I'm a believer in Christ and a Jewish believer in Christ. And I'm also a mixed race Jew of color. And whew, I've faced my share of criticism and nitpicking from other Jews for my beliefs...and in many instances other Jews invalidating my Jewishness just because I'm a believer in Christ. I've learned to tune out other people's opinions for the most part; my beliefs are my beliefs and I stand by them. I'm proud to be a believer in Christ, and I'm proud to be a Jewish believer in Christ. And my Jewishness is valid and doesn't go away just because other people try to erase it.
Messianic Judaism is what I think Jesus taught, not Christianity.

As a "gentile Christian" it is impossible for a true Christian to be against the Jewish people. Our Saviour is a Jew.. Our God is the God of Jacob and Issac, I have been grafted into the vine.. I am now part of you actually... I mean I am closer to being a messianic Jew. Our faith is Judeo Christian, Jesus fulfilled the law, He didn't do away with it so we are brethren now.... I love seeing what y'all are doing and I have always wanted to come to Israel but I am beginning to believe I may not get to make it to see the ole Jerusalem. I believe He is coming back soon. Hallelujah! But it hasn’t stopped your coreligionists from persecuting, murdering, forced conversion and altogether treating the Jewish people with scorn, contempt and utter derision for nearly 2000 years.
There’s not a lot you can do to repent and atone for the devastation and harm that has been caused. However forgiving God is, he is going to hold all those guilty to account.

We must remember that “so called christians” that persecuted Jews were not Holy Spirit filled born again Christians…that is why they did what they did in the past. If we are true Christ-followers…GOD gives us a great love for the Jewish people…why?… because the scriptures came to us through the Jewish people! We were grafted into the vine…by faith, Jesus and the disciples and the 120 plus the 5000 people all were Jewish!!!

The Jewish leaders actually said "let his blood be on us and our children" so they cursed themselves. By God's grace our Lord did not hold it against them. Nonetheless I think Jews that convert should be aware of these things and understand that the Jewish people as a unit were persecuting Christians to death. That is part of our history. God be thanked we'll get over these obstacles.

The lives of Corrie ten Boom and her family have impacted my life to love the Jewish people and look for opportunities to serve God’s chosen people. I’m sad when people who are broken by circumstances in their lives that have embittered them against hearing the Good news. I’m so thankful to the Jewish people - descendants of Abraham through whom God has blessed all the nations with the Savior of the whole world!

As a Christian, I would absolutely LOVE it if Jews, Muslims, or people of any other religion came up to me on the street and tried to convert me! I love every opportunity to talk with people about Jesus. I’m not afraid of my faith being challenged: my God can defend Himself. The truth can be poked with a stick.
Christianity is not a rejection or negation of Judaism but the fulfillment of it. I 100% believe the Jewish scriptures.

Romans 11 explain very well what you said and why
@SaintTM2222 sure does and pay attention paul says "until" the full number of gentiles is brought in. Then Zechariah ch 12 they will look on me whom they have pierced. But it's a double prophecy just as the virgin will be with child is a double prophecy, read on to chapter 13 and you will see that 1/3 of the Jewish people come to God through the messiah. This is connected to revelation the 144000 sealed for the second harvest after the gentile church is complete, then 1/3 of the jews supporting them to go throughout the earth. Matthew 24 verse 15 is when it happens, and it's not addressed to you and me it would be addressed to the jews after the fulfillment of Zechariah 13 and that's why it says "let the reader understand" and for Rev 12 the woman is found in genesis 37 also a double prophecy as the sheaves are for Joseph and his brothers in egypt but also the second harvest after the gentile church is complete. Sorry that's a lot but if you can follow what I'm trying to say you should read all those and you can put it together. Notice the woman's child is caught up to gods throne, I see that as the completion of the gentile church and then it's the 144000 doing another harvest and satan wars against the rest of her children. The buses run very frequently, but travel isn't free. We have to give up ourselves, and though the destination is Salvation, the route is different for everyone. That is an expensive price.

