I have only been canning for 8 months. With your help and advice, I am off to a great start. You introduced me to the jar boxes. All my stuff is in jar boxes. And now you've introduced me to the inventory. Now I'm inventoried. Thank you.
We're not sick of canning videos! I love them. They always are inspiration to get canning!
Never sick of canning and love the organization
Linda, you have taught me so much. For example I started canning 3 years ago and watched and learned to can meat, dried beans, soups, etc. Not having anyone in my family that canned you were a great help. Needless to say, keep making canning videos. Thanks 😊
can never be sick of canning
Great video! Please keep the canning, dehydrating and your canned product recipes coming. Many years ago, when my children were small, I used to do a lot of canning and somehow I put it on the back burner, even went so far as to give my jars away. Now I am back to the hobby and having to re-learn all the new research information. You are a good teacher who uses reliable information. I absolutely cringe when I see wrong methods and information being passed along to us, and especially, new canners. How to turn them away from the hobby with a failure or two in one or two easy careless lessons. Your attention to detail, using the right tools and cleanliness, and your humor even when things go wrong, is most appreciated! I always feel you are talking with us not down to us.
YES more canning videos. I'm a newbie and learning so much from you. Thank you so much for sharing.
+Cris Haskins I will certainly keep them coming but know that I have a playlist of about 75 canning videos that might help with your journey to become a canner
Iknow I know love love love them. Thank you for all the hard work you do.
I love the canning videos and this organizing one just gave me a swift kick in the pants to better organized in my pantry and get it ready for my summer harvests. Please keep making them, I am learning a lot. Thanks
As a young ish person I love watching your videos even my 5yr old does I really want to start canning but don't really know where lol thanks for all the inspiration
Not EVER sick of canning vids! I learn something new every, single time! Same here, never enough green beans, either lol! TFS! Learned a lot, again lol! (HUUGS) ^ _ ^
I never get sick of canning....more videos!! :-)
Yes keep these videos coming and no we're not tired of canning!!! thanks for all you do!
Love the video! No not getting sick of canning videos. Keep them coming. They inspire us.
After 50 years did my first canning session. Wish I had picked it back up sooner. I'M 69 years old it's never too late to start. Looking forward to all the fresh produce and fruits of California.
Great video Linda!! More great ideas! And...I'll never get tired of seeing your canning videos!!!
I don't get tired of the caning and will one day be inspired enough to try my hand at it. I also enjoy (would like to see more) the tidbits about your organization philosophies and general operating procedures around the home. Thanks for the great content.
thank you! I've been struggling with a clipboard and hash marks. Hasn't been working. I like the idea of a 3 yr limit for everything. Saves trying to remember all the recommendations. I have an empty note book and divider so I'll do some clicking and printing and start my inventory tonight. Thanks Linda! Oh, and 2 thumbs up!
Hi Linda. Thank you for sharing your organization notebook. I enjoy your canning videos, they inspire me! I LOVED seeing your pantry/canning room!!!!
Watching these odies again. Never gets old. 😄
Great video Linda. I've been canning for 50 years. Still learning new things. I just found your channel. I love it.
I love these videos... they make me think I can get organized... one day. :)
Love your idea's and canning videos. Please keep them coming. Your channel is my go to for canning and cooking. Thanks for all the hard work.
Farmer Mee Maw channel referred me to you and I am so glad she did. You are a jewel. Yes, I loved this video as well as all the others I have watched. I have learned so much and I am gonna watch all of yours from the beginning. Keep 'em coming. I really appreciate your hardwork
Never get tired of watching canning/inventory/organizing videos. I just started canning last week and I watched your tutorials because I did it in an older All American canner. I canned 7 quarts of pinto beans & they all sealed! THANKS & I WILL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW YOU 👍💝
That's awesome thank you so much for stopping by and following me I appreciate it
I am just starting my "extended pantry" journey. Thank you so much for this great information.... If I start this now and this is a perfect chance to do it right from the start. Thanks!
I really enjoy these videos. I am always inspired by things you do. Thanks for being a great teacher.
I'm starting to work on my pantry as we recently bought a house so this video is really inspirational on getting it build and filled! Thanks!
Hi, I'm fairly new to your wonderful channel and I'm hooked. Do you have a cookbook? If not, you should! A show on the Food Network would be appreciated as well! I've been canning for 30+ years, off and on, and you have restored my love of canning! Thank you Linda!
That's so great, yes I like seeing all your videos!
I'm going to make myself a spreadsheet to keep records of my supplies and jar inventory. I love making spreadsheets. I like color coding too.
Wow! As I've been saying...you are amazing... This system is incredible, Linda.
Linda thank you so much! I have a small home and use the containers for all my canning. Trying to keep track of what is used or what is left can be a pain in the tush! I will be going out tomorrow for a binder. THANK YOU!
