So glad I rescued a mix , the vet told me Shar pei because of the ears . Every one else says ridgeback . He's amazing high energy , lovable very good with other dogs , more so than people seems to like women more than men . I've had dozens of different dogs over my sixty years loved them all , this guy rocks . Anyone who has experience with this combo has many stories . Aloha
How to easier bond with a puppy who's going to come into our household at almost 18 weeks old. And how to handle any issues with our cat? Our main concern is that puppy will be much older than usually when you get new pup. Thanks
my male Ridgeback is 5 years old and has just lived with me, my teenage granddaughter moved in a few weeks ago and when her friends come to visit he jumps up and growls at them he has always been placed and loves playing with other dogs in our dog park and is friendly to people so why is he being like this at home ? thank you for the video I will try your suggestion but I am 66 and not very strong
Thanks for the info because I have a ridge back and she is very hipper and she jumps on everyone that comes over and I have to keep her put up so she can't jump on my friends and family and I don't like having to keep her put up it makes me feel bad for her because she loves people but she just want set and be calm lol so I'm going to give it a try what you are saying in this video and I pray I can help her
Donald brown same thing here and he’s huge. It’s even more difficult when friends egg it on because they love him. 😭🙏🏼🙏🏼 practice practice practice is they key I believe. D
Hey Claire, check out our video over on our dedicated training channel with a live demonstration on how to fix this sort of behaviour: ua-cam.com/video/IFkrtwAQL1M/v-deo.html
I hv two 3 months old pups. They came a week back ,problem is that they refuse to go for walks I have to force them to go out to do their job. I don't Know why?
Be nice if you actually filmed the dog being taught your training They are such a great breed. Had a male followed by a female They were both great dogs but the female was far easier to train than my stubborn mischievous male.
What is a certified K9 Leader? Is this an official accreditation available from somewhere? As I would really like to become one! It sounds awesome, no idea what it does but I’m all for being a K9 Leader!
Jesus Christ man! get to the freakin point................................. OMG! skip to 7 minutes into the video and the answer is a simple verbal discipline, christ all mighty what is the world coming to!
They have a lot of content but all their vids sound and look the same. They need to actually show what they are talking about and show us a a dog they have done this with or have RR puppy grow up on the show. They have great passion which I appreciate. This is RR show but the tips are generic for Dogs on general. I will say that their theory is accurate for the most but it one dimensional their are so many personality types I've seen with RRs some are more hard headed than others I have a 10 month old very responsive RR who I train twice a day before meals.RRs are easy to train if you are consistent and you know their drive. If they are food then you need treats on you at all times if toy drive the same .
It's too bad there's a lot of talking around points and references to Instagram and what not in every single video. Super annoying break ins. If you've watched a few you can't take anymore. Shame cuz the channel can be very valuable. Hope it can be dialed down a bit.
Will: How to *anything related to unwanted behaviour* Also Will: You have to become a high lever canine owner Well, thanks mate... Not really helpful. Jk of course (to some level), fantastic marketing pitch bud. Kudos!
These videos take forever to get to the point. I'm here for the fix not the 7:30 of advertising & filler nonsense. Let me summarize for viewer that wants Fenrir to get to the point: 1.) Verbalize no or negative sound immediately upon jump. 2.) Tell dog to sit. 3.) Reinforce positivity for obedience. 4.) Repeat. These people love to hear themselves speak. Shorten the videos.
This is good advice for not just jumping but dog training in general. Hell ya.

Thank you Video was helpful I have which bag mixed with a pitbull and she loves to jump on the window when I’m in the house preparing breakfast
Even though my ridgeback is really good, he still jumps when he is excited. Like food and walks, very annoying.
