After almost 12 years started going to the nets every Sunday since last couple of months and have noticed that i am not able to tackle the inswinger. The balls are hitting the pads or the boots more often than not and then i found your videos... Honestly, took me some time to get in sync at the age if 37 all over again but the best part is you make them so very easy when you explain them. Great work Sid... Kudos!! Subscribed and will definitely share with my mates.
Excellent sir...Coaches hammer young batters to point their right foot toe towards point , stay side on and play without opening their right shoulder. This makes young batters to take leg stump guard and play only on the off side. The moment they have to play a close ball on their legs they struggle, They develop a blind spot . After watching this video , me and my son tried this out from 8 yards , then 15 yard hard throw then progressed to bowling. Your teaching really made it simple. When my son followed through after hitting an on drive, i heard his coach saying Be careful...You might get run out if you don't find the gaps. But finally on drive became simple , credit goes to you sir...Thank you so much.
Its all about the condition angle of bowler ..some Times you can play a fourth stump ball to mid wicket and some time y won't be able to play leg stump ball to the on side.
In india we need coaches like you sir , here very few coaches are loyal towards their coaching others are just doing it for sake of money. Especially, in Mumbai
I wish every aspiring cricketer gets a coach like you. Your way of teaching is really awesome. This is your first video which came to me as a random recommendation in UA-cam and I literally became your fan by just watching this first video. Hatts of sir♥️♥️
The most majestic shot in cricket, the on drive off the back foot off of fast bowler..NO ONE HAS PLAYED THAT SHOT since John Turner kiwi opener.. I think Labuchange has it.
Wow! We used to play that shot naturally because when you play against a decent bowler with a cork ball, you have to play that shot to or break the toe as we had only one pad!! Good explanation but the guy is opening the face of the bar all wrong half the time.
There is only one technique See the ball hit the ball Ball reaches the batsman in fraction of second, where is the time to think where foot is going, where head is going Forget all that, just make sure ball hits the middle of bat Many players like dhoni, de Villiers, chanderpaul, Smith didn't follow any coaching manual yet they were successful
I'm an American, and I'm fascinated by cricket. And I've watched hundreds of videos. But, I've spent a life time of playing baseball. I just can't seem to get this game. I mean, I don't understand how it works. If you hit the ball you don't have to run, but if the ball hits you, your out? I would love for someone to explain the rules so I understand them. That way when I watch a cricket match I can fully understand what I'm seeing.
And also I've seen a lot of cricket matches where most of the defense men are behind the batter. What I've figured out so far, the pitcher is trying to hit the wickets, and the batter is trying to stop him. If the ball hits you in front of the wickets your out? But if you hit the ball your not out, but you don't have to run? What if the ball won't hit the wickets or the batter, what happens then? I really like this game, but I'm like a 5 year old. I have no understanding of it. Can you explain in to me?
I have also figured out what a 6 is. I've seen a lot of videos of guys hitting 6's. It's like a home run in baseball. And I think I have also figured out, the number you score after all the batsmen our out, you have to score that number or more in the same number of pitches to win. Is that correct? But what if the pitcher throughs the ball wild, does that count against the number of pitches?
What I'm trying to say is I don't really understand the bare bones of the game. I know hitting the ball and someone catches it your out. And if your caught between the lines and someone knocked off the wickets your out. My biggest question is the game against the pitcher and batter. For example,... If you stepped away from the wickets, and swing wildly at everything? How would that work?
@@aaronlovell6026 hi bro... just watch this video... if you love baseball.. then you will definitely love cricket.. it is more skillful than baseball to be honest. ua-cam.com/video/M5MD5i6VpYQ/v-deo.html
Cricket is not a theory...its a practical when he is going to play lots of cricket he will come to know he strength and weekness so dont want any coaching let him to play many balls
karthik nano Karthik , I agree with you , however please understand if the game was so easy the word learning would have disappeared. We have to learn from someone and then find our own methods . That’s exactly what we are doing
abhishek mahadik It is not too technical Abhishek . It’s just method of playing and building your muscle memory. Off course it’s a total game of instincts and SiR Viv the greatest example of that .
sirji i m right hand batsman. problem is my back leg does not move and i find difficult to play the ball that r litte away from off stick.how can i improve my footwork.
My personal suggestion is that you first move your back leg towards stumps besfore the ball pitches just like kohli does this will help you a lot playing short balls
YES YOU RIGHT BUT IF YOU LISTEN CAREFULLY TO THE VIDEO THE COACH IS ASKING HIM TO TAKE OFF HIS LEFT LEG PAD SO THAT HE WILL HAVE TO PLAY DELIBERATELY TO SAVE HIS LEFT LEG TO THE BALLS COMING TOWARDS HIM AND PLAY THE ON DRIVE

How do you play an on side shot? This was a defensive shot but how you hit a boundary on the leg side if someone pitches there please?
Awesome coach
Savtri Buriuly
Thank you
He is a right handed batsman and wearing pads on the right leg :D
YES YOU RIGHT BUT IF YOU LISTEN CAREFULLY TO THE VIDEO THE COACH IS ASKING HIM TO TAKE OFF HIS LEFT LEG PAD SO THAT HE WILL HAVE TO PLAY DELIBERATELY TO SAVE HIS LEFT LEG TO THE BALLS COMING TOWARDS HIM AND PLAY THE ON DRIVE
The motive was to increase the batsman's alertness, to save himself from the ball coming onto his leg
