Yup. No passion, just narcissism and money. The expected standard is 1 minute from order to oven, nobody seems to care that it looks like crap. Actually pretty easy to do in a minute, and not make it look bad, but to this guy, speed=money. He should teach a class on "How to make customers never call you again".

I take about 1:30 to slap a pizza and top it. And it really irritated me when my manager told me, "you know how to make good pizzas, now worry more about your speed" and I said, "isn't quality better than quantity" and she really told me no, that their load time and delivery time is more important. I'm currently looking for another part time job, that type of mentality is ridiculous.
What you don't understand is the pizza will come out the same if he goes slow or fast. I work at a pizza place and I'm just about as good as this guy and once you get good at slappin the dough out its basically the same every time.
