I got my Ronin 225 (DS) on oct-2. After using a 100cc bike for 18 years, this is my first upgrade to a powerful bike like Ronin. One thing is for sure, its a great attention grabbing bike. Yet to take it for a long ride!!!

A Ronin with the 310cc engine and a 6th gear, with a 19 inch front wheel and a bit longer seat and wheelbase will be awesome!

    • @confused.cat.
      @confused.cat. 6 місяців тому +1

19 inch wheels would defeat the entire purpose of this bike, that combined with the already big rake angle would make it a RE motorcycle.

Ronin's main characteristic is its square engine - its basically RTR 200 engine with longer stroke. It gives plenty of low-end torque. RR310 is sporty short stroke high revving engine. TVS should do the same with 310 engine - make it squarer ie. longer stoker to increase low end torque. Definitely good preposition.

The riders triangle and pillion seat length could have been better, also a little more power would have been amazing. Given the price and brand value perception the Hunter may affect the sales of this.

Did the 1st free servicing of Ronin today at 785 kms which cost Rs 1070 including oil change and chain cleaning & lubrication. Normal paid servicing will entail additional labor cost of around Rs 520 as revealed to me. Other than inadequate lower beam illumiation I didn't find any con so far. Your videos seem honest and this video finally made my purchase decision. I bought the special edition recently, coming from Access 125 I am thoroughly enjyoing this motorcycle. The sitting posture, refinement, eagreness of engine is such that my transition was very smooth. The plush ride, the added power and stability of a bigger machine is just the upgrade I was loooking for. Anyway the motorcycle looks too attractive in person, I keep mine covered in parking to deter jealous eyes.😂Thank you for making no bs honest videos. Best motorcycle review channel in India.

I have ridden only three bikes all my life. An RX135, A 97 bullet and a Classic 500. I never fit in a particular style of rider. I think this bike is perfect for me. It's very nimble in Traffic and feels in control all the time. The gearing does need a little getting used to as Strell said (Oh that back gear would have been heavenly). I would definitely recommend this to people.

    Ronin SPE EDT Dec-2023.
Bike age 5 months : Parts changed:
    1. Gear Sensor ( 4 days delay)
    2. Front Back Sprocket (4 days delay)
    3. Rear Mono Shock ( 15 days delay)
    4. Rear brake kit full ( under progress) brake failed while driving. 4 days and counting
Service center do not have proper person to repair.
delays are resolution delay, out of 5 months bike in breakdown condition for 1 month combined.
Think twice before buying TVS bikes. RTR310 people are also complaining.
Don't think this is problem with my bike only, there are many owners fighting to get service and repairs. Everyone does not go on twitter and UA-cam to comment so don't be ignorant. you will suffer.

  • @rashidshahidi7245

I have been riding The Ronin since Dec 23.
This is a great product. But the only concern with owning a TVS bike is the pathetic service quality of TVS service centre. Simply speaking its a headache to go there & get ur bike serviced.
This is where TVS need to improve, they are coming of with really good products & but the unprofessional service centres are pulling it down.
As far as the Ronin is concerned, then it is a good- value for money bike overall. Except for a few smaller issues, i am satisfied with it.
    Pros-
    1. Good body posture while riding. Raised handle bar & foot pegs positioning results in a very commanding & relaxed seating for me (i m 5.7 ft, with strong built & 90 kg)
    2. Suberb exhaust sound. Its loud & thunderous- keeps me engaged while riding.
    3. Good agility & maneuverability- its fun to filter thru the traffic & surge ahead.
    4. Very tractable engine- No need of frequent gear shifts.
    5. Adequate torque to pull ahead even at low speed. Also sufficient power for quick overtakes at city speeds.
    7. Excellent positioning of display console & large font size of important of infos make it easy to see while riding. In one frame i can see the traffic & the display at the same time.
    8. Braking- The braking power is sufficient & gives me confidence to go for high speeds. Even though i hav a single ABS version, it engages at the right time & i hav naver gone off balance. Credit shud be given to the broad block pattern tyres also.
    9. Comfortable seats & good cutioning & grips.
    10. The suspension set up is excellent. Front is on the harder side & rear one is softer. Able to negotiate bumps & potholes well, very good at curves.
    Cons-
    1. Very polarising & confused design. Difficult to digest for many people.
But this odd design provides it a good road presense. I can notice peope observing my bike, don't know if it is for admiration or for mocking the design 😂.
    2. Not so smooth Gear-
Some times it gets difficult to find neautral. Also occasionally gears stuck specially at lower gears like 2 to N or 1, 1 to N. No such issues at higher gears.
    3. Rear mud guard designing is very poor. When riding on wet muddy roads, a lot of muds & dirts accumulate on the rear fender & also on the seats & on the back of thr pillion. Same issue with front fender.
    4. Weak & impractical grab rail on the back. It is fragile & also bery basic design.
    5. Not sufficient Lights specially the Low beam is useless. I live in Kolkata & most of the roads are well lit up, but this will be a big problem in country sides.
    6. Drive chain cleaning & lubrication is tough bcos coberd from one side.
    7. Small looking glass also not well designed. At higher rpm, the glass looses it's actual position & nothing visible behind. Service centre unable to fix this & asking me to buy a new set of mirrors.
But, overall i love this bike.

Malayalam review was close to 20 mins. Great review as usual. Didn't discuss on the cons though and can't understand how this is a value for money bike when you get better machines for the same price like domi 250 fz25 and so on.

@@vaishnav1296 that's true. One thing which is a huge plus for fz is it has a better top end performance and a strong low and mid range pull. Its a yamaha engine at the end of the day. Ronin is not a cruiser it is just a confused proposition from TVS.. One side it looks like a scram and some angle like a street fighter.

    hi.
I'm looking for a bike on which you can do long stretches like 150-200kms in one go with a speed of 90-110km/hr and gives a decent fuel efficiency around 32-40km/l.
my budget is around Rs 2 - 2.75 lakhs.

Bro most of the premium bikes comes only with a toe shifter. IF you back out just because this reason, then you will definitely regret. And again you can use after market accessories for changing from toe shifter to toe and heel shifter.

I quitely went in for the apache rtr series 160 segment in mumbai showroom today evening.
now the guy gv the keys to the ronin and i was BOMBARDED with the looks when i had an opportunity to revbomb in an underpass!
These ride modes are not gimmicky they work well in heavy pouring rains with sheer stability and braking was perfect with Both ABS on point.
It just immediately felt like a RE guy turning the revs outta tvs with minimum fuss
The main advg is its less weight and good chasis work ideally meant for cutting city lanes and easy mile muncher within triple digit all day long.
    Its an unscripted marvel from
hosur engineers and they have nailed the Hunter is HUNTED by a long mile.

This bike is good by specification and performance, but only the Tank look makes it more appealing for youngsters. Not good for Elders. If the tank was similar to RE or Hness than it would be more promising.
