Najia Taylor You can explore great J-pop during 90s-2000s, such as DA PUMP, w-inds., Namie Amuro, Folder, Lead, TM Network, Tetsuya Komuro, etc etc. J-pop has had hiphop vibes since then actually, but Japanese artists have their own world no.2 biggest music market so they don’t have to go abroad, so they are mostly hidden internationally. I’m very sure that our fellow Yuya had much influence by those Japanese artists since almost 30 years ago, because he is one of the greatest artists, too :)

Najia Taylor Well, I’m never anti K-pop or against any Korean idols, but I must say that K-pop has been stealing and copying J-pop, Johnny’s idols (Johnny’s associations since 1962) and American trends. They are doing what J-pop has been doing over 30 years - hiphop mixed vibes, English mixed lyrics, dance-vocal groups, fashion, feminine boys, anime-manga looks, etc etc. I can’t see any originality from K-pop, it’s just a mix of copied stuff of Japan and US. It’s just American songs sung in Korean language by Korean idols though.
