Carlos 😂 omg!! "Post traumatic 🐭 disorder" Such a funny and entertaining story, guys 😂 thanks so much for sharing 🩵
And thanks again for running the fun contest--- we are all winners just by watching your Advent episodes, knitting along and enjoying your sweet company ❤ Happy and Healthy 2024!
I think the mouse story deserves to be a children's book. The New Year's Visitor
Great idea!
Yes!!!
although it isn't fun to have mice in your home, stories like this are kind of feel good how some of it is funny, and how the mouse decides to snuggle in the bath robe. they are clever little ones. years ago, i had my deerfoam slippers gone missing, i normally took them off by the sofa to put my work shoes on or i'd take them off by the bed when i go to bed at night.. one day they went missing and i blamed the husband. he liked to play pranks. long story, a few days later we saw this blue stuff going back n forth the kitchen floor, i knew what it was, it was rat poison. i bent down to see where it come from.. there shoved up under the back splash of the cupboard was both slippers.. smart rat knowing to go back for slipper # 2. i never could figure out why my slippers not his socks he let lay all over. i moved from there very fast too. no i never again wore them slippers, i apologized to hubby. i could see a rodent taking one, but to go back and get the 2nd one?
Almost as funny as the Dolly Parton cake baking episode.
OMG!!! I've been watching your videos for years and have been enjoying your company for so long! I feel like your channel is a natural part of my life! I watch all your videos and they always, always bring joy, happiness, cheer and inspiration into my daily life. And now I won your competition! I am so grateful for this and for everything you do! Thank you! Thank you, Arne & Carlos! 🤩❤🥳
Congratulations! ❤️❤️
Awesome! Congratulations ❤ So happy for you 🎉
I pictured Carlos chasing the mouse and it was so hilarious! :D It was so funny to see Arne laughing about Carlo's fear of the mouse! Hahah!
The mouse story was so funny. I would be as determined as you Carlos at getting it out of the house and not resting until I did! Congratulations to the winners of the contest.
Oh please. I would love to do another stocking!!!!
Hahaha the trouble with mouse in the house! To much work darn mice! Remembering the movie Mouse Hunt! Glad your mouse free! Love your table cloth!
OMG! I can't believe it - how exciting!! Thank you so much!!
It was Mercury retrograde over the holidays which explains the ski trip, the highway, the broken cups, and the mouse! All the best for 2024 🎉😍
A few years ago I made 78 doll dresses in one winter. I still have all of them, my Granddaughter had outgrown dolls by then.
The saga of the Mouse"s Visit to the Lake House is hysterical! Great giggle to start the year! Thanks!
i would be screaming too with a mouse. me and rodents don't mesh. i wanted to say, the stocking pattern was prize in itself. thank you both for hosting the knit along advent stocking. Congratulations winners.
Thank you for joining this year!
Who can't find something helpful, interesting, enlightening or new by listening in to SAKFAB?! If I knitted during SAKFAB, I would have a perpetual UFO as you fellows are so engaging. Off to a great new year...thank you! 😊😊
Enjoy!
OMG the mouse story had me rolling! Arne giggling at Carlos fretting over that tiny mouse was too much. Congratulations to the contest winners.
always interesting!
Arne you crack me up! 😂😂😂. Your not the loser! So much laughter when I watch your content. Never a dull moment with Carlos!
I am with you Carlos, even thought the mouse is so small I have an extreme reaction to them. It was a good laugh. I am almost finished the heel of pair if socks while you entertain me❤
Living in the country, near a forest or at the lake means sharing the environment with all kinds of little creatures! Mice can fit through the tiniest hole to find their way in. Carlos, I’m like you, I can imagine them everywhere once even only one has presented himself. At the same time, Arne, once one is caught and let go, I worry about how it is surviving. What a conundrum! Happy New Year. Starting the year with an adventure suggests there is promise ahead.
Happy New Year!
0C sounds tropical at the moment since in Northern Alberta we have had -40C to -45C for the last week. It warmed up to -16C during the day today. We had a wonderfully long autumn with a brown Christmas, which is very unusual but we got hammered in January. We do have black bears and grizzly bears in our region but the polar bears are in Northern Manitoba, Nunavut, and the North West Territories. We definitely enjoy knitting and knitted garments are definitely appreciated. Keep warm and knit on!
Arne! Been watching old videos and you were talking about Jo Nesbo. I'm getting ready to start book 1 the bat. 😊 you and Carlos are so fun to watch! ❤
Your butterfly on the wall is pretty 🦋 I found one on my porch while cleaning up last fall, it was black and yellow. I carefully picked it up an placed it on a shelf with some of my decorative tea cups! ☺️ The dress is beautiful, all of those lovely doll clothes need a wardrobe and a matching luggage and garment bag set! 👗Oh my the mouse story is fun, lol, i used to have pet rats, but don't want any wild mice running around! Congratulations to the winners!🎊 Thank you Arne and Carlos for the knit along and the generous giveaway!!💖
Arne, I really can relate to you! The pandemic took the wind from my sails and I lost interest in my hobbies. I too can go a year without seeing the top of my desk!