👍🏻 Your explanations and definitions precisely match what we learnt at a weekly Torah study in Cape Town South Africa, aimed at believers in Jesus, which i attended for a few years:
1. Christians are _gentiles_ who believe in Jesus. They have been grafted into the Jewish rootstock of their faith, but they are not Jewish.
2. Jewish believers in Jesus remain Jewish. They have simply had the veil removed from their eyes and recognise Him as their Messiah. They are not any less Jewish than they were before - if anything they are more Jewish, they are completed Jews.
May the Lord bless your efforts to share the truth of Jesus and the Gospel, the good news of why He came and of His soon coming return.

If you truly love the Jewish people please DO NOT pray that they find Jesus. This is a real sin for a Jew, and if you facilitate it it makes you a sinner, in fact, a far worse one!
For the record, Jeff, a Jew is one born of a Jewish mother or having converted according to the method established. Having said that, a Jew who embraces Christianity cuts him/herself off from the Jewish people and can have nothing more to do with them until they renounce this false belief. So it is true they retain their Jewish ancestry but not their connection to the Jewish people, and the community is duty bound to treat them as though they are no longer Jewish.

We all get backlash when we share the true Jewish Yeshua. I was born and raised into Roman Catholicism and believe me, denying Mary and praying to the saints,is almost equivalent for a Jew to recognize Yeshua as the Messiah. Later, at the Lord’s Supper, Jesus Christ showed us how to obey His request to eat and drink of Him via blessed bread and wine that has changed into His body and His blood. Please read some teachings of the early Catholic/Orthodox Church fathers on the Eucharist.

There is no other way to obey God’s request to eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ. Our one true God is most gracious and wise and one should lovingly accept His divine gift because “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you” (Jesus Christ).

From day one (Genesis 12), Abram (later Abraham) had a relationship with God. So much so that in Isaiah 41:8, God calls Abraham "My friend".
That speaks of relationship. And to boot, there is no hint of religion in the life of Abram/Abraham.
Before God spoke to Abram (Gen 12), he lived a religious life, steeped in paganism.

If the Jewish people do not need a mediator that means they must stand before God in their own righteousness. Isaiah speaking on God's behalf in Isaiah 64:6 declared that "our (man's) righteousness is as filthy rags". So you can trust in your own righteousness or you can receive the atonement that God provided through the sacrifice of His one and only Son Yeshuah and then stand before God in Messiah Yeshuah's righteousness.

I am a born again christian and l would not be so if I thought that Jesus taught any of the things christians are accused of! The Bible teaches that Jews are God’s chosen people, and that God is Triune. Christians are certainly not perfect, but we are commanded to love God and love others!
I'm a gentile Christian and I totally agree about the terrible things people did in the name of God. Christians, Muslims, Hindus, etc. All of these things caused people to blaspheme God, thinking He actually condoned the acts done. But, Israel, who was first given God's laws to spread throughout the world committed the same sins, causing folks to blaspheme. We're all guilty. I definitely will not excuse so called Christians who acted violently against Jews, and persecuted them. I am ashamed of our history, but I also realize that in my own walk I have caused people to stumble because of my failures. God is good. Jesus is good. God forgive us of our many failures. Thanks be to God for Jesus who paid that price. I wish we could redo history, but it's done. All my hope is in Jesus.

