  • It’s important as an instructor to adapt to student needs. Even in an introductory course, some people need more time on some topics. In this candid clip, Will is slowing down the pace of the class to go back over a foot work fundamental that was previously covered. He’s giving more context, and a bit more detail to help some students that asked the question.
He’s not teaching people to run into the room, this drill he is talking about is not in the context of any certain type of clearance, it is simply the fundamentals of how to get through the door efficiently without bumping into the door frame, without over penetrating, and prepping your body for the angles you should be working. This same movement applies to entry after a delivery/threshold evaluation, or on a dynamic entry. This video does not contain footwork for a buttonhook, just a very simple path of least resistance movement.
We pride ourselves on teaching with adaptability, using the adult learning model. We run gentleman’s courses, people are treated professionally and we take our time to ensure that students understand concepts and get good repetitions. If you are interested in learning more, come to class! We hold open enrollment courses all over the US.

Footwork is my absolute FAVORITE! I could run that stuff all day, it really is a beautiful dance. Your content is absolute gold, no bs straight to the point and not 20+ minutes. Don’t get me wrong those can be nice, but these bites of knowledge are what really get embers started. Keep up the good fight!

It's cool to see guys get paid teaching all the things we learned in the GWOT. The lessons where hard learned with great consequences, hope people appreciate it.

@@olivedrab1 orion group has been talking shit about these tactics for a looooong time. only started learning and adapting to it after the whole scene started to shift. they are voltures, better going to other groups to actually learn this stuff.
Edit: the stuff shown in this video can be taught by anbody who knows footwork, the more complex implications of combat clearance these guys arent the ones you want to learn that shit from they have way too many biases around relying on bd6 bullshit from the 70's due to their experience.

It all makes sense when you see how the steps orient the hips in the correct direction for entering the room.

There are plenty if chads on YT kitted out, cigar in teeth and popping off at the mouth with YT shorts with other "operators" running drills and quick cut action shots. They demand ridiculous fees to attend their "training"... Thank God, there are reputable companies like yourself to actually know what you're doing than talking crap on YT and pushing ppl to their Instagram channel!!!
    Carry On!!

Get through the opening staying off the wall with the least amount of steps possible and ensuring step placement does not create risk for you or your teammates

This seems viable for the 1 and 2 man clearing the corners. There seems to be a newer method of where the 1 and 2 man engages direct threats in front before clearing the corners. It doesn't translate into text as well as in motion but it made sense when watching it in action. UF Pro did a video on this I believe.
Not taking away any of this information. It's legit. Just keeping an open mind to a possibility of evolving tactics.

“Step 1, expose my unarmored ribs and liver to the enemy in the room.” “Step 2, ignore being shot seven times and die looking for a ninja in the corner.” “Step 3, take three other people out of the fight to attempt medical aid and carry my lifeless body to the casualty collection point.” “Step 4, claim this is the latest technique and teach others to die the same way.” Awesome.

Ditto. The big step is so you can find out if the enemy’s there by only sacrificing your leg.

Are we already under the notion that the door has been pied off and the front is clear from far corner to far corner so we don’t mind the 45deg angle off the door way where our body and gun are exposed? Or is it a hard hit flowing in after a bang or frag has prepped the room?