May I suggest that you put a number on the plastic containers and transfer that number to your list behind the item so you can locate the item when the plastic container is mixed. Enjoy all your videos.
Great idea!
Just loved this video. Just what we need to do here. I've found the exact form you've printed so we're all set and ready to start our inventory. Thanks again Linda. Oh, congrats on the 80k. We deserved. Love Jay & Helen.
Nope, not getting tired of your canning videos at all. You give great information. Have you ever canned chicken rice soup? would you recommend doing it?
YES keep the canning videos coming. You've inspired so many to start canning again, as a child we helped our mom and aunts can and freeze and make tons of homemade tamales. I talk about my canning and homemade wine making at work a lot and so many of them have started doing it just because I talk about it, and it's so much fun at the end of a session to see all of these pretty jars of food that you spent your time and effort to preserve.... and nothing more exciting than to hear that PING!!!
I don’t can anymore but i love watching you. You do a great job
I wish i could buy anything you make.You. Are amazing person
I've been subscribed to both your channels
for a while now. Love you both!
No Linda we don't get tired of your canning because each time I watch it I see something I didn't see before also it is good to rewatch the videos because of people like myself like not using chicken this time using beef .
Linda love the videos. Don't stop canning please, novice canner here and you make sense when you can. Also, have you ever thought of putting all your yummy recipes in a cookbook we could purchase??
Loved it! Would love to see the entire food room system you have. I too have a food room. Let's can!
Linda I absolutely love your canning videos please keep them coming be safe
I downloaded my inventory sheets and working on it. Thank you for the tips!
Wonderful organization tips! I'm still using the boxes my jars came in. Love the inventory sheets. I really need to print me some. All my cases are stacked on top of each other and its a pain digging through them for what I need. Thanks again Linda!
Here's my thought on inventory...I painted the top of my freezer with chalkboard paint and I write what goes in and how many, then when I remove, I erase the tick mark. So, I would put up a whiteboard, perhaps, to keep track, with tick marks of how many or just the number. Or maybe those overhead projector sheets - plastic, with your pretty printed sheets underneath and use erasable pens. My thinking is that some of the lines will be changed faster than others and then you'll end up with multiple pages...I'm explaining this quite badly. I love, love, love inventory.....it appeals to my Virgo heart, but I usually find that I end up writing & re-writing and re-writing. Erasable makes me happy. Anyway, a suggestion for you from someone who gets quite excited about organizing and inventory. :)
wow never would of thought of doing that. Thank you
Love, love, love this video! I would love to see more!!
What a great idea. Love it.
love the canning videos - def. not tired of them :)
I have a binder but it's quite a mess. I don't have a printer so all my favorite recipes are hand written. My canning shelves are anything but organized and I need more shelves put in. I have my canning all over I. Every cool dark spot on the house. I love 2leelou she comes up with the best ideas. Can't wait to see more canning videos. Happy Canning.
All my recipes are going to be hand written too. Happy canning :)
Great info on how to keep things organized! I love to use the containers especially when I have to transport some of my home canned goods. It really keeps the jars safe in the car. I also just love my binder because it keeps my pantry really organized (thanks for the mention). I find it especially helpful for the food I have in my chest freezer. I don't forget about anything in there that way. I'm going to add a "Need to Can" section....that's a great idea! Thanks for sharing yours.
A couple thoughts.
1. Number each canning case and make a chalk or dry erase map of each box so that you know where to find things. Ex. Cream of chicken in box 3 and when you remove it, erase on the map so you know where you have an empty space in box 3. With this you could create initials for each thing you can. Ex. Cream of chicken could be COC or COM for cream of mushroom.
2. On your inventory, I likes how you did different sheets for meats/beans, veggies, and fruits, but you could also write things in alphabetical order so it's easier to find when crossing off.
Yes! I was just about to search your videos or ask for a tour of your pantry! Thank you!
You are an awesome teacher! Ever time I watch your videos I learn neat things :) Thank You
Linda, you are such a inspiration to all of us! Keep up the wonderful videos!
My husband and I are considering starting canning and these videos are full of ideas. We have been freezing porion sized meat and meals but the concern has been if we lose electricity. We are still in the research stage at this point though.
I love this idea. I am going to do it. Your canning room is great as well. Very informative video. Thank you so much!
Like them very much, many thanks!
Omg, I would so buy one of those binders...I want to start canning and that would so help with organization. I would add a section for myself of basic tips and stuff for canning for quick reference. Great video!
I like these kinda videos :) and I have metal shelves in the pantry as well
I love your videos and all the ideas you share. Can I ask....the next time you do chicken on the bone....can you show your method next time you can this? I just never seen that done and would love to see the process. I would definitely like to do this also.
