2 months back I bought a 1997 2.7 4x4 tacoma with 20k on odo from a collector. Warehouse stored and damn flawless. Paid 26k and drove it home after new tires installed. Timmy C Arizona

I had an 84 SR5 x-tra cab in black for 17 years. Make my day. Sell me her. So Pristine I felt as though I am in a time warp. Still remember when I picked her up in NJ and drove her home to Brooklyn. The 22-R engine went after 174k miles thanks to me foolishly listening to a friend and added Marvel Mystery Oil to stop a valve tap. Never should have donated her to charity. Best damn truck I ever owned. Message me for a sale. Wow!!
Hi Gerard this one was a super well kept one owner truck, like you said, it feels you are in a time wrap. Happy it got you great memories. I agree with you these are great trucks. We bought it last year and it already sold for $46K and it’s part of a car collection now. These one had 72k original miles and the dealer that sold it to us in Seattle did a great job adding the light bars and tires. But it looks like you just got it from the dealership in 1985.
174k miles isn’t much in these trucks I know someone that has one 1991 that has over 500k miles on the original engine and transmission and runs great. 🤯. These trucks are almost inmortal 😂. Thanks for sharing your story with your 84 SR5 x-tra cab. If you still have the vin number for it, maybe you can google it online and track you old truck, you never know it may be for sale somewhere. Does anyone know if these trucks came with factory limited slip or posi track differentials in the front or rear? Or if it was optional from the factory? Or were they all open diffs front and rear regardless of trim level or factory options?

Not sure about the color code. It was repainted in the original grey. It is the OEM for sure. You couldn’t distinguish the difference between the outside and the engine bay. It looked like a brand new truck. Thanks for watching
