
What a waste of the time of the brilliant Taika Waititi and Jermaine Clement. They would have been better off without a host and just picking random questions from a jar. This is a brilliant film by the way. Stream it if you can.
Most awkward interview ever. The host was terrible
Most awkward interview ever
this guy is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO not the right person to interview these guys! who set this up? USELESSSSSSS
That was terrible! Between their distain for the lack of preparation and the hosts utter complacency to who and what he is there to interview, this was a waste of everyone's time. Not to mention the fact that NO one in the audience had seen the film.
Yeah, we get it, NZer's and Auz's dislike the US, but these are really talented film makers. Show them a little more respect.
Omg this thing gets awkward.
Worst interview ever.
Tedious. Host is using his guests to make himself look clever, rather like late night talk shows.
