My review of the BPS Knives HK5. BPS knives are made in Ukraine, the edges are finished by hand and arrive very sharp. The 5.1 inch Scandi ground blade excels at slicing meat, making shavings, carving, notching, and the spine is good for striking a firesteel. At only $30 this knife offers good value for the money. A list of their full range of knives is included in the text description box, along with Mora and other bushcraft and camp knife options. Enjoy :]
Just got my BPS HK5 from Amazon Prime. What can I say! EXCELLENT knife for the price! The sheath is heavy duty leather that smells fantastic. Mine is black. I think some are brown. TRULY RAZOR SHARP. Blade had a light oil coating to protect it from rust. Perfectly ground with zero defects. The handle is also perfect with no gaps. VERY sharp 90° spine. Sharpest blade and spine I have ever got on a knife!! I think you could get sparks off the extended tang also. I would recommend this knife to anyone.
Excellent! I'm glad you got in on this and are pleased with the knife, I knew you would be :]
thanks for showcasing these more affordable options man, always look forward to these & quite informative ! have a good one !!
My pleasure!
HRC tested my knives bought from Amazon and got under 50 hrc when 57-59 was advertised. Great review man.
Oh yeah!! More Ukrainian knives! Glory to Ukraine! Thank you for the video!
I got one of these after seeing it here, and am looking at another one of their offerings as well. This channel probably influences my knife buying more than any other.
I'm glad you picked one up! I've had so many reports from people who own this, all positive :]
Just got a HK5 carbon, what a fantastic knife, love the finger grooves, bloody hell is the blade sharp!! Cheers for the video 👍🏻
Congrats on getting a great knife!
Making a pointed stick? You are CRAZY!!! This is the reason I subscribed. ( actually, another great review brother)
Thank you, my brotha!
Thank you for the enjoyable review had a bps knife but I just ordered the hot and a few more mostly due to this review
Excellent, I have their model BS3FTS coming soon.
Definitely going to look into getting a couple BPS knives. They look like they pack alot of capability for your money. Thanks for the awesome review, buddy.
Thank you for watching, my friend :]
Just bought two knifes including this one today, can't waiting for delivery. Thanks for review bro.
Excellent! Just got my second BPS knife, new review coming soon :]
BPS make some crazy good knives
I’ve been looking at the Bushcraft one with the fero sheath amazing value. 40 pounds in 🇬🇧 Uk
Thnxs 4 uploading 💯 🇺🇸
Great job sifu. It is great value for the money. My fear is that over time their prices will go up. So grab them now.
That is true, you never know when war will start over in that area, get 'em while they're hot.
I got myself one.
It is slightly warped.
You can tell it's basic.
The sheath has no plastic insert but should(like Buck ones).
But the sheath is beautifully made... it comes razor sharp.
The steel they are using is good knife steel despite what people who have $400 for a knife will tell you.
Definitely worth the 30 or 40 dollars you're going to pay for it and then some.
Appreciate the links in the description bx 👍✌
Welcome, my friend!
Informative and entertaining. Thanks
I like these traditional looking knives, i just wish it had a brown sheath.
A finely crafted knife bro!
Interesting vid. Thanks. For the average person, or even the average knife guy like me, I can get all the knife I’ll ever need for around $25 or less if I don’t need a leather sheath. I like my lt Wright knives just fine but I wouldn’t call them a high value item. I appreciate your efforts in exploring value oriented products.
Thank you, good sir!
Hey Thanks for the info on this blade I just picked it up on a lighting deal on amazon for $25 ----
Great score!
Great Review thanks
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
That thing is a light saber lol holy shite sharp. Yeah I'm not a huge fan of finger grooves but have a place in certain situations lol.👊💀
You finnaly took my advice and got a bps knive... I have 12 of them.. They are an addiction like moras
Sure are! I'm glad I picked one up!
@@WeAllJuggleKnives i just need to tell you, your hilarious.. Even managed to make my wife laugh when she walked in on a video where you were talking about wifes walking in on you watching a guy on UA-cam cutting things... It was true inception
Superb video
Thanks, bro!
I like your quick introduction of yourself on camera. It doesn't seem to match the picture I get in my mind of the voice vs. image. Thank you for the quick reset of my perception.
I'm sure I sound more friendly than I look :D
If you allow me i would recomnend argentinian kives yarara brand. Great channel greetings from argentina👍👍👍
Great review . Looks like a good value! I love the walnut scales.
Glad you dig it!
Thinking of buying this knife today but I wanted to watch a few videos before I commitc
Wise idea, it is a solid knife for a good price :]
I have the small 20 dollar knife and it is a good knife with a sharp blade. Not a fan of finger grooves. Still think the Mora 2000 has the best handle for non tactical stuff.
Yeah Moras are tough to beat!
I just ordered one because of your review! Has a funky looking choil. Other than that and all the reviews I read seems to be an excellent deal. Thanks.