I love your pantry mine is only small but then again there is only the two of us but watching your video has made me think I should keep an inventory because I seem to have a lot of rice and pasta (always buy some when I go shopping) but not much flour etc. Loved the video it got me thinking and wanting to do some more canning. Liz
Am I sick of canning? Linda...I subscribe because of your pantry. love ur pantry and all that that applies. 😀
I love these type videos because I'm learning from you and other you tubers. I will be buying my first canner/presser cooker this summer and start canning. I also love the cooking videos. Thanks so much for sharing!
P.S. I put these videos in my "liked- canning" video playlist for not only me but my subbers to see.
Thank you Linda! I'm inspired to get organized.
10,000 thumbs up!
when you described the chicken for chicken and dumplings I said to myself I have to start canning ,
I love your video's, especially the canning ones. Keep them coming. I also wonder how much canned food would one person need for a year. Like would one quart a day be to much or reasonable. I really don't know. I am new to all this so I can't wait to have a nice pantry full of food. Thanks for sharing. Janice
Great idea and yes we love more canning videos
love it !!! I have been sick and I am way behind on my pantry
How about adding a number to each box as well and having a separate section that goes by box and then if you are looking for something specific you can check then just go find box #4 or whatever? Just a thought. But I love your videos. Keep them up!
I like that idea :)
I love watching you!!! Made me jealous lol. I love to can, but its also intimidating to me. Watching you and some other people make me want to just dive right in!!! Thank you
Love all canning videos.
Great video. I think this binder thing is a wonderful idea! I will have to do this also. I never get tired of seeing your canning videos, so, keep them coming! Even if you have canned the same thing before but add something different to it this time...I want to see it. It gives me new ideas. Thank you for sharing!
When I am storing full jars, I just use one half of the jarbox. they will still stack if you just use the "bottom" of the jarbox and you can see what is in the jars. You really don't want to stack them very high when you do it that way. I just found your videos so I am having a marithon watching them. :)
Linda, this is a fabulous idea. I wanted to create a system. This is a great system for inventory. I love it. thank you so much for the tip!!!!
:)
🎼🎼Awesome🎼🎼, that's me singing it. Lol.... I'm so following your lead. Will do the same with my vacuum-dehydrated inventory. Thanks bunches Big Fan 👏🏻👏🏻
Good video Linda ! I have been on the fence about buying those plastic cases ! You got me sold on them!
I hope you will go thru the link I placed below for you it really helps us out :)

I have been thinking about doing an inventory in order to schedule what I need to can next. This was VERY helpful!

Aww Linda you are such a lovely woman! I really love your video's... being from belgium its really hard to find canning materials. .but i am going to try and find everything and your video's are so inspiring... thank you sweety... big thumbs up 👍👍👍😘😘😘
Yes you have inspired me to get accomplished.
This is genius - One of my favorite uploads of yours (not to discredit the rest, they’re all great) ... when it comes to storage, it’s important to remain organized (essential w/ an inventory, if you’re a frequent canner)
The cardboard boxes, they’re great for separating jars (sizes) ... but the cardboard makes me a bit nervous - grain worms, particularly ... they LOVE cardboard ... err, which is why I don’t typically buy pastas, cereals, and many other items in bulk (plus, we’re a family of 3, not logical for us)
Back to cardboard, and those pesky grain worms ... we had them once (ONCE) .., it was about 20 years ago .... was SUCH a nightmare, I swore I’d NEVER become a victim of that again (ev’ar) ... side note: they’re most often imported (within the packaging) from the grocery store, and/or manufacturers that process/sell to the local grocer
Last ... your binder/ledger = fabulous idea to keep record of what you have, and what you need to replenish - I need to start doing this!
Sorry for the novel - I’m long winded [guilty]
I love the canning videos :)
I love this one! Can you do more on this? The recipes that you have in a cookbook, etc.
next time you do chicken and dumplings I would love to see a video! yum!
yes please keep the videos coming. I didn't know that you could can bone's that's neat. I love the idea of the binder and keeping up on whats in the jars. for those who can I think it would a great giveaway. this video was great because it was helpful and gave a heads up. thank you
oh I forgot by using these containers does it help when you store them in a closet without central air/heat?
I love your canning videos!!! I really don't know where to store my canning jars, our basement is soooo dirty/cobwebs!!! Old farmhouse basement!!! Blessings, cinny😍
LOVE IT
I love this idea! Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Great idea Linda, I'm going to do this 👍😀
I so love your pantry 😍..for meats I would give them each their own sheets so you could continue to add each year to same sheet...I will definitely try that type inventory..thankyou so much..we have tried to eat canned food from pantry..yes on more videos👍be safe & blessed✝️🙏
Great video Linda! I used to have the 3 year rule also, but I have researched that canning can last longer. I have used things over the 3 year limit. You have a very good system set up! Hope your garden does great.
there are some things that last a lot longer but I see it starting to deteriorate after 3 years so I try to keep that rotation going and keep using everything I put it back thanks for stopping by I'm sure your pantries way organized I wish you would do some canning videos
Awesome video! Thanks! Got some good ideas!
