Well this is like a MOVIE 🤩 you guys show some places I as an Irish person have never been too so are absolutely going on the bucket list! Thank you for the amazing itinerary 💚
As a way of saying thank you for developing this fantastic itinerary, my wife and I like to imagine you using this token of appreciation to enjoy an amazing Irish Breakfast, like the one we enjoyed near the Westport Bay at the Creel. We had the Irish Meat Hash with an extra fried egg, and split the dish. Paired with a flat white for me and a Fluffy Bunny for my wife, this was a great meal to stoke us up for our drive to Kylemore Abbey. Or maybe you can enjoy a quiet lunch at an out of the way cafe. The Kingfisher Kitchen in Enniskerry village in Wicklow county is something we would recommend if you ever make it over towards Powerscourt Estate - the waterfall there is amazing. Of course you might also might prefer using this for a dinner in one of the local pubs. After our day in Glenveagh National Park, we enjoyed the drive to Dungloe where McCafferty's served us delicious fresh mussels from Killybegs and a Seafood Pie paired with Guinness to put a nice bow on a lovely day. Your video informed and inspired us. Thanks again.
Thank you SO MUCH for this! We are so happy we were able to help you plan your trip - sounds like you had amazing time and we will definitely treat ourselves to a nice Irish breakfast soon 😊 Much appreciated! Mark & Asya
Great video! Thank you! 😊I'll be travelling around Ireland with my son for 7 weeks in May/June with our camper van, driving all the way from Germany. Taking all the tips I can get to see some awesome sites.🤩
I love Ireland!! My wife and I went there last April for ten days and we rented a car and traveled west to Gortahork at our airbnb. Traveled south for a week! That was my first time being in Ireland! I dream about everyday! It’s truly my favorite place in the world!! Thank you for the video! God bless you two!
Your video was my inspiration for collaborating with my wife on our 13-day visit to Ireland. I am recommending it to everyone. What a fantastic resource. Recently retired, in reasonably good shape, but by no means are we serious hikers, we were able to enjoy daily 1 to 2 hour hikes at many of the sites, while fitting in visits to castles, cathedrals, abbeys, loughs and glens. We stayed at 8 different Air BnB sites, ranging from a guest room in a Dublin townhouse, to a condo in Belfast, to a stay on a working sheep farm in County Donegal, and working dairy farm in County Waterford. Anyone going to Ireland, should in my opinion, follow your advice and get a car and travel around as much as possible. A few amazing spots for others to consider: The Gobbins Sea Cliff walk in Northern Ireland, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge near the Causeway which by the way has some fantastic trails - it so much more than just the amazing causeway, Poisen Glen, just down the road from Glenveagh National Park (a road side pull off), Kylemore Abbey, County Galway, Muckross Abbey in Killarney National Park, Mahon Falls, County Waterford - really off the beaten path, reminded me of the rugged beauty of County Donegal, Rock of Cashel, Kilkenny which is home to two beautiful cathedrals (St. Mary's and St. Candice's), an amazing castle, a vibrant city center with a lovely river walk. We also made it to Waterford, Ireland's oldest city, and home to several museums in the Viking Triangle. The museum near the Spanish Arch in Galway is free, and also worth a visit, as is the humble Irish Folk Village and Famine Museum near the Rock of Cashel. Since we visited in early September, we decided to take a counter clockwise route, going from Dublin to Belfast to Donegal to Sligo to Galway to Kerry to Waterford to Wicklow to Dubin. We loved the trip and wish we had the resources to return again soon. We loved the Glenveagh Glen Hike. The food at the cafe was amazing, and reasonably priced. Thanks again for your educational and inspirational video. Well done and very much appreciated. Fellow Travelers - don't miss the French Bakery in Killarney, and for a similar experience, checkout the CakeFace cafe in Kilkenny.
I was excited about planning a trip to Ireland until I started watching videos posted by travelers visiting Ireland. I was presented with only the souvenir shops and pubs, the former being of no interest to me. Your videos have me excited again. You are authentic and are not a mere clueless traveler with an iPhone.
The usual places are heavily promoted by Tourism Ireland. Kerry, Clare, Galway, Kilkenny, Dublin, Belfast and the Causeway coast. These places are beautiful but you need to explore and not just visit the Instagram locations (Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher, Giant’s Causeway etc.) Tourists come here unaware that there’s anything else to see. The entire north west might as well not exist.
Really? I have just binge-watched dozens of Ireland videos and found a huge variety of different scenery, historical sites, and many different places of interest. Even the videos in the margin beside this video are full of different points of interest in Ireland. None of them talk about souvenir shops. ❤
i felt this, i’m planning a trip to ireland right now and everyone keeps asking what I want to do in ireland and mentions pubs, tourist attractions, etc but i just wanna go see their national parks and outdoor scenic spots.
This was genuinely the best and most informative video I’ve watched in a long time! It was crafted perfectly and it gave me SO much to look forward to. Will be following for sure!
This is by far one of the best videos I’ve seen and has completely sold us on ensuring we see some of these amazing areas that make up a true Ireland experience. You guys are great
Wonderful vid/editing/info!! Unfortunately, we only have 6 days in Dublin. We're not drinkers and we don't hike due to being seniors. What would you recommend? We can't wait to see the Emerald Isle!
Loved this video! I plan to travel to Ireland in a year and I am in love with the scenery you have shown. I have subscribed to your channel but don’t see a video about packing. As I watch your video, I am thinking backpack and shoes and jackets and oh my,.. what else? I would LOVE to see a video about your packing process. Thanks again! I will be watching all of your other videos for sure! ❤
Fair play on including Mayo! It is a gorgeous county. And coming from a Galway woman that says alot 😅 Heading to Donegal soon with our van and really enjoyed yer video on Donegal too. Thanks guys!
Thank you for all your Ireland content! Just wrapped a 2-week long vacation and went to a lot of the places you have recommended. I visited the Portacloy Cliffs because of this video where I proposed to my now fiancée. Cheers!
This video was absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I'm so excited for planning our road trip in Ireland next year :) not sure if you mentioned it but what time of year did you go? We were thinking late May so that we can take the boat out to Skellig!
