@@EVMotoring mostly pretty smooth. Met a slow charging issue on the way back and I have to shift my stop a little bit more. Other than that it was great. Took 2 dogs with me, so stopping every 2 hours is actually pretty good, both letting out the dog and let me stretch, and I don't feel that tired with all the driver assist after all. I'd probably have to sleep in one more day if driving my old ICE car and a lot more tired because it doesn't have all these driver assist. Although the ICE car (both my hybrid and truck can go 600+ miles on a full tank) can go further without stopping, the dogs and I would still need to stop a few times on the road. Also the AWD is awesome, never lack any power on the freeway speed. Totally different performance from the RWD after 60mph.
I've been doing 700 mile weekends the last few months driving from my place in Maryland to State College, PA now that my son goes to Penn State. I have one EA stop at the mid point that we always stop at, use rest rooms, eat, get drinks, etc.. 20 minutes is the norm and then we roll. It's so easy in the ID.4.
Why on Earth can't Electrify America fix its damn chargers?? I recently pulled up to 3 different chargers here in AZ and 9/10 units were either broken or just pulled 32-37 KWh!!! Ridiculous.
Nice video. The ID.4 fell off my radar due to the early models having so-so infotainment software. I'm curious, what version of software does your car have? Your video pulled this car back into my top 5 next cars.
No updates for me yet. The software issues seemed to be a car to car kind of issue. Mine would only seem a little sluggish immediately after starting the car if I tried to do too much before letting the car properly boot up
Curious why you pack water especially in a first world/developed country like the US is it due to contaminated water supplies on the journey? Plus mean less single use plastic as you'd use reusable water bottles. Interesting charging stops but usual EA and other unreliable chargers.
I'm still learning about the different types of chargers, so forgive my dumb question. When you charged at the charge point station, was that level 2 or a DC fast charger?
This whole video is about, range anxiety, worrying if you're going to make to the next charger, will there be another working charger, what a pain in the ass.
@@EVMotoring I ordered one in the beginning of the year. Then backed out when I realized people weren't getting any ota updates. As promised. Seems silly but it's not lol. What are your thoughts on the fisker ocean ?
Nice to see another road trip vid from you two, love watching them!
Took awhile but I made it to your channel. Thank you for excellent customer service and good conversions. Very informative
Thanks, great video to watch waiting for my ID4 to arrive
I just love your UA-cam Videos. Great work… thanks!
I did 1500 miles in 2 days, round trip to and from Key West in our ID.4.
How was it?!

“Not in the mood for Culver’s”… a nearly blasphemous statement from the nice midwesterners 😁. Thanks for another great video.
Enjoyed the video Thanks 👍
Wait a min! 1:22 Howard Plaza that's Northbrook, IL!
A tip is to turn off the charging planner when you are not going with its suggestions. That makes it easier then
Was in Omaha last week. Will be in Chicago after next week
Good video as always. For some reason i thought you were selling the ID4. Anyway looking forward to your upcoming videos.
It is sold and a new EV is coming soon! I have some trips film and not uploaded to do first!

Such a great highway cruiser!
Whenever I have an issue with a charger station I'll call the number.🙏🏾
I thought you were selling the VW ID 4 or maybe I misunderstood you or a change in plans? Nice video.

In my opinion it's probably the best deal used right now coming at 30k ish with 250-/+ range
I know what it is... I know what it is!!! Not going to spoil the reveal, though! (Psst... is it a converted 1959 Caddy with tail fins? LOL!!!) 😇😂🤣😉😎
El Dorado for sure!

Yes unfortunately not everywhere has clean water and some charging stops, especially at night, are closed so I wouldn’t be able to get water either.
I'm still learning about the different types of chargers, so forgive my dumb question. When you charged at the charge point station, was that level 2 or a DC fast charger?
That was DC just a slower version than VW can normally accept
@@EVMotoring thank you for the quick response. Very helpful video.

Did you get an update yet ?
I don’t think current owners received it yet. I gave up and sold the ID and am getting a new EV this weekend!

@@nuevogenisis The new ID.4's are coming with version 3.0 already installed.
@@nuevogenisis I don’t know much about the Fisker but I know it’s being built by Magna so it should be well built
EV~ Good morning. like it~great ~ 😈
2% battery power left is too close for me!!!
It’s the only time I truly feel alive!
Hybrids make much more sense.
I thought you sold this? When is the new car reveal?
Old footage. Picking up my new car this weekend!
