delia ruhe I certainly agree with your astute observation. I’m a Vietnam veteran having served as a medical corpsman. Though I was a non-combatant having served at a base hospital, given my experiences I know I was a fool on a fool’s errand. And you identified why my country continues to wage these unnecessary and tragic wars, namely, my fellow citizens are in deep denial about the painful lesson we should have learned from our humiliating defeat in Vietnam. As the late Gore Vidal observed long ago, he lives in the United States of Amnesia.
Because there are millions who dont care, while the millions who keep it together for all of us, just dont have time for things like gameplay vids. U kno?

In the first place why do you have to be in West Asia, East Asia and Africa? Just let the countries do their own thing. If they want to fight, let them fight on their own. By taking sides, everybody joins in and you get a permanent chaos as it is now.
He calls it 'restoring 'balance'. I'd call it 'restoring our commercial/economic interests'. How come he never talks about OPEC or the petro-dollar? That's a big omission for someone that's supposed to have such a vast knowledge on US-Middle eastern economic policy.

The U.S. Was the most productive nation on earth after ww2 because the Cabral bankers managed to get government's to come off the gold standardised money system (because of their huge war debts) and into a fractional reserve, debt-based currency system. This allowed the U.S. (or more specifically, the privately owned Federal Reserve) to print as much money as they wanted, and loan it to our governments AT INTEREST. This fraudulent economic policy only survived this long because it was/is propped-up with the creation of OPEC and the petro-dollar system. This is one of the main reasons why we have had all the wars in the Middle East since the 90's against any government/country that refuses to sell its oil in dollars (the core principle of the petro-dollar system).
+TheWarrior1986 You wrote "managed to get government's to come off the gold standardised money system (because of their huge war debts) and into a fractional reserve, debt-based currency system." This is not accurate. Fractional reserve banking only applies to a currency on a gold standard, because it uses a fixed rate of exchange: X amount of dollars for one ounce of gold. Fiat currency uses a floating exchange rate. Can go up and down against other currencies depending on what the foreign exchange offers.
+TheWarrior1986, You wrote, "the U.S. (or more specifically, the privately owned Federal Reserve) to print as much money as they wanted, and loan it to our governments AT INTEREST" This is also inaccurate. The Federal Reserve is not--repeat NOT--a private organization. G. Edward Griffin is wrong. The Fed does not print USD. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing does, which is a branch of the US Treasury. And banks that need them must put up 100% collateral to obtain them, which it does by making its requests for USD to the "Federal Reserve Agent" at the district Federal Reserve it belongs to, and it must, by law, confirm its collateral at the end of every business day to the "Federal Reserve Agent." Again, this is statutory law. This is spelled out in 12 USC 412. Originally, the 1913 act authorizing these notes limited the amount that could be issued as a percentage of the gold held by the different Federal Reserve Banks. In 1932, the collateral used for issuance was expanded to include United States securities (created by the US Treasury). Overtime, the range of things that can used as collateral has expanded.
You are a wholistic education on the history of foreign affairs. You pull it together for the common man, who, like you are trying to wake up, needs to wake up!
I wonder what would happen if we create a department of peace and allocate part of the military budget to finding science based solutions to human problems around the globe through the UN, an organization the US set up for world peace....The big five cooperating through the UN in developing their own people, the undeveloped parts of the planet with cooperation of the local people. How much are we going to spend on killing, destruction and wars? Is there any end to the craving to dominate the planet which benefits only the corporate masters, taking money away from the majority of us without healthcare, no jobs or horrible jobs, long hrs., low pay, etc. just to have a river of money available for wars.
Hmmm........... at 10:00 he says, "We are imperial, and we are in decline." And I can't help but think that just maybe that's a good thing,.........maybe because I'm not an 'imperial' kind of guy........ and it seems disgusting and obscene to have hundreds of military bases throughout the world. Think of the fuel required to keep our entire military moving...... no, I can't begin to imagine the fuel and supplies that are required...... to what end? Actually, our leaders don't impress me anymore...... so very short-sighted, so very conceited. Yes, I know the numbers, I love numbers....... I'm now 81 years old, and I gave my pennies every week at school to buy War Bonds....... and I remember April 1945, we had 'won' the war. So tell me humans aren't just plain stupid. We 'elect' dictators to take us to war, over and over again....... for what? Is there no peaceful way for humans to live together? Or is it simply because whatever 'created' this universe of animals created us such that we must eat one another just to stay alive? Better that I eat you than you eat me? I'm going to my grave with memories of My Lai and Agent Orange, of the Killing Fields of Cambodia. Every day the newspapers announcing the killing. Yes, we are imperial...... but at what cost? Is there no way to have peace, without all the killing?
There's nothing quite as appealing as an intelligent man who learns from his mistakes -- and the mistakes of a country in deep denial.

There are many things more appealing, you're just ignoring them to make an inaccurate statement that makes you feel smart ironically.
@hypokrit07 you dumb a*s has no clue about economics
@hypokrit07 he has no clue about many things. appalling people like these run US policy :(
This is a very underrated video. It should be watched more than it has so far. Great insight from a very intelligent and experienced man.
Years later and you can hear his insights on Ukraine, the dollar, Assad in Syria come true
Great hero who also takes up our environmental challenges, thumbs up for Lawrence Wilkerson, incredibly good speech!
This man is brilliant and spot on!!!!!
@Ace Deccani Colon Powell was a pawn, but lied anyway.
The more I see of him the more I despise him. He has many skeletons I’m sure.
why does this have 708 views when all video games videos have at least a million views, wtf !
Because there are millions who dont care, while the millions who keep it together for all of us, just dont have time for things like gameplay vids. U kno?

Good job! The reneging in The HUGE promise not to move one inch to the east! I'd love to see him sit down and talk with Dr. Chomsky.
@Az Abaz: Wilkerson is one hell of a critic on US foreign policy!!
you will agree with a lot of what he says, I believe.
This man should be in charge of national security.
You are a "good" man Mr. Wilkerson!
This is an interesting talk.
He is right o the increase of storms. In the North Atlantic the number of extreme storms over the last 10 years increased significantly.
Wow, this was great!

Interesting his comments regarding how to control terrorism, and this was 6 years ago.
You should change the title of the video to Col.Wilkerson or something, that way you will get appropriate amount of views.

No. We have a credit-based system.

you fight to win it or just don’t do it!
I do not think the US won the 2nd WW. It was Russia :)
But the USSR literally collapsed?
maybe both sides did