I love what you had to say at 7:00 about creating an off the beaten path itinerary. I'm traveling to Ireland in a couple weeks for a group tour that goes to the "Hidden Northwest" and you've hit a lot of the same places we'll be going. I love that we're going to see things that not a lot of people get to see. Of course, I'll also be spending a few nights in Dublin and Galway apart from the rest of the group, but I'm most excited about that week we're hitting Sligo, Sliabh Liag, Glenveagh, and Letterkenny. Cheers!
What a great video. We are planning a trip next May, 2025. Would love you to consider recommending hotels and restaurants along with educational content❤
Fantastic video - I had planned to this itinerary (ie circle the ireland entirely) but I was wondering if I was wasting my time going off the beaten track... this is cool that it's worth it! Thanks
Beautiful footage! I might be spending the summer in Westport, I just watched a cheesy romcom called “irish wish” with lindsey lohan that happened to be filmed there lol! But I’m hoping to be able to hit atleast some of these spots during my summer there. Do you guys do any water sports in ireland? I’m big on kayaking
Thank you for the great video. We were in Ireland March 2024. We absolutely loved it. I'm planning our next trip and you added a few stops to our trip. As for the best guinness in Ireland Taffes Galway and Matt Molloys Westport.
If you don’t mind me asking how was the weather for you in March? Did you get some blue skies? Was it cloudy everyday or what was it like? We are planning right now for March of 2025… also thinking about doing the trip over St. Patrick’s Day
Thank you for this lovely video! Ireland looks so beautiful. I would love to see all these places. Unfortunately, I won’t have two weeks in Ireland. I will be in Ireland for only one week road trip in August. What are the non-negotiable must see/do from this list? Thank you!
Thank you! ☺️💚☘️We would suggest driving from Dublin to visit the Cliffs of Moher and staying the night in Galway. Squeeze in visits to places in Mayo, such as Downpatrick Head, and enjoy a viewpoint of Benbulben on the way to Slieve League. After that, we'll explore the most authentic places in North Donegal on our journey to Giant's Causeway. Hope it helps, enjoy 😍☘️
I am so grateful to you both for your suggestions- thank you! I am looking forward to my visit to Ireland. Wishing you both wonderful travels as you create more memories together
Your video was our favorite of all the ones we watched and we will pretty much follow it exactly! Thank you for all the locations and food suggestions, helpful when planning. Any favorite places you stayed on your route?
Love your video and presentation of the 2 weeks trip. Hi, we are planning to visit Ireland in the late December til early January. Also we are looking at motorhome as our primary transportation. We would like to plan our itineraries around your location and What’s your advice on the driving experience in that period. Thanks very much.
Fantastic video! It’s actually what helped us decide to visit, so thank you! Question, I noticed you didn’t mention the blarney castle, or west cork, is it too touristy? Not worth it? Kind of got that vibe from some of my research. Just wanted your thoughts. Thanks!
Thank you! ❤️ West Cork is beautiful but a bit difficult to get to, so we couldn’t include it in this 2-week itinerary. As for Blarney Castle, it’s quite touristy, and we’ve included other castles in this itinerary instead☺️
That’s an awesome video and recommendations. Did you book accommodations in advance or just when you arrived and what are best? B&Bs , hotels, airbnbs?
Hi, thank you! ☺️ B&Bs are the way to go - cheaper than hotels but just as comfortable. It's best to book in advance to secure better deals. Ireland can be quite expensive, so planning ahead is key to saving money. Enjoy ☘️
This looks absolutely gorgeous. You guys did an amazing job showcasing the beautiful countryside that Ireland has to offer. We are planning to do a trip in 2025 and were wondering when it would be the greenest. Any month in particular that you would recommend?
Thank you ☺️ It's green all year round (fields) except for the cliffs and national parks, which turn green in May-making it a great time to visit. September is perfect as well, as it's usually dry, warm and not too touristy. Enjoy!
thank you for the video... i will say because it was labeled as "road trip" i assumed it would be more inclusive of the little towns and their food or shopping options that make them unique... instead it was basically hiking and cliffs. dont get me wrong, i enjoy cliffs... and occasional hikes....... but for a video mentioning 2 week road trip... i was not expecting it to be only about hikes and cliffs lol
This is awesome! Random question, are there any catholic churches or venues you would recommend for a small wedding (30 people)? I would so appreciate any recommendations.
Hi! Thank you 😊 Ireland is actually quite strict on marriages - you have to give 3 months notice to the state and usually catholic priests will only marry people from the local area - they’re also likely to be very busy and booked out well in advance! We hope you find a loophole 😅💍
Absolutely stunning video! Thank you :-). Can I just ask, are these places dog friendly, as in are dogs allowed in pubs and are there dog friendly hotels? Thanks so much 🙂
Driving a right hand drive car worries me. I am fine with a manual shift but turning corners scares me. 😅 Another option? Like a bus or rail pass? Thanks
Ok I have a question, we will be flying into Shannon on Halloween and we will be staying 2 nights in Limerick, after that we don't have anything booked. The reason is because we didn't want to be tied down, if we found a place we really liked , we might want to stay longer or vice versa and didn't want to always be rushing trying to get to our room. Is that a stupid idea 😂. Do you think it will be to hard book as we go? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
We usually advise booking in advance because it’s cheaper and there are more options to choose from. However, since you are traveling during the off-season, it might be a good idea to book as you go. This way, you can adjust your itinerary according to the weather🌧️ Good luck ☘️
Do you have a website with a pdf version of this guide for sale? There are so many good tips in the video but I’d love something to help me book travel!
Hi guys. Loved your videos and now a subscriber. We are planning to come and spend 2-3 weeks at the end of March, beginning of April. A little concerned about the weather (we're Australian). How does travelling in winter impact travelling in Ireland? Thanks
Hi, im an englishman from the north west of england, ide love to visit Ireland one day as I think it's a beautiful country. Im a little nervous about visiting as I know England and Ireland have a lot of bad history, will most locals be okay with me over there? If it helps, im half Scottish and I hate the British government as well. :D
There are lots of English people in Ireland and I’d like to think we are friendly to everyone… You might be the brunt of some jokes but apart from that you will be fine 😂 Enjoy!!!
Im trying to get in touch with anyonein Ireland that has high Connections there to seek out my family Ancestry of TheFamily Hardiman's And Kelly's . Please if anyome knows anything rwaxh out and get in touch
Loved this video! I‘m Irish but still haven’t been to most of these places 😂