How else can we know something is true if it's the only information we know, we have to look at all the information available? I'm studying the Tanakh looking at all the instances of plurality describing Elohim . Isaiah 48:12-16 is the best example but also Isaiah 41:1-4 and 44:6. The ancients understood this and it seems to have been lost.
Yeshua in John 5:39,40 said You search and search the scriptures and in them you think you have life but they are what speak of me and yet you are still unwilling to come to me to have life. I just found this channel this morning and I couldn’t be more grateful and impressed how you’ve also found your way to the belief in Jesus our lord and savior. I was raised Mormon and born under the covenant until I walked away at the age of 16. I eventually found my way back to a deep life changing belief and understanding in Christ but not through any religion. Just through the word of God in our bible, on my own. My wife is Jewish, attends a non denominational Christian church with me every Sunday, but does not believe he is the messiah. She has been a member of this church for over 5 years. Loves our pastor, the community and worshipping as a family. She certainly lives the life of a follower of Christ, but won’t accept him as our lord and savior. I think she believes she’d be turning her back on her Jewish roots. I know better than to argue or even bring it up at times lol. I’m grateful for what we have and believe she will come to make a choice as we all have one day, and see the blessings and miracles of the son of God one day. Thanks again for all you do. My fathers side were spanish Jew converts - I never grew up with my father, but heritage wise, I am still Jewish. That being said, I have a lot of respect for what the Jewish people went through, throughout history. A lot of people also did horrifc things in the name of God, yet we do not discredit God either. I just want to also quote Psalm 22:27-31, as it was foretold that a future davidic king would suffer for the people and bring the gentile nations to worship the true God of Israel. I am a gentile as far as I know( I have never done a genealogy test). However, I am a Jesus believer and he is my Lord and Savior and he was a Jew. I know that Jewish people are Gods chosen people but God graphed me and other believers into the body of Christ. There will be Jesus believers both Jew and gentile at the marriage supper of the lamb. The Bible says Jesus is the head of the church and those that believe in Jesus the Son of God are the body.

Paul basically states that ONLY THOSE who have faith in God (whether Jew or Gentile), through the Gospel that God told to Abraham (the Gospel of the Messiah Yeshua), are the children of Abraham. Therefore, those who do not have faith in the Gospel that God shared with Abraham, are not children of Abraham.
Because even Jesus himself told the Pharisees who opposed him, “When Abraham learned of my coming, he was filled with Joy. But you want to kill me instead.”
Then he basically tells them they are not children of Abraham, but children of Satan.
Good conversation and twas good to see you both so comfortable in speaking to the questions. I consider pretty regularly these same questions as they enter and exit my head and developed my own answers. I would probably seem more confrontational than both of you but as you said, "I am living out my faith." For me, I feel like there aren't as many Christians who practice like I do when it comes to The Great Commission, and you may stand to disagree. Here in the States it is a marketing machine to go out and repeat after me what the world has been trained to hear about our Savior; I cannot stand it. I'm sure sometimes I may sound the same because our love for Him is equal but we are all different for the precise reason that God has no favorites. So, when it comes to forgiveness in my world it might be easier to just accept that to forgive is to forget. I don't dwell on you. I don't sit there and build a shrine to you and the facts we shared; I just move on, and this offends the psychiatric community greatly. When it comes to The Great Commission, when the opportunity is presented with any person that addresses me, I promised God I would not fear the Holy Spirit within me and would give them the double edged sword of the truth. (A trait I've always loved about my Jewish friends even though we never had the chance to talk about Jesus.) Sometimes this makes me sound mean and awful because the impression of the peace within myself may make me look more approachable, but people must remember we are still human, we have not ascended. These things I am reminded of when Jesus said his kingdom was not of this world and that one day our bodies would no longer matter in marriage, but it is not for the immature in their faith otherwise we end up with the debauchery we are experiencing today. Our sins are forgiven and this one of the hardest concepts to get because man does not let us forget. So, perhaps forgiveness should be taught more as finding peace with that which we cannot change, the past. The future is open and a wide road, only taking the step into new mistakes will help us find our Mt. 18:18. Go and sin no more means that a mistake does not have to become a lifestyle.

The hypostases or "persons", but one substance. The creeds, in their various versions, attempt to explain it but if you look too closely into it, it is like trying to study a butterfly by pulling it apart, and you are left with nothing.
