Great video! Thank you for helping all of us get a solid start at working with gravity forms on my WordPress site. I'm trying to create a sort of singer's personality test. Think Meyers-Briggs in that there are multiple combinations of characteristics and no right or wrong answers. In order to prevent the test taker from identifying a pattern, I want to present different statements and allocate points to 4 particular categories based on how they score their response in the likely scale. The goal would be for the individual to submit their responses and then receive a description of their dominant voice type. I can't seem to figure how to "pointify" the responses, but if you have any information on how to do that, I would greatly appreciate it. Best, Erik :)
Thanks for the video I was really hoping it would show me how to get a total score for the survey instead of just seeing the individual question scores
Hi Tina, To get the total score follow the instructions on this page: docs.gravityforms.com/using-calculations/ Basically you add another number field, enable calculations on that field and enter all the fields you’re adding up. I hope that helps, let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!
Hey there, Thanks for the nice tutorial! I know this video is a little out of date, but is there a way to categorize the questions on a Gravity Forms survey so that the results can be displayed by category? I've heard others mention that, but can't find any way to do that.
Hi John, Sorry for the delay in responding. The video isn't out-of-date as far as I know, it should all work the same way. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "display results by category". But what you can do is score the results with a calculation field. You can have multiple calculations fields (one for each of your categories) that add up the scores for questions you define. Then display the score by category on the page. I don't know of an automatic way to do this. I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hi. I am looking for a way to do quiz or survey (so many different names for it and i get confused) that there would be a question and 4 possible answers below. each question would have a new site and at the end of example 5 questions there would be a form a costumer would have to fill out in order to get the answers. how do i do that? i would like to integrate with mailchimp if possible. As a teacher i need to see the answers in order to answer. Of course it would be fabouls if i could standarnize the answers based on the answers i get, but i think that sounds just a lot of money to do, cause its out of my league, but i am open to learn, if i can.
HI I am looking to show people their score after the assessment is completed. Each answer is scored Never=0, Sometimes=1, Always=2, ect. Am I able to show a score by adding merge tags? Here is my code in the Confirmation message: Part 1: {quiz_score:id=1} Part 2: {quiz_score:id=19} Part 3: {quiz_score:id=28} Part 4: {quiz_score:id=36} Your total score: {quiz_score} It works but then I want to add/calculate their score within each Part. So I want to add, Part 1: {quiz_score:id=1} through {quiz_score:id=11} and have it calculate that score. Is this possible?
Hi Samantha, it is. You'll need to use the gravity forms calculation field. It's built right into the main plugin. I think it's a field option on the right when building a form. You can even have their scores displayed on a webpage by adding the merge tag to a redirect URL as a parameter and then using JavaScript to put the score on the page. I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hi Kevin, In the configuration settings for the survey you should be able to check "display results after submission". That will show an aggregate of survey entries. If that option isn't available for surveys, then it's only for polls. I know it's in Gravity Forms Polls for sure. I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
does gravity survey allow for conditional logic?
can you please show the demo for heatmap survey

Do you know if there's a way to display all the results to the customer once the survey has been submitted?

Thanks for the reply! I'll see how it works on my next project and report back.
