Even if you file all the paperwork properly the I-130 process takes for ever to get approved it's 17 months for me to wait and my wife lives in Thailand I can't understand why she can't come to America to visit me .
I HAVE A I-693 THAT THE DATE ON IT IS 2022, SUBMITTED IT TO USCIS ON 2023 DURING MY GREEN CARD PROCESSING, TWO WEEKS AGO USCIS SENT A LETTER INVITING ME AND MY WIFE FOR A GREEN CARD INTERVIEW, DO I NEED TO GET ANOTHER I- 693 AND BRING FOR THE INTERVIEW ?
Yes you will almost certainly need a new medical exam. "Effective April 4, 2024, any Form I-693 that was properly completed and signed by a civil surgeon on or after Nov. 1, 2023, does not expire." See the top of the page here: www.uscis.gov/i-693
My wife is American & i am Canadian. We've been married 3 yrs & are 16 months into our I 130 petition. We are currently "Actively being reviewed". Is it worth it to get a lawyer at this point? Feels like we are currently at a standstill. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!
I(we) own our home together. I just entered the US legally through Buffalo NY & am now in Florida visiting for the max time allowed. Of course I would love to stay. If I-130 doesn't get approved while I'm here, of course I'll have to go back & follow the rules. If I can stay that would be great!