Well this is like a MOVIE 🤩 you guys show some places I as an Irish person have never been too so are absolutely going on the bucket list! Thank you for the amazing itinerary 💚

Do you have to go past a check point when going into the UK Northern Ireland area?
@@burntieburntwell No 😊
This is a great video. And best of all, really practical. We've a great country!!
We agree! ☘️💚
Great video. West Cork is also worth a video in itself
Thank you 😊 We’ve heard it’s nice down there! A bit too far of a stretch for this itinerary though 😆
@@SomethingToRemember West Cork is so underrated, it's spectacular.
Amazing 😍 the footage is beautiful guys
Ah thanks so much☺️❤️
Ireland is stunning! It never ceases to amaze us. Moving here was the best decision we ever made. The people are second to none.
It is indeed! Where did you move?

Wow amazing video, thank you for all the great suggestions! We’re planning a trip for 2025, any recommendations for a car rental company?

We actually didn’t count the kilometres, sorry 😅
Is driving the best way to get around? Can you hire cars/or any tours you recommend for people who dont want to drive?

Hi guys. Loved your videos and now a subscriber. We are planning to come and spend 2-3 weeks at the end of March, beginning of April. A little concerned about the weather (we're Australian). How does travelling in winter impact travelling in Ireland? Thanks
Thank you ❤️ While the weather isn’t always perfect, you can still get a lot of dry and sunny days! Horn Head was filmed in March 😊
@@SomethingToRemember thanks for the quick reply mate.
Prepare to be old in March/April. Also wet! As compensation, your trip will be less expensive.
June /July can be as wet😅
Can I fly my drone? Or need to take permission from local authorities
Is that sweatshirt in honor of the Bengals football team? ❤️
If you want it to be! 😅
As we say in Dublin your mot is fine 🙂
Never heard that before - definitely not a Donegalism 😅
Hi, im an englishman from the north west of england, ide love to visit Ireland one day as I think it's a beautiful country. Im a little nervous about visiting as I know England and Ireland have a lot of bad history, will most locals be okay with me over there? If it helps, im half Scottish and I hate the British government as well. :D
There are lots of English people in Ireland and I’d like to think we are friendly to everyone… You might be the brunt of some jokes but apart from that you will be fine 😂 Enjoy!!!
@@SomethingToRemember I spend a lot of time in Scotland, im used to being the butt of a few jokes. ^^
What time of year did you go?
Most of it was filmed in August and September
What month of the year was this video taken in? =))))
Some in April/May, some in September 😊
No Cork??
Great video other than making notes. Highlighted words went too fast.
