Favorite of all time?!
That faux cement wall is incredible.
How to convince my husband that this would be a cool project.
Yeah! Didnt know you can create faux cement wall!?
@@cre8ivoutlet
No its beautiful
This faux comment is incredible.
I was skeptic about the faux cement wall at first, but I think it’s my favorite in the whole makeover. Great depths of color and texture but not over done. I love it!!!
RosieLadyKnits same 😅
Thank you!!
8:35 I got especially curious about how the wall would turn out when Monica said she's never done faux cement! 😃 In the end, it was all worth the suspense. The transformation is absolutely amazing!
I wonder....once the wall is completely dry, should it be sealed or something? Otherwise it could release dust or absorb oils from the skin when touched, leaving discoloration.
I love that you don’t cut out the things that don’t exactly work out the way they were originally planned to! loved this episode! Great job Monica and team! x
Thanks Nicole! :)
@@EastCoastCreative Is there going to be a season 5? I really love this show, you taught me a lot. Or did you consider starting your own, independent of Lowe's?
You love that they don’t take the time to do it right? Explains why I find what I do when looking at properties and finding the “homeowner special”
I died when they pulled out those little sanders 😂
I know. I was like what the actual f*ck 🤣🤣🤣 never heard of hiring the proper tool for the proper job 🤔😜
😂😂
Max G I died too for a moment, but I did fortunately resuscitate when she stopped everyone from doing the sanding, that was crazy 😰
@@pamcoulter6341 I had to laugh at that one myself. Not sure how that even happened (I mean, you work for Lowe's), but it did add a sense of what actual weekend worriers go through.
I know right? Like just get a fkn belt sander 😂
OMG love that faux cement wall!!! love how simple the design turned out... wish I can be more simplistic.
What a fun transformation. The lack of a board in the middle of the ceiling thought drives me crazy. It ruins the effect.
I agree, this episode of the Weekender was one of the best! That faux cement wall..WOW!!!!!!
I don't have a problem with the wood floor being painted but I think that floor looks really bad with all the gaps and uneven boards. Other than the floor the room is gorgeous especially the fake concrete wall
It's definitely a more industrial/rustic look, almost farm-house, but very complemented by the finishes in the rest of the room which remind me of Nordic or Scandinavian design. It's minimalist but great textures and cozy.
I think that messyness is what gives it it's charm!
nordic farmhouse style
Lynndie Davis I agree I could just see them walking over the floor with bare feet they’re going to stop and cut their feet up
Same
I'm all for re-purposing first, like you did with the floor. Also- all your changes were wonderful, and doing it on a very low budget for these makeovers is truly inspirational!
OMG!!! That accent wall is EVERYTHING!!!! Tinted joint compound, who knew?!
This woman’s creativity, her confidence going forward with her ideas is a great reflection of her confidence in her skills and knowledge. And her innovative ability, her taste is super unique.
Wall and ceiling is amazing! Like the desk too that's a bit like a shelf as well!!!! Just a pet peeve....query persay...why didnt u put a board in the middle of the ceiling and drill a hole for the lighting? The gap to me is an eyesore. Its otherwise...beautifully styled and perfectly staged.
I think because the light is off-center. If it was right on a beam I think they would have.
It would have been better if all the beams were that distance apart...the rest are too close, IMO. Then there wouldn't be that weird gap.It just draws your eye upwards and is distracting.
I thought I was the only person who felt that way lol
Makes me want to poke my own eyeballs out!! Uuuuugh!
Yeah. I agree that the symmetry of the ceiling has been completely lost. Thus, creating an unattractive ceiling. But I did like the other ideas designed in the room to give it a minimalist feel.
monica worked her magic once again! what an innovative idea to use joint compound for faux concrete! i love the painted floors - they will have to be replaced anyway. wish i would have done that to my floors instead of installing laminate over them because i love the rustic character of them. closet organizers are the bomb! they double the storage in any closet. can't wait for the next weekender episode!
Great transformation. But the gap at the ceiling is very frustrating to the eye!
