Idris is a AMAZING actor so hopefully being in a blockbuster get's him more roles (would love to see him take over as a new 007 myself) and they just said fuck it went way over the camp with 4 amazing fun, well known actors. Just looks "fun."
Tokyo Drift is one of my favorite movies period. The speech that Han gives the American (forgot his name) on the roof top about life is really deep. That scene with the chick talking about drifting in Japan while drifting down a mountain road is just magical. The races, the drifting, the cinematography....all amazing! Tokyo Drift is a great movie about Japanese drift culture and the painful journey to self awareness and social acceptance as well as what it's like to b the "outsider". Also it's a cool backstory/side story for one of FF's main "family" members.

One of the reasons why "Fast and Furious" was put in the advertising is because both characters are from that franchise, they are not original characters. So, they're letting people know that this is happening within the same universe.

Tyrese character is better than the rocks character in these movies for sure. The rocks character is just there for extra muscle.
If that were true, Tyrese's character wouldn't have traded personalities twice within the same franchise. Dude's replaceable.
aarswft all the characters besides vin diesel, Paul Walker and both their gfs are replaceable tbh. But tyrese character was better in these movies the rocks character only came in when they started putting big fight sequences into the movie and the rock in fast 5 was good I liked him but he didn’t really need to join the team. And Jason’s character has no right helping and being friendly with the team after he killed Han like wtf up with that
I'm pretty sure The Rock, Jason and Elba had a lot of fun with this shit haha

The fast and furious franchise changed for the better. Racing movies are NOT interesting to the masses and the studios knew if they wanted to make some serious money, changes needed to be made. Every Fast and Furious movie after number four has made fucktons of money. The last 2 are billion dollar hits. They're popcorn fun action movies and that's what I like and enjoy about them. Hobbs and Shaw is taking that franchise to a whole new level and I can't wait to see it!