Happy new year 2024! I just loved the MKAL. My daughter fell in love with the stocking. It ended up as one of her favorite presents. I did end up with a loose gauge and the stocking was pretty big……but more room for many gifts!
Even better!
Love the mouse story!!! I enjoyed making the stocking, learned some new techniques. Would love to see your new kitchen.
SAKFAB is my favorit, thank you for sharing your Stories 😊
You guys are the best! And Arne, you are a “winner.”
Happy New Year! 🎉 ❤to sit and knit and listen to your shenanigans! 😊 the stocking was so much fun! 🤩 Thank you, Arne and Carlos!
You are welcome, thank you for joining!
Loved the story of the Mouse Debacle! With multiple cats, we rarely have a mouse debacle - but when we do, we always work hard to catch the mouse and free it outside before the cats can "help."
True!
We have our coldest weather now here in southern Minnesota. Our Christmas was above freezing this year. We have wind chills of -31 Celsius right now. Brrrrrrr. Your mouse story made me smile.
So enjoyed making the Christmas sock, and yes it was so doable and enjoyable to make. Not being a fast knitter though I loved making the Christmas baubles and tiny jumpers, the Stocking was really achievable in your time scale :-)
Love love that tablecloth, very vintage looking as well. The little dress looks so pretty with the pink beads! The quilting cruise will be interesting, which i was going. Thanks for the great video. 😊. Carlos, that laugh when Arne was talking about his desk, so cute.
Hello , from Lake Havasu City, AZ. I love watching n listening to u both, u guys bring me so much joy. I don't get much of that due to my disease, Fabry takes my quality of life away .which u guys bring back in ur funny way. THANK U!
I found your mouse story very interesting and decided to look up the meaning of mouse as a totem or spirit animal, here's what I found "Meaning of mouse in the house is about letting go of the details. It may even be as literal as stopping your obsession over cleanliness and organization. Instead pause to appreciate the beautiful home and life you have. Start a list of things that you are grateful for." Hope you get something out of that. Happy New Year to you.
I missed you guys... even though I saw all your advent videos.. enjoyed your mouse odessy on new years day....
Yes, please do another stocking for xmas this year xx❤
Hope you had a nice trip. I did enjoy the stocking days. ❤
Loved this chit chat guys. Brilliant - thank you.
Would’ve loved to have been a fly on the wall when you were trying to capture the mouse! Never a dull moment in your life.
😂😂
Happy 2024 and welcome home from Sweden. I hope you had a grand visit with your parents for the holiday. I wouldn't change a thing about SAKFAB. I adore both of you like you w
Are my family
Happy new year. I did the Christmas stocking and enjoyed knitting it very much. It would be great if you did another this Christmas. I look forward to sharing another crafting year with you both 😊
I love my European Vloggers. I have learned and seen so much of your country and of the places that you have traveled that I otherwise would not have. Thank you.
Loved your adventures. We will be seeing you in February, looking forward to it!
This mouse saga is too much!! Arne is the hero of the story. I would scream too with mice in my space.
It was -20c when i woke up this morning and it went up a bit, -15c when i went for my morning walk. I am in Ontario Canada and this is normal temperature. I remember many years ago, march 8th, we had a big snowstorm similar to yours and many were stuck in their cars for many hours. I dropped my daughter to work just before it started snowing. A mere 15 minutes away from home. It started snowing on my way back and an hour later, i wanted to go back and pick her up because it was getting worse. But she phoned and said there was no way i could go because the roads were already closed. Luckily she slept at a friend’s home which was close to the little grocery store where she worked. -10/-15c is perfect weather to go skiing or snowshoeing 😊
Thank you so much for every little thing.....I love everything you do =)
You two are the best!!!
Happy New Year! The mouse story had me laughing so much I dropped a few stitches on my sock knitting😅. And my Christmas stocking is staying up all year. I just love it. Thank you so much for all the joy you have brought me throughout the years. Peace and love!
Hooray, you're back. I am about to start the second sleeve of a stranded colourwork seamless sweater I started on Cristmas Day, once the stocking was completed. By the time the next SAKFAB is on, hopefully I'll be on my next project. As for your Mouse Tale/Tail. Having been brought up in the wilds of Scotland, I know how that goes! Through your retelling of this adventure, can tell which of you is the old school country boy and who is more of a townie! I did laugh though.
I loved the advent knit along so much.... please please please please please please please please please do another one. It was the most fun I have had once every advent evening in December since about 1968. We always opened our advent doors before we went to bed.