Amazon does have them. Mine will be here in 2 days.
Excellent! Glad you picked one up. Yeah, I think maybe Amazon Canada ran out of them, but hopefully US Amazon will hold strong :D
Beautiful knife (blade shape, wood handle, full tang) and great price! Not very familiar with 1066 steel though.
I own several BPS, 1066 is impressive.
It's similar to 5160 spring steel.
Have you've ever tried crossbows? I'd suggest the Cobra Adder and the Cold Steel Cheap Shot! And they're 2 of the best on the market!
I'm interested in crossbows, especially now that CS came out with that one, and I've seen some multi-shot models being introduced. They will become a good item to have as firearms keep getting restricted.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives So true bro! I'd also suggest the UMAREX home defense guns 🔫 that C02 powered but the guns can be modified for almost the stopping power of a firearm and they can shoot paintball pepper 🌶balls hard rubber balls and special hot glue slugs injected into a mold called a slug-maker for my information. I'd suggest the Rune Rebel channel 😉.
WOW! nice knife for the money :)
The linked BPS HK5 knife is already sold out on Amazon. The impulse purchase sensation was fun while it lasted. lol
Dang LOL. Well hopefully people find some of the other models equally tempting.
Actually, I think they still do have this model, the other model called the Adventurer is sold out though.
I actually just got a BPS knives leather sheath for the mora companion it works great I recommend it
Awesome, their sheaths and the sharpening kit they sell look very handy!
It's capable of completing punji sticks. Sold. All jokes aside.. this seems like a great deal for a 10xx Carbon Steel series of steel. I was honestly expecting an 8Cr13MoV series of steel for this price point, which is junk steel. This seems like a steal for this chunk of steel !
I'm glad you like it! Yeah the steel is good, easy to keep sharp, and it came with plenty of oil on it to prevent rust in transit.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives I want to get one & put a forced patina on it with vinegar for a camp knife. This thing seems like a solid deal for sure!
I'm really curious how many points does the grip tape add on your beater stick. You most be in double digits with all those manly stakes you carved out.
I agree, readings are off the scale :]
@@WeAllJuggleKnives really enjoyed all your videos keep up the great work.
It's very refreshing to see someone actually use a knife. Instead of telling you I should spend a fortune on something they never cut anything with.
I'm really getting to be a fan of these BPS knives. I have the adventurer really it's a great weekend bushcraft knife. I have a hard time justifying $200 or more for a camping knife. I guess if I wanted a survival knife I'd spend more but a rat 7 is still only like$75 .
Anyway I got off topic really enjoy your content could you do another chopper video between American design and kukri I really like that one kukri you did a video on. GGK I have their sirupate but I think I want that 12in super fast kukri. Or do you think a bowie say sp5 is better
What's all this about notches? Why would you go and do a thing like that?
For the glory!
Amazing value, how could you not get one?
For sure. I am always on the lookout for gear that we don't know we need until we see it :]
great time to get knives from Ukraine 🤙
Is it a true scandi or does it have a v edge bevel? Thank you as always for your great reviews 👍
To me it looks like a true scandi, I can't see any edge bevel.
Sweet thanks! Just ordered one, should come in handy for an upcoming camping trip :D
You'll like it! Sounds like a great time!
Its actually a hand finished scandivex... Its truly a scary sharp and very strong edge
@@shawnpepin7890 thanks for clarifying. It should sharpen up pretty easy matching the scandi bevel on a diamond plate right?
Informative and funny👍
PS: nice forearm muscles
Thanks, buddy!
Note to self, make caveman club or mallet.
Dude you are looking lean and mean💪
Thank you, I have been doing a homebrew exercise and nutrition program.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives Yeah, nice work. You don’t need crazy equipment, just consistency and lots of protein.
Protein is definitely vital, eggs, collagen, and smoked whitefish from the farmer's market are my favorites.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives Agreed, I had under-consumed protein for years, but it really does make a big difference. The collagen is great too. On days when I don’t get enough meat or fish, whey and collagen fill the gaps. Low testosterone is also something to watch out for (If you want to check, keep in mind that it’s lowest when dieting, regardless of protein intake. Sleep deprivation is another common cause of low testosterone). Starting TRT is the best thing I’ve ever done (my testosterone was low, even in my 20’s).
This scheat black lidle nore quality....
A kydex option would be good.
Can’t have too many vampire stakes laying around
Yes. I have taught you well.
All gone off amazon
What country are you in?

This is just a cheap black heart knives gunner 10 clone.
Nah. They both have handle grooves, so I can see how you would think that, but the blades are a lot different. Black Heart Knives do put out some great custom knives though, they gave me a Valkyrie to try out and it was amazing.
I'm pretty sure I saw your review of that it was great .but jeez they look similar
I hear you my friend, I hate China cloners too, but BPS is definitely not like that, I promise :]
I wasn't trying to suggest it was malicious. (May have presented it that way ) chrs for the replys love the content
