@@N55SFH no, because I value my life to much to risk losing it because some idiot wants to show off in front of a camera, most of them can't even drive/ride round a bloody hairpin properly. Seen too many accidents up Hartside over the years from people thinking they are a better driver/rider than they are and their inflated ego getting them in trouble and usually dragging some other poor fucker into it as well. But hey, I don't ride Hartside anymore because I'm old and can't keep up.
@@nix-7771 no doubt people drive dangerously up there but I’ve been going up once a month every month for 2 years or so, I’ve seen 1 crash and other than that never felt unsafe, it’s easy to point fingers when you, as you admit, don’t have the experience of being up there
@@N55SFH I've been riding up Hartside for the past twenty years, seen a fair few crashes, cars and bikes and also nearly been taken out myself by cars and bikes coming round a corner on the wrong side of the road. Just decided it's not worth it anymore, plus knowing there is a camera up there every Sunday just makes people worse I think, or maybe I'm just getting old and sensible 🤔
Because most of us who drive there have done this roads several times so we know where to break and where to accelerate and where not to take risks. Is loads of visibility in both directions that’s why some use the whole road to turn I try always to stay on my line even if I have space and mark a correct turn leaning the bike correctly . They way bikers take that corner shows the level of experience
09:55 - a guy on an M1000R, with aero winglets - with his leg out at 10mph !!! 😆 Not many look up the hill before cutting the corner either........
9:58 has a M1000rr but is afraid of a corner
I'd almost forgotten why i don't ride up Hartside anymore, then i watched a few of these videos
Because you can’t keep up?

Why are they on the wrong side of the road? It’s not a racetrack if you cross the centreline you’re past your skill level
Not if you can see the roads clear ahead. Perfectly safe if so😂
How there are no head on collisions on this corner is beyond me 🤦
