I've owned mine for 7 years. I know it's older because I bought it on Craigslist. Only complaint is like everyone says it's to high off the ground. Other than that it's the most versatile bench I've owned, no way it's going to break.
The seat attachment is a genius bit of design, I live in the UK and for me this is the best designed bench I have seen, with the leg attachment you can perform proper decline bench that most benches can not, plus it has a small foot print good quality vinyl and foam even the ironmaster sigh is sown on not a transfer. Top notch as we say in England.
Great review man! It’s unfortunate that it’s so tall, it looks nicer than the rogue benches at a much more affordable price. Hopefully someday they’ll make a shorter and wider version of the bench
+Mr. Perfect Cell thank you. Yeh, I wish they would as well. I still use it for everything other than flat bench, so I'm still pretty happy with the purchase.
Mr Perfect Sorry it's not nearly as nice as the rogue 2.0 adjustable. I have the 2.0 and best bench I've used.... Better than anything in commercial gyms.
I hear you I always regret buying the default choice because 200 bucks isn't anything long term and I end up buying what I really wanted in the end ... I guess if wasnt able to get the rogue 2.0 ...I would have gotten the monster flat ...like having incline but dont use it that much...
Only complaints I have about the bench is the height (I'm 5'8) and the seat. The seat isn't comfortable at all. Otherwise I have almost all of the attachments and it's high quality. I use it in my Rogue Monster Rack.
@@Richard_FitPku My advice would be to compare the height of a bench you've been on to the height of the IM bench. There are also two versions now of the IM bench and I have the original so I'm not sure if the new one is the same but it's hard for me to place my feet flat on the ground when benching leading me to either digging my toes in or putting my feet on the bench. The seat on the original is very uncomfortable when doing incline exercises.
does this needs to be bolt down to concrete? and do I need to buy their bench too to use this lat pull down machine? I was thinking about buying the bench but has a lot of mix reviews bad and good. the biggest complain is the bench being too high for shorter people. Iam only 5'8 .
Man do you even do your research? Ironmaster has had another bench that's been out for 2 years now. Almost the same but it's shorter height standard 17 inches off the ground. You don't need the bench for the lat pull down you can purchase the standalone seat for the lat pulldown. The stand alone seat works for the hyper extension also. I know this because I have most of the ironmaster ecosystem Info is at your fingertips my dude. Ironmaster.com.
Hey Lucio, I’m glad it’s working well for you. When I bench, I like to wind my feet up tight on the floor underneath me. Because this bench is ~3” taller than a standard flat bench, it’s not quite as easy. I have two clients roughly your height whose toes touch the floor fine, but can’t get flat footed, or on the balls of their feet with this bench. That said, if it works well for you, that’s great...maybe my clients and I just have stubby legs :) Thanks for watching
All engineered things have factor of safety so when it states 600 max capacity it's actually a little bit more. They put it at 600 because they know people will pass it.
eric castellanos best not to push past 600 tho lol! There is a safety limit for a reason,. I’m sure the steel would hold up with 700lbs load but it MAY not... just picked up my own super bench + dumbbells upon the restock earlier this evening
Any other time than the present quarantine situation, and I'd agree with you 100%. Well, technically, you're still right...but I'm still happy I have a hundred years worth of gym memberships invested in equipment at the moment :)
+Bob johnson hey man, thanks for commenting. If you're choosing the bench press as an isolation exercise for developing the chest, then you're correct. If, however, you're goal is to get stronger in the bench press/stronger overall, leg drive and stability is critical. It also makes the lift safer, for maximum effort, as you're creating more tension through the body. If chest development is the concern, I'd much rather supplement growth with higher rep assistance lifts like weighted dips, or true chest isolation exercises like fly variations. Please don't take my word for it though. Look up any powerlifting guide on bench presses, and foot position will be strongly emphasized. Thanks again for your comment.
I’ve owned the same bench for 10 years. Zero complaints. Not one rip or tear. Quality product.

My pleasure. Thanks for the feeback!

Hey Marco, I'll second the "top notch" status here in the US! Thanks for the input, man!
@@ThreeStormFitness your welcome. 👍
Have you seen dvd new hybrid bench pad yet? It lower and wider on half the pad

Mr. Perfect Cell they just came out with the PRO version that is a few inches shorter 👍🏼
martyjanderson yes but one would buy the Ironmaster for the attachments. Plus, it’s $200 cheaper than Rogues bench
Grant Peeples the Pro is on sale and has the wheel kit added in for free
Just ordered one, hopefully it won't take too long to get here
Hope you like it!
U just told me what I needed to know.. to tall for me.. thank you 👍🏽
My pleasure. Glad it helped you out
Muy bueno !
Donde lo venden en 🇪🇨 Ecuador ?

Good review, nice personality :) "you're too much!"
Also, I subscribe to MASS too!! Subbed
Hey thanks Resiststance! Hope you like MASS! Still probably my favorite premium service that I subscribe to for exercise info
so it passed the Toe Breakage test! I'm buying one
Haha! Yeh, I don't trust any equipment that doesn't cripple my inlaws

I’m 5,8 too mate. Whats bad about it height wise? Im considering getting it

Also I have their calf block and it works for my wife that’s 5 feet tall 💪🏼
Oh nice! Great tip. Thank you!
Nice video
Thanks!
I’m only 182 cm and I have no problem with my legs. I’m confused

*Clears throat* "Why thank you" *winks*
Convinced me at “broke toe on it”
rmccorma I’m sold. Can it break my father in laws toe too?
The ole toe breakin' test
I can't help but "heart" any toe breaking comment
if you're benching 400 on incline and you weigh 240, that's over 600lbs so i guess it does pass the test after all!

Leg drive is overrated, especially if you are more into physic building.
Cheaper to go the gym

your not supposed to use your legs for chest presses, it takes the emphasis off the chest muscles

Bob johnson you can probably put blocks in the floor to stabilize your feet.
