- We all need buildings where we can work, learn, live, shelter and heal. Architectural engineers are the creative engineers that specialize in making buildings healthy, safe, and energy efficient. At The University of Texas at Austin, architectural engineers learn to design sustainable, healthy, and structurally resilient buildings of the future.
I'll be an architect
OBS! arcitecture and architectural engineering is not the same thing!
Same here
hmmm lets see what i become
😍😍😍😍
I feel like I’m going to be unemployed as an architectural engineer, who is going to hire me over civil engineers
You’re as important in the field as the civil engineer. Don’t compare yourself to a civil engineer, but to an architect. You have the higher ground there. Cause there wouldn’t be coming back and forth between the architect and the civil/electric/mechanical engineers since you already know what you’re doing. Engineering architects have a better chance than architects.
They are two completely different things though. You can work in solar, you can work at MEP firms. You can go get your masters in civil with focus on structural OR get one in electrical. You can get licensed as an architect and be a huge benefit to a firm if in house. There's so many possibilities. Civil just focuses on some structural, road, transportation, sewer, etc. They don't study these things exclusive to buildings.
Civil engineers are more in demand but you’ll get hired just as easy as long as u can explain your profession since most people don’t know this exists