I have a friend who has OCD that would say that too! But I love it!
Mmm...So sorry but I think the ceiling with the gap was a huge miss. I also wonder if the owners replaced the carpet.
This was a lovely design but the thought of how many toes will be stubbed and socks ripped open on that jagged floor is almost cringe worthy.
A floor patch might be in order in the one spot where the wood planks were missing and there is only what appears to be subfloor underneath. But that may have been outside the scope of work willing to be undertaken in one weekend. That can be done by the homeowners themselves, or perhaps a small chair can be placed over that area, or a small but cushy rug with a collection of baskets on it. There are ways to disguise the area if the owners don't want to do a plank patch. A separate weekend project might be to do the traditional method for filling in gaps between shrunken floor boards -- adding oiled jute in the gaps/seams and painting over the whole.
A gray plank laminate floor would have been a faster and much better choice.
The tinted drywall compound wall was genius! Love love loved it!
Would have to be sanded away if ever they changed their minds about that look... For Sure... But I Like It
Love it,
I was skeptical about this cement wall and low profile beam on the ceiling but wow! this is amazing how everything together turned out!
The vibe is serene and fresh and very current.
I’m a new minimalist wanna be too!
Good job!
I’m not a huge fan of the space in the planks where the light is, but I understand why it’s like that but I do love the plank idea.
Also not a huge fan of the wood floors being painted lol but that’s a given.
I absolutely love the faux concrete wall. It came out awesome.
Callahan Villanueva I wonder if she could have drilled a hole throu a plank for the light...to make it cohesive.
She Can Do It! , believe it or not that’s exactly what I was thinking. But idk why she wouldn’t have.
Maybe the light is off center of the wood
This was absolutely gorgeous. I LOVE the beams and the faux concrete accent wall. The texture in the room in amazing
I absolutely love this. It looks so clean and inviting. She created exactly what they wanted. I’m very picky and I would trust her to makeover my home!
Needless to say, the master-bedroom now exudes style without sacrificing comfort. Having said that, the cement wall is my favorite, great job Monica... Abrazos y OLE~
Absolutely LOVE the concrete wall!
my favourite design from the weekender to date.
Thanks so much Parez!!
That's gorgeous! Good job Monica and team! I think I'll steal that ceiling beam idea!
THIS IS SUPER AMAZING AND WHAT BLEW MY MIND WAS HOW THE WALL AND THE FLOOR TURNED OUT. I LOVE IT. GREAT JOB.
3:08 slow motion
beautiful and serene
Absolutely Amazing! I would have never imagined the end result. Definitely one of my faves so far of yours. GREAT JOB!
The faux cement wall and ceiling are amazing!! 😍 My favorite, too!
FINALLY!!! I've been waiting on that faux cement wall all season from that 1sec teaser of this room in the opening trailer!! Looks amazing!
I love it !! I have one more room to do in our home and you have given me some ideas I had not thought of....the CONCRETE WALL! Loving it! I have done mostly shiplap throughout our huge house and galvanized roofing... but the “Concrete” gives me a whole new path to walk down! Thank You... Thank YOU!
OMG I LOVE this transformation. I love all of these projects but I do agree this might be one of my favorite ones!
I love the floor, ceiling and cement wall!! They all add amazing texture to the room. I like how the floors turned out because they are so rustic! Much, much better than carpet!
As always amazing change in just one weekend .... you are a good source for inspiration , thanks !
I love the fact that the home owners are so cooperative. Otherwise sometimes they're so choosy. If something didn't work out, they quickly changed the plan. I like their adjustable nature. It must be so good working with them.
I love the “concrete” wall! I know just where I can use that in my home! Great idea! Thanks again for more inspiration, Monica! Great job!
Ok, but that middle slat that is missing on the ceiling is very unsatisfying.
Agreed
@@lynnealuebben1967 ... yes I thought the same but the light is right there I just didn't like white floors. maybe just a little more green to give more color to so much white.
Agreed
Jarring. Pretty much as jarring as that floor. Simple solution would have been to bring the big sander or new carpet.