We have been very lucky here on Merseyside; the Northern lights have been visible as far south as us!!
By the way Arne, there has been a wonderful show on the BBC recently called Wild Scandinavia. The photography was stunning. I hope you get a chance to see it.
So lush to have you back on our Voodoo Tube screens!
Once, at work, a tiny mouse ran into the bathroom in the school's health room. I went in after it (the bottom of the door was sealed with a towel ) to catch. I squealed when it climbed up my leg😅, but eventually caught it. Your story brings this memory back to me.
I so look forward to SAKFAB every time! It's like you are talking to me in my kitchen!! Just love it! And both of you!! 🥰
Thank you for joining!
I love your sit and knit for a bit because you always make me laugh
Words cannot express how much you both warm my heart!!
Yes, the video will be great! I loved doing the stocking and finished it. I was at my daughter’s house for the Christmas season and knitting away. She hinted that her 5 children’s stockings are worn out. So the stocking went to the youngest. My plan is to knit each a new stocking of your design. I intend to join whatever the knitalong is next December. I started really late due to other knitting priorities; I didn’t start until Dec. 12 and finished it by Christmas Eve. Thank you for everything you do!
This past New Year will be one you will remember for a very long time. What a way to start a new year - - with a Mouse Hunt..... that was a very fun story with great images going through my mind.....
Happy New Year! Thank you for your funny stories and and for inspiring projects on this -35C Sunday in Canada. My grandchildren are now keen to start making clothes for Barbie and learning how to knit as a result of my 'cleaning' yarn to make them little accessories for toys and a hat from my yarn leftover stash for Christmas!
I just love sitting here with my headphones on, crocheting while I listen to you both! I wouldn't miss sitting & knitting for a bit with my favorite youtubers! Thank you from Australia 🦘🦘
Oh my gosh! I laughed so hard about the mouse story! I love it that you put your camera in the bathroom to see what she was doing. If you haven’t seen it, watch the movie Mouse Hunt. It is a very funny movie with an extremely smart mouse causing trouble!
I moved to Karlskrona in January 1987. We had a snowstorm and -25°C. That was cold in a coastal town. Then we didn't have snow for seven years. Not even in Gävle where I moved to 1989.
My Spanish Waterdog Elmer loves the snow here now.
Love Eileen
It’s minus 13C here in eastern province of Quebec, Canada and we have a lot of snow. Perfect for knitwear. I’m wearing wool socks all winter long and there’s a country skiing path just behind my house.
I'm glad I can use my library website while I listen to you
Yeay~ Another year of Arne and Carlos! I'm so happy you guys are back 😃💕
Happy New Year! I think it will be a fabulous 2024! I live in Oregon USA. Yesterday we had freezing rain all day long. Trees are down everywhere, power lines are down. 130,000 people in Portland are without electricity. That doesn't include surrounding areas. I don't know what 'snow' is like because it's always ice, not snow, and incredibly dangerous road conditions. I would love to experience snow sometime. Snow you watch coming down from your window and you know you'll be able to walk in and play in just outside your door. Staying home can be a great option, and I totally love it if there's power. I'm lucky to have have power, several of my relatives and friends do not. Hooray to the winners of your contests! Good Job! Happy New Year again!
Happy New Year!
Hi guys happy new year to you both it was great to see you loved the crochet cloth that is what I do so I know the work that goes into that the doll dress are beautiful ok thanks for telling us about your things you do take care ❤
I saw the Dolly book in our library last week when I was shelving, and I thought Oh Arne should have this.....and you do! Enjoy!!
So good to see you this new year. Arne, don’t forget to send me some doll patterns. Love you guys 💕
Just before leaving UK for winter in Nov 23, we had a visitor scrabbling about at night. Didn't trouble me, but hubby not so happy. We had the specialist visit, unable to find. So we used sonic pest deterrents. Worked. So hopefully when we return end of Jan 24, we don't have the same. Thanks for the chit chat.
Happy New Year fellow Norwegians! I don't think you have peanut butter but that's a great food to put in a mousetrap! But you got the critter and now you can spend more time on your beautiful creations.
I can identify with Carlos so much with the mouse story. Thank you for such a fun ‘sakfab’. I was able to cast on and knit the cuff of my 2nd sock.
Arne the crochet filet fabric is just beautiful. Hours of work I would guess.
Don’t worry lots of people loves you both
My Norwegian grandmother grew up in Hamar. I have never visited there, though. She raised her family in Western Washington State in the USA and returned home to visit only twice.
