Hahahahaha.... loved the packing material. Nice fix mate, and congrats to Mike on the win! Thanks to everyone who subbed up and entered the comp, it was much fun.
Thanks for working with me on this James, you are an amazing person thankyou. It was fun, even the fix. Next one will have to be open international entries I think !
Huge thanks to Mat and James for organising this giveaway. The planes have come up a treat, and the box is absolutely stunning. And Mat, what a great job on the repair mate you cant even tell.
Hi Drew, True and thanks for the complement. I did discuss it with mike re repairing it so the secret was out. and i had to do the best possible fix for him. Plus it made an excellent video. haha.
Two things Matt. 1. the grain in that timber is superb, and 2. oh my god the grain in that timber is so freaking sweet 😍😍 Great fix, and man, must have been scary as cutting into it to remove the old divider lol 😆
haha, yes packed with love, then bubble wrapped, boxed and sent fragile via courier sign only. Mike said the stupid courier then dropped it before he handed it over. !!!
@@Saw-IT some courier employees don't qualify for their job. When they delivered my milling machine, I had no forklift and nobody was around to help, so they dropped it off the lorry on the street and left. The box broke. I didn't have time to test if the machine works, I hope it survived the landing from 1.2 meters. And God only knows how they handled it when I wasn't watching
Fettled the shit out of the guts, lol. Pretty scary because it is not longer my box, but so glad it turned out better than the original with so little work.

So cool it was a lot of fun and an absolute pleasure Mike.
Bloody rippa! Congrats on the win Mike, I hope you enjoy them.
@@FixitFingers Loving and enjoying planes is in the heart of every great wood worker. Especially old ones with a story.
Great fix! If you didn’t tell anyone, they never would be able to tell!

Thanks Mario, 1 yes, 2 omg yes.
I did briefly discuss it with Mike before i started but that made no difference to how genuinely scary it was. lol

@@Saw-IT yes and I also have metal lathe still unboxed. Also can't wait to start playing with them
Not flawed, just needs a bit of fettling , very nice box