@@patfondren6013 Yes Carpet. Easy quick hides flawless.
This is my favourite design too, it looks amazing
Love the Wall and calming colors plus the wood tones...Monica hits it again!!!!
Love that concrete wall. My favorite too on a small budget. Nicely done Monica !!!
I love this makeover! That concrete wall is one of my favorite additions. AND, I even recognize the rug in the bedroom --because I own the royal blue version of it :)
Love the faux cement wall! Cant wait for the next episode! I super love the weekender!!!
EVERYTHING you design I absolutely LOVE. I am always suprised how your guests seem reluctant at the start .... gotta trust the process from the start. 💖
An amazing transformation -- love, love, love all of the ideas that brought this room together. Really enjoy your videos and decorating ideas that transforms a room in such a short time. Really like the outcome of your projects.
So happy for her, it’s always nice to see something beautiful done for a giver.
This is really cool! I was questioning it at first, but in the end it looks AWESOME!
I love the old look to the floor. We did 3 rooms this a few years ago and they still look great. Beautiful job!
A great master-bedroom transformation. Love the ceiling love the wall. Love this show. Love it! Great team monica and jason. God bless.
Love Love Love 💗
They hit the nail with adding a textured accent wall to the master bedroom! This is such a great idea! Those ceiling beams add even more depth to the room! I was a bit worried about the idea of how to finish the wood flooring but, Wow! It totally works with the theme of this room. All the choices for the finishing textiles bring it all together! So, I am thinking I might steal some of these ideas... Thanks guys! 😉

I think this might be my favorite too! Obsessed with that concrete wall. Would love to see more of how you come up with design plans
I was blown away by the wall. My initial response when you described what you were going to do was “Oh no! That’s going to look terrible “. I love it. Great job. Come do my bedroom please.
The concrete wall is everything 🙌
Cement wall is GORGEOUS! Love the standing desk too. The floor idea was helpful to know...I may try that myself! Great job!
Another great transformation, fun to watch! Thanks, Monica
Very impactful and functional and practical. 10/10 @monika 💙

Beautiful!! How it all came together it’s a piece of art!!
A success in Minimalism for sure
You styled the room in away that made it look sophisticated
Great transformation. Great design. The designer is terrific. I appreciated that that Plan A didn't quite work out so they went to Plan "A.5" Great solution for the hardwood floor. Well done!
LOVE the wall. I’m totally wanting a cement looking kitchen countertop and wood beam ceiling. This room was totally my style.
Best transformation yet! Love this one. Good job Weekender team.
Whoa !!! I think I'm with you girl ... this is my favorite reno !!!♥️
That wall!!! Monica you are brilliant!!!
I love the way you think outside the box. Fabulous room!!!
I love this one! Great job! Blessings!!!!! 💜
Oh my!!!! I love it! I’m so addicted watching all your episodes!😃👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 bravo!!!!
I love the faux cement wall! It’s like a wall sized, minimalist/abstract art piece! 👍🏼
We finally finished our master bedroom as well using the faux brick panels on our main wall! It was very inexpensive and made a huge difference! I agree with you that the master bedroom is typically one of the rooms to complete.
I would have never thought of the faux compound wall.
Adding greenery to the room like a majestic palm or fiddle fig would be beautiful in the room too.
♥️
That wall was amazing! !!! And the selling was bueatiful!!!!
I absolutely love it!!! We also can’t decide how we want to decorate our master bedroom, this is so inspiring, looks amazing
Greetings from Florida 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
Love the faux cement wall!
Love it. The faux cement wall is gorgeous.
I love it, even the "rustic" floors. My only slight problem is with the lack of a beam that looks like it should be running centered right through the chandelier/light. Isn't there a way to put one up by cutting it in 2 and coping out wood to make room for the light fixture attachment at the ceiling? I was skeptical about the "concrete" finish on the wall, but it turned out to look great, too. All in all, a home run. The room looks very Nordic to me.
Love it!! Especially that wall! Totally doing this in my bedroom!
Love the concrete wall and desk! Very relaxing space.