Thanks so much for the 15 mins 😉 with Arne and Carlos. So glad you were able to visit with your Mom and Dad during the Holidays Carlos. We had a bird fly down our chimney last year and into the woodstove. It was Summer so no fire going. It flew around the house for a bit and my Husband managed to throw a towel over it and put it outside...it was a European Starling. Also had mouse issues at a another house we lived in but won't go into that. Nice that you were able to let the mouse outside again...I'm sure it was fine in the snow. Yes, we Canadian are pictured living in igloos with Polar Bears in our back yard. Funny how others depict other cultures. We have similar weather here in Nova Scotia as you have in Norway. -9C here tonight...no snow.🤗🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
So good to see you both again and congratulations to both of you the winners🎉🎉🎉🎉
Would love a new knit along for Christmas this year.
Lovely to see you back guys. I sympathise with the mouse issue. We've had mice in the past, despite having 2 cats. My husband won't go near them so I have to do the necessary. All the best for 2024 xxx
I couldn’t watch this on the day you posted because I was buried under a huge pile of snow! In western Michigan we get system snow and lake effect snow when the wind comes in off Lake Michigan. Lots of shoveling helps keep me in shape! Now it’s really cold, which is unusual here, but very normal where I grew up, in northern New York near the border with Canada. Speaking of Canada, I just discovered a shop in Toronto that carries Hillesvåg Sølje, Vilje, Tinde, and Sol that is not too far off the route I take when I go to visit family in New York. So while I’m disappointed that I didn’t win the competition, at least I know where I can go to get more of the Norwegian yarn that I love.
Lovely to see you both again. Congratulations to both winners! I hope that you have recovered from your PTMD 😁 Takk again. Be well, Sally 🌹
You both bring laughter - thanks for the great videos.
Great episode! Thank you all!😊❤
Happy New year!! It’s -27 feels like -31 Celsius in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada today.
Freezing!
Sooo glad to start a new year hearing about your antics.
Arne: “We have plenty of knitwear”. Love it! It’s -10 F here today and I’m sick of shivering indoors, knitwear or not. Supposed to be above freezing on Wednesday for the first time in a week. Brrrr!
Thank you for continuing to do SAKB in 2024. Sorry about the mouse 🤣
I love what you doing and I am not even a knitter so I enjoy your channel as it is.😊
Congrats to the winners. Hope they post pics of them opening their prizes on social media.❤
This was so fun!!! Thank you! ❤😊
You are welcome!
I loved to hear your story about the mouse I kept thinking of Tom & Jerry a cartoon when I was little You made me laugh so much. I love your videos you are very interesting and have so much to share with everyone. Many thanks and a very happy MOUSE FREE new year 😂😂❤
This is my first sit and knit…and I got a lot done on the border of my Shetland shawl. Great to listen to you two the whole time. Thank you for the SANFAB. ☺💕💕
Lovely white blanket Arne😊
I love seeing and hearing from you both. You make my day!
Hi Paige!
I love listening to you both! It's so refreshing 😂
Great to have a New Year catch up.
Cheers to 2024- I hope it is a Happy, Healthy, and Rewarding year for you! I am in Chicago where it is presently minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit with a wind chill of minus 30. It is sunny at least and I am about to go for a walk as it will get much colder soon. I embrace your Scandinavian motto “There is no bad weather, only bad clothing.”!
Happy New Year, guys. The mouse story is hilarious! I understand the anxiety they can create. They just need to live outside. The crocheted table cloth is beautiful.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year and yes, I ordered one of your books and so exited to do the flower blanket!😍🤩🥰
Lovely episode. So nice to hear about the latest shenanigans, particularly the New Year's day🐁🐁🐁 I loved the Christmas KAL and would love to do this every year. The competition was very fun. Congratulations to the lucky winners. We finally have snow in Upstate NY. Good knitting weather. I just completed my first sweater of 2024. Goal is one sweater each month. We'll see how it goes. XOXO
Happy New Year dear Arne and Carlos. It’s sooo good to see you and listen to all your shenanigans. Eeewww , I’m with Carlos about how mice gross me out. When I was newly married, my husband and I lived on a small farm. One night, it was a very cold winter’s night, I woke up and said to my husband, stop touching my toe. He said I am not. I threw the doona back, and there was a mouse in the bed. I screamed non stop for a long while. I still have mouse ptsd. Anyway that’s my yukky mouse story, and like you Carlos, I would have checked the bed.
Arne, you said another ‘Arne-ism’, that is a tshirt worthy slogan, ‘I’m soooo over it!’ 😂 I think I have said that at least a couple of times already this year 😉
Wishing you both a fabulous 2024. Big hugs from Australia ❤
I was laughing so hard about the little mouse! What an enjoyable video, you guys are born entertainers. I would love to be a part of one of the discussions that you do. Hope you come to California soon!
Happy New Year from NC, USA! The mouse-New Years celebration was so funny, I couldn't stop laughing!!! What a start to 2024...
